  1. Waiting for DSMOS...

It does not appear that you have installed any other kexts such as FakeSMC. Please do some more research and then come back here.
  2. Get a Gigabyte MB. Get a Nvidia GPU. Get a Dual or Quad core processor. Get any Hard Drive. Get any DVD/CD Drive. There please look at the 10.6 Hardware Compatibility List for more help.
  3. Hi all, I've been using Bootloader2 with Snow Leopard support on my hack. I've never been able to get Chameleon RC2 or RC3 to work. On RC2 with PCEFI V10.1 I had a kernel panic when booting. With RC3, I get a CPU halt. I'd like to get Chameleon to work, I used it on my Leopard install and it was really nice. Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you.
  4. Updating my vanilla 10.5.8 install?

Hi again, You're only going to need the CMOS reset fix if your BIOS keeps being reset on shutdown/restart. If it isn't, then don't worry about it. To decompile you DSDT.aml file, you a program such as iasl. I would recommend installing snow on a separate hard drive or partition to figure out how to get it to work, then you could either transfer the applications, etc. over or you could do a clean install. 64 bit kexts: http://redirectingat.com/?id=292X457&u...repare-yourself I would use all of the included kexts except for the Nvidia enabler. Use efi-strings in the com.apple.boot.plist file if you are not already using them. Hope this helps.
  5. Keep doing what my post above said. It will work. Guaranteed.
  6. Updating my vanilla 10.5.8 install?

What I did was installed on my partition to get everything right. Simply "updating" your 10.5 install would break it and it would be a lot of work to fix. Download the 64 bit kexts file, apply the cmos reset fix to your dsdt, and you should be good. I assume you made the dsdt file with a dsdt generator or the such? Use kext utility after booting with -v -x -f -x32 to repair. After that you shouldn't get any kernel panics. If you need any more help, let me know.
  7. I don't need that kext for my computer, so I didn't need to use that.
  8. SL on Intel DP35DP

Use kext utility to repair permissions.
  9. Three things you can do that made my install work: 1. Enable AHCI mode in BIOS. 2. Install bootloader2 (based on Chameleon 1, but eliminated many booting problems). Make sure the install the boot file too. 3. Download the 64 bit kexts file at: http://stellarola.tumblr.com/post/165429070/prepare-yourself and install into your extras folder. 4. I would recommend using efi strings to start, so remove the nvidia enabler that is in the 64 bit kext pack. 5. Boot with -v -f -x -x32 and use kext utility to clean up the kexts. Hope you can get it working. I had problems similar to you. Then it finally worked. Keep us posted.
  10. iTunes Computer Activation failes!

Hi, I had the same problem. There is a .plist network file that you need to delete and it should work fine. Do a search on the forum and you'll find the thread.
  11. iDVD not Working

    BUMP.
  12. iDVD not Working

Hi, I really need iDVD to work. . . I just installed iAtkos v7 and installed all of the updates. Everything works as it should except for iDVD. First problem was there was no sound but there was rotating menus. It also wouldn't accept any file formats (music and video) that I know work because I have other real macs and they work fine. Then I got everything working except the file format issue. Not being able to put in files makes iDVD pretty much useless. I have to use the hackintosh for iDVD, so any suggestions you would have would be super appreciated! I have the graphics injector from Netkas and QE is enabled. Thanks so much.
