I've used it and the novelty of it lasted me a few days. Granted I didn't have a huge collection, and probably would've gotten bored fairly quickly due to the tedious task of holding UPC's up to the camera. It was fun though and definitely a good idea to use if you sell or trade DVD's/games/CD's or have a specific out of the way place for them and you want to remember how to get to specific things quickly. And if you use the app iTunes Library Manager you can have as many iTunes libraries as you'd like.

NTFS Read/Write Support Finally here!

I had that same problem, just uninstall NTFS-3G. Going to try and go back to the earlier build, might even need to use MacFUSE .3 or whatever too. -

Anyone had any luck getting a kext that bring a x300 out of sleep? Sucks having everything (mostly) work except being able to bring the monitor out of sleep.

You can try phb's package. Works great on my Inspiron 9300's alps touchpad, even have 2 finger scrolling working. Get it here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=5419 get the RC1 pacakge, its on page 4 or 5.

Anyone? I should've said before that the webcam did in fact come with it's own OS X drivers. But they don't work for me either. Could it be something with my USB controller? Or is it the USB kext?

It's a Logitech Quickcam Communicate STX and macam says it is supported. I just tried that ioexperts driver, even though it's not listed as supported and it didn't work. macam actually does manage to get the mic part of the webcam semi-working, even though no sound can be heard if you try and record in Quicktime.

Welp I've been lurking around for awhile and search has often been my friend (both here and Google), but at the moment, and for awhile now, I'm at my wits end trying to fix this problem. I'm running the 8.4.1 kernel and 10.4.8, been running smooth for months. Only problems I actually have is that my wirless doesn't work (saw a thread about a possible extension that never came to be, so I'm not worrying about that so much) and I cannot for the life of me get any USB webcam to work. Every single time I plug a cam in, macam, Quicktime, whatever I'm using just never gets any picture. I've plugged it in to different ports, updated my BIOS, changed settings in my BIOS, all to no avail. Even though the cam is detected in macam, in System Profiler it's just listed as USB Device. Real generic, probably should be more specific like my mouse is (listed by name and all that goodness) right? Anyways the error I constantly get is isocComplete: Error: kIOUSBNotSent2Err - Transaction not sent Over and over. I'm assuming now it's a USB kext issue, but I don't know enough to know that I'm right. Anyone experienced this before? By the way I'm running on a Inspiron 9300. (Don't mind me being a bit wordy, it's early/late and i haven't slept. It's my right to ramble. )

Seems that only people with the 8.8.1 kernel don't get the crash?
