ATI Radeon Mobility x1400 Working with full resolution and QE/CI Enabled

I've tried countless kexts to no avail, and have only been able to successfully update to 10.6.3. Any time I try installing 10.6.8 I get kernel panics (probably partially cuz I could only get iATKOS S3 to actually boot and install) I do have a retail SL disc but haven't been able to successfully boot off it (actually get to the install portion) and don't have the patience to wait for replies considering I'm lucky to get a reply within a week or 2. Also in regards to the BCM4311 I've read all over that it should just work out of box on 10.5.5 or better and where the card is recognized by lspci I have no way of configuring it, the system just consistently tells me no airport card installed regardless of versions or of kexts (IOPCIFamily, IOPCMCIAFamily, 80211)

ATI Radeon Mobility x1400 Working with full resolution and QE/CI Enabled

Hi everyone, hopefully you can help me. I'm running 10.5.8 on my Acer Aspire 5672WLMi and cannot for the life of me get this x1400 working. I've replaced the ATIRadeonX1000.kext with my modified one including my dev ID (0x71451002) also added RadeonHD.kext with the EDID from OP (assuming it will be identical since it's the same laptop) and am getting no changes whatsoever. Upon looking at System Profiler > Graphics/Display it says "Kernel Extension Info: No Kext Loaded". This laptop seems to be my kryptonite as this video card and the stupid Broadcom 4311 wifi have refused to work for me no matter what guides/tutorials I've followed, even though both have been shown to work countless times. Now that I've finally found a *current* thread I figured I might fix one of my issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated. PS. Any help for the wifi feel free to PM me Update: I got 1280x800 working but still no QE/CI

Help! How can i install Hackintosh on my computer

I think your main problem is the AMD processor, OSx86 is aimed towards Intel.
  4. I'm trying to install this and see according to OSx86project.org's HCL this laptop is compatible, but being a complete layman with just about all things OSx, I'm unsure what it is referring to. Aspire 5672 WLMI Current OS X Version: 10.5.5 Install Method: Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5 iAtkos 5i CPU: Intel® CoreDuo processor T2300E 1.66 GHz 667 FSB Chipset: Intel® 945GM/PM/GMS Express Video:Radeon X1600--1280x800,QE/CI enabled, ATIinject, working perfekt LAN Broadcom 5789 AppleBCM5751EthernetEH.kext working WLAN: BCM94311MCG;chun-nan's IOPCMCIAFamily.kext, working perfekt Audio: Intel® High-Definition ALC 883Audio.mpkg , working perfekt Touchpad: Synaptics working 5-in-1 card reader not tested Time Machine Working fix IONetworkingFamily.kext All necessary files source: Insanelymac Firstly, I'm not sure how to install the various kext files it seems to say I require, though I have found them. I'm also not exactly sure what the ATIinject is. I ran through the install process and under "Customize" I selected all drivers figuring it would give me the best chances of having the required ones. But upon reboot I just get an apple screen at boot. Shut down and booted int verbose mode and it locks up showing MAC Framework successfully initialized using 10485 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers I then tried booting in safe mode with verbose active and froze up at the same spot, so I'm making the assumption that I made a big boo-boo somewhere. Anyone have any advice? TIA Also, feel free to ask for any further information as I am by no means a computer layman, just always been a PC man!
