  1. you are out of luck then... your previous statement is a contradiction to your request...
  2. - Dojomann did you make your own DSDT? or which one are you using from the zip pack? Whats your BIOS version? My board is V1. I wonder whether the DSDT is causing the problem? Can you post please what exactly are you using? kexts, folder you put in, pcefi, chameleoon. boot flags, bios settings change? STILL KERNEL PANIC for me. Can anyone please post a DSDT.aml for v1?
  3. yes these are the kexts I have been using: fakesmc.kext.zip NullCPUPowerManagement.kext_for_snow_64.tar OpenHaltRestart.kext_for_snow_64.tar VoodooHDA_Pref.zip AHCIPortInjector.kext.zip IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext.zip Also using DSDT.aml with CMOS fix And I am always getting "Still waiting for root device". Then I tried this: Updated_With_DevID_z0r_AppleIntelPIIXATA.kext.zip Finally the root device was detected but got KERNEL PANIC, any ideas?
  4. Yes, its at the top of the List. I don't understand how this guide works for some and not for me, given that we all have the same specs... Do I need to remove/add more kexts? it clearly doesn't get the HD. see in the screenshot, its waits for the device with that UUID...
  5. I finally got rid off "FakeSMC" and "VoodooHDA" problem: I got the 64bit compiled version of both the kexts I put both the kexts inside the /S/L/E instead of E/E I am using Chameleon V2 RC1 and pcefi 10.1 and system disk (SL) on SATA1(there is no SATA0). I am still getting the "Still waiting for root device". Any more ideas guys? Thanks sroddy and passw.
  6. Hi, My Specs are as follows: Asus P6T Deluxe Socket 1366 (v1) Intel Core i7 920 Asus nVidia GeForce 9800GTX+ 512MB Seagate Barracuda 500GB 720RPM SATA HD 6GB DDR3 OCZ ==================================== I have installed OSX 10a432 on the above dedicated hard drive. I have finished everything including Step (IV). I am stuck at "Still waiting for root device". ===================================== When I start the Snow Leopard with "-v", I see: kxld[org.netkas.fakesmc]: The Mach-O file is malformed: invalid magic number: 0xbebafeca can't load kext org.netkas.fakesmc - link failed. failed to load executable for kext org.netkas.fakesmc. kext org.netkas.fakesmc failed to load (0xdc008016). failed to load kext org.netkas.fakesmc (error 0xdc008016). couldn't alloc class "FakeSMC" Also similar message comes for VoodooHDA.kext kext org.voodoo.driver.voodooHDA - library kext com.apple.iokit.IOAudioFamily not found can't load org.voodoo.driver.voodooHDA - failed to resolve library dependencies. And then after some stuff... "Still waiting for root device". ======================================= I thought the downloaded kext files were corrupted, so I re downloaded them from different source and did the "Kext Utility" thing on the new files. I have tried both "AHCI" and "IDE" mode setup in BIOS but .... Still the same messages are coming. ======================================== Any help would be very much appreciated! Do I need to change UUID on the smbios? also in PlatformUUID.kext? Also the "AHCIPortInjector.kext" provided here doesnt even have any ICH10 ids, I am wondering whether it is being used or working as it is suppose to on this board?
  7. Hi, I have the Sony Vaio VGN-Z620. it has the same Graphics card and Wi-Fi. (http://www.docs.sony.com/release/SPECS/VGNZ620D_mksp.pdf) I have installed iDeneb 1.6 with NVDarwin 256 for the video card. Install went fine but after boot I kept getting a black screen. I fixed the black screen problem by doing the following: ============================ -enter in single mode ("-s" when you boot) -then remove the kext : rm -rf System/Library/Extensions/nvdaresman.kext ============================ I have everything working but I don't have the QE/CE enabled in the graphics card and I can not change the resolution or the brightness. Can you please guide me on how to manually enable the QE/CE for the 9300m GS card? i.e. what things I need to change or modify for this card to work and control the brightness? If I install everything from your hp CD, my system freezes, so I am interested only in the 9300m graphics card driver solution. Please let me know. your help is very much appreciated!
