  1. vt-x not available mavericks?

Yeah you need that for virtualization support. remove dart=0 from your arguments settings in chameleon wizard and disable Vt-d from your bios or UEFI (if it's a EFI based mainboard) settings, and see what happens.
  2. Problem with sleep

It's safe to assume that a lot has changed under the hood in Mavericks, so who knows maybe the .1 version or someone who can provide a clue or point to DSDT and/or other solutions that we can perform
  3. Problem with sleep

Upon further investigation, turns out that sleep does work, only it takes much longer.. Shutdown and restart issues persist though, I'm starting to believe that Apple changed the way this works, in some manner (either in a driver or in the kernel) Official Mac forums are filled with issues concerning shutdown and sleep issues. @PoisonApple666 I have similar output minus the IOBluetoothHIDDriver (is your bluetooth working ok?) and the UserIsActive for me is 0 Unless someone comes up with something, I guess we must wait, I think my DSDT and kextstat look ok, I've posted on the forums with my Issue (Gigabyte X58 UD4P) I really don't know what else to look at.
  4. Problem with sleep

same issue here, x58 mainboard as well. Tell you what, open terminal and run this: pmset -g assertions And paste here what is says, I'm suspecting core audio or USB
  5. Mavericks only boots in safe mode (-x)

Does it boot with -f switch? (just this)
  6. [10.9 - Installation Troubleshooting]

Well if you followed the guide you'd read, and I quote You'll need to read the guide carefully to make this work, especially if you don't know what you're doing. Just use an external usb stick to make your test it looks like you're using a standard external hard disk here.. Good luck
  7. [10.9 - Installation Troubleshooting]

Hey guys, I've been having some issues as well on my Gigabyte X58_UD4P- ATI5450 system. bios F14p I use chameleon 2.2 - r2266 with latest fakesmc and associated plug ins straight from the source (5.3.9 I believe) I have managed to install all right, I also have latest DSDT edits (after 10.8.5) audio working, graphics and everything works fine, except sleep, shutdown and restart. I get a black screen after a while and computer keeps running, sleep interestingly enough goes to black screen as well but if you move the mouse you get the login screen, so nothing happens. All crucial kexts seem to be loading (AppleLPC, AppleIntelCpuPowerManagement, AppleHPET etc) and checked IoRegistryExplorer as well. System will not boot if I don't use -f mode which apparently is a switch that does nothing (officially, since Mavericks use the kernel cache) but does something, I guess the boot cache. but I digress and I could be wrong. Tried: PCIRoot:1, npci=0x200, which change nothing. I've been busting my head here, so any suggestion welcome. Problem fixed! With the suggestion of member iFire I updated a kext I used for my USB Wifi stick which uses drivers from Ralink, the drivers I had were Snow Leopard old (RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext) and although they were completely functional, they prevented the machine to shutdown or restart of course. link: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/files/file/167-mavericks-ralink-usb-rt2870rt2770rt3x7xrt537x/
  8. How do you mean it doesn't support kexts in Extra\Extensions folder? I've just installed Mavericks and FakeSMC version 5.2.655 straight from the source (HWmonitor works) and associated plugins are in that folder (chameleon installed in system drive) I also have AHCI_3rdParty_eSATA and IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector there with Chameleon version: 2.2-r2266 I've got everything working in my system (GA X58-UD4P_ATI5450) except shutdown sleep and restart, all kexts load fine (IntelCPU, AppleLPC) patched AppleRTC as well, but to no avail.
  9. I want to thank JBraddock, for his contribution as well.. I'm happy to report that I also created a smooth Mountain Lion (10.8.2) installation on my HDX 16 (9600GT M 1050ev model but will work on other models as well) For my installation i used Chameleon version v2.1 r2070 Everything works except the intel 5100 WIFI card which I knew beforehand not to bother with (but I have a really cheap compatible Atheros HP card on order) so for now I'm using a Ralink usb WIFI stick. Also as said before touchpad functionality is a bit limited to generic use but then again I use a mouse, I care not. More specifically: Audio is fine, (The top control touch slider works fine) All flash content and no crashes or crackles with only a small one when shutting down...you'll have to use these Kexts I found, put them in System\Library\Extensions. Backup first and then delete AppleHDA.kext first otherwise you'll get an immediate kernel panic: IDT 92HD71B7hdx16Audio.zip In extra\extensions I used this collection of kexts (including the keyboard and touchpad ones and plugins for hardware monitoring ExtraExt.zip For 2 Power States (I haven't bothered that much with that yet) use that SSDT in Extra: SSDT.aml.zip This is my chameleon bootconfig file in Extra: org.chameleon.Boot.plist.zip This the HWMonitor App I use (Thanks to the team developing this amazing utility) that's compatible with these plugins. You can set the application to start at login if you wish HWMonitor.zip Thats' the DSDT I use, it contains nvidia GT 9600GT changes so that you won't get a black screen at boot: dsdt.aml.zip That's the absolutely essential kext you'll need (System\Library\Extensions) so that you'll be to able to boot normally and not get and endless spinning wheel and Apple Logo at bootime or kernel panic at verbose mode backup the original one delete it and then install this one using kext utility or just copy it and repair permissions: AppleACPIPlatform.kext.zip Ok that's what you'll need..I had some other issues due to getting a new Scorpio Blue disk 500Gb with 4k sectors so there was some minimal terminal work to be done to have chameleon boot properly (Let me know if you need help with that)...Other than that I used a ready made Image of mountain lion which i restored from another Mac using superduper... Cheers! P.S: One more thing I had some issues with all my memory being properly recognized and weird auto sleep issue just before login...So I used an old windows installation on that laptop from another disk to update the bios and everything worked. dsdt.aml.zip ExtraExt.zip SSDT.aml.zip org.chameleon.Boot.plist.zip HWMonitor.zip AppleACPIPlatform.kext.zip IDT 92HD71B7hdx16Audio.zip
  10. 8800 GT to Quadro FX 3700

So in sort is it possible by using the nVIDIA Bios editor and aquamac's 3700 bios to copy a 9800 GTX's values (like timings and temp) to the quadro bios and then flash the 9800 GTX as a 3700?
