  1. Hello all, I have a problem with running yosemite... I have been using this pc since Leopard version and i was able to run it smoothly but now i have a problem with yosemite.: Specifications ------------------------- 1. CPU -- I7-920 2. Motherboard -- GIGABYTE GA-EX58-UD5 3. GraphicsCard -- Nvidia GT 640 Bootloader -- Chameleon --------------------------- Ok here it goes: I 've succesfully installed Yosemite in HD, but cannot make it run.. First of all it i had the "unable to find driver for this platform: \"ACPI\".n"@/SourceCache/xnu/xnu-1504.15.2/iokit/Kernel" problem but it seems to missed the knonw issues subthread, i have overcome this by using -f at the bootloader.. Now i have the problem "Kernel trap at 0xffffff80006980997, type 14=page fault, registers:.....".. etc I have tried every command at the startup -f -x -v GraphicsEnabler PCIRootUID etc... but with no success.. Can someone help me please? Thank you for your time in advance, !
  2. Hello folks, I have a problem with my system.. first of all i have the following specifications : Motherboard: GA-EX58-UD5 Video : XFX 512mb Intel i7-920 10GB memory ram corsair 1600Mhz ( 3 x 2GB and 1 x 4GB) 2 x Seagate 2TB and 1 x Western Digital 650 GB @ 7200 rpm OSX 10.8.4 ( Mountain Lion ) Everything was working fine under BIOS F12 but one day my system recognized only 4GB of ram, it didn't recognized all my ram under F12 bios ( Yes i did try to change the slots and to leave only the 6gb ram but bios recognize only 4GB.) When i am trying to update my BIOS to F13 it recognizes all the ram.. but now the computer stuck at the following point that i am showing in the picture... ( Yes i changed the default bios settings after updating to F13, and use AHCI etc..) Sorry for the bad quality of photos...
  3. Hello folks, I have a problem with my hackintosh.. My macmod does not recognize the IDE DVD-RW... i have it for almost a year now and everything is perfect except the DVD.. My hackintosh specs are the following: GA-EX58-UD5 motherboard (yes i followed the method that digital_dreamer posted) i7-920 cpu. I tried the Jmicron36exSata.kext Any advice it would be helpfully. Thank you in advance..
  4. Sorry for the problem guys i found the solution.. I would like to thank eep357 for his help and of course JamesLittler for his excellent support and help.. Also i am sorry for the late reply since I didn't want to risk my CPU by turning it on.. It seems that my CPU fan was not running properly thus the high temps did not allowed the computer to run at normal speeds.. I cleaned the FAN and remove all the dust from there, and added an extra one.. now I am going to buy a watercooling system.. The temps now are from 50-60 degrees.. Thank you guys for your support.. and sorry for bothering you! P.S: Still Bios F12 is more stable than F13 on my machine.. But there is no problem for that!
