  1. Another guy with sleep/wake problems

As far as I know, almost all Gigabyte's Z77 ( with UEFI ) boards are able to sleep and wake out of box. So does my GA-Z77x-UD3H. I previously experienced a similar problem. I overclocked my machine, and it can sleep only once. (After wake-up, I pressed sleep and nothing happened) My solution is to disable ``CPU PLL Overvoltage'' in BIOS. Now, with my own SSDT for overclocks, my machine has many Pstates, and proper sleeping and waking-up. More background : No NCPM nor RTC/AICPM patches, no DSDT. Hope this would help
  2. USB 3.0 ports cause ML to freeze

I had the same experience before. Have you guys tried to set XHCI hand-off to ``enabled'' in BIOS?
  3. ATI HD 5770

You know? I've been waiting it for a long time. Can't wait to test it
  4. ATI HD 5770

I guess...if the OS can recognize the card by reading the BIOS, we won't be needing any injector or hack...
  5. ATI HD 5770

I experienced the same scrambled screen when I modified my BIOS's Clock Info in hope of overclocking GPU on Mac ( of course, I failed ) See if your BIOS is pre-edited, or try another BIOS ROM if your card is a reference model Remember, flashing your card and replacing BIOS ROM in /Extra/ are BOTH REQUIRED
  6. Radeon HD 5870 / HD 5850

I'm not sure if HIS 5850 can use my ROM You may try extract your BIOS ROM using Radeon BIOS Editor That boot file is somehow necessary I tried switching that boot file with Chameleon 2 RC5 Trunk Rev384, only one DVI port shows on screen and QE/CI are off Of course, BIOS ROM is a must, without it, black screen all the time. Remark : Seems the HDMI port on my 5850 is not working if none of the DVI ports is connected it's meaningless because we still have two DVI ports, just a reminder. And of course......no ATY_init.kext is needed
  7. Radeon HD 5870 / HD 5850

AWESOME, it works! A screenshot and the BIOS ROM are attached The OpenGL scores are as if ATY_init.kext is used instead. My Config : Core i5 750 GA-P55-USB3 XFX 5850 ( Reference ) What I've done : A clean install of SL 10.6.4, install the kexts from iMac update mid 2010: ATI5000Controller.kext ATIRadeonX3000.kext ATIRadeonX3000GA.kext ATIRadeonX3000GLDriver.kext ATIRadeonX3000VADriver.kext ATISupport.kext ATIFramebuffer.kext Rebuild caches and repair permissions using Kext Utility 2.4.2 Add the keys to com.apple.Boot.plist <key>UseAtiROM</key> <string>yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> Reboot, and enjoy Keep on your good work Trauma! 1002_6899.rom.zip
  8. Radeon HD 5870 / HD 5850

You should have misunderstood. My hackintosh is working in 32bit mode My case is that when i replaced my bootloader with Trauma!'s boot file, with GE=yes, it gave me a black screen.
  9. Radeon HD 5870 / HD 5850

See if this is what you needed. Thanks Trauma!. pkfsmuck.ioreg.zip
  10. Radeon HD 5870 / HD 5850

I tried using arch=x86_64 as well, same problem. Reference 5850 has one DP, one HDMI and two DVI ports. I tried all but the DP ('coz i don't have a DP adaptor), no difference.
  11. Radeon HD 5870 / HD 5850

Not working on my 5850 ( XFX, reference model ),too , black screen is resulted.