  5. I have noticed very high cpu temperatures.. the following temps are at the start-up ... when i have the computer on for a while they jump up to 95-98 degrees Celcius NOTE: I am not Overclocking Ambient (room) temp: 33 degrees Celcius
  6. HWmonitor it doesn't seem to work... I did install it manually and automatic but when i am using running it... the icon will show up for 1 second in the taskbar and the disappear... the files and ports that open are the following: / /Applications/HWMonitor.app/Contents/MacOS/HWMonitor /System/Library/Extensions/SMARTLib.plugin/Contents/MacOS/SMARTLib /System/Library/Fonts/LucidaGrande.ttc /usr/share/icu/icudt46l.dat /System/Library/Keyboard Layouts/AppleKeyboardLayouts.bundle/Contents/Resources/AppleKeyboardLayouts-L.dat /private/var/folders/gw/6wjjnj2j26z8t4rm3kk_f_wh0000gp/C/com.apple.LaunchServices-034502.csstore /System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/HIToolbox.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Extras2.rsrc /usr/lib/dyld /private/var/db/dyld/dyld_shared_cache_x86_64 /dev/null ->0xffffff800cbc70d0 ->0xffffff800cbc70d0 count=1, state=0x2 /System/Library/Frameworks/Carbon.framework/Versions/A/Frameworks/HIToolbox.framework/Versions/A/Resources/Extras2.rsrc I used sysclt in terminal and here is the information for my cpu : machdep.cpu.max_basic: 11 machdep.cpu.max_ext: 2147483656 machdep.cpu.vendor: GenuineIntel machdep.cpu.brand_string: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7 CPU 920 @ 2.67GHz machdep.cpu.family: 6 machdep.cpu.model: 26 machdep.cpu.extmodel: 1 machdep.cpu.extfamily: 0 machdep.cpu.stepping: 4 machdep.cpu.feature_bits: 3219913727 10019773 machdep.cpu.extfeature_bits: 672139520 1 machdep.cpu.signature: 67236 machdep.cpu.brand: 0 machdep.cpu.features: FPU VME DE PSE TSC MSR PAE MCE CX8 APIC SEP MTRR PGE MCA CMOV PAT PSE36 CLFSH DS ACPI MMX FXSR SSE SSE2 SS HTT TM PBE SSE3 DTES64 MON DSCPL VMX EST TM2 SSSE3 CX16 TPR PDCM SSE4.1 SSE4.2 POPCNT machdep.cpu.extfeatures: SYSCALL XD EM64T LAHF RDTSCP TSCI machdep.cpu.logical_per_package: 16 machdep.cpu.cores_per_package: 8 machdep.cpu.microcode_version: 10 machdep.cpu.processor_flag: 1 machdep.cpu.mwait.linesize_min: 64 machdep.cpu.mwait.linesize_max: 64 machdep.cpu.mwait.extensions: 3 machdep.cpu.mwait.sub_Cstates: 4384 machdep.cpu.thermal.sensor: 1 machdep.cpu.thermal.dynamic_acceleration: 1 machdep.cpu.thermal.invariant_APIC_timer: 0 machdep.cpu.thermal.thresholds: 2 machdep.cpu.thermal.ACNT_MCNT: 1 machdep.cpu.thermal.core_power_limits: 0 machdep.cpu.thermal.fine_grain_clock_mod: 0 machdep.cpu.thermal.package_thermal_intr: 0 machdep.cpu.thermal.hardware_feedback: 0 machdep.cpu.thermal.energy_policy: 0 machdep.cpu.arch_perf.version: 3 machdep.cpu.arch_perf.number: 4 machdep.cpu.arch_perf.width: 48 machdep.cpu.arch_perf.events_number: 7 machdep.cpu.arch_perf.events: 64 machdep.cpu.arch_perf.fixed_number: 3 machdep.cpu.arch_perf.fixed_width: 48 machdep.cpu.cache.linesize: 64 machdep.cpu.cache.L2_associativity: 8 machdep.cpu.cache.size: 256 machdep.cpu.tlb.inst.small: 64 machdep.cpu.tlb.inst.large: 7 machdep.cpu.tlb.data.small: 64 machdep.cpu.tlb.data.large: 32 machdep.cpu.tlb.shared: 512 machdep.cpu.address_bits.physical: 36 machdep.cpu.address_bits.virtual: 48 machdep.cpu.core_count: 4 machdep.cpu.thread_count: 8 machdep.cpu.flex_ratio.desired: 0 machdep.cpu.flex_ratio.min: 12 machdep.cpu.flex_ratio.max: 20
  7. Ok here is my kernel.log I forgot to mention that i am using an external firewire soundcard ( model: focusrite saffire LE) but i am getting low geekbench scores even if the soundcard is unplugged kernel.txt
  8. I am using Q-Flash for updating my bios using a USB stick fromatted in Fat32.. After that i Load optimized defaults.. then another reboot changing the necessary things to be bootable with OSX .. such as AHCI etc.. Ok i am going to post my kernel.log in couple of minutes
  9. Yes i can confirm that I am using only the kexts and dsdt you uploaded for me.. I am using that on a new partition.. ( I am using Bios version F12 since F13 is not stable and stack after 4-5 minutes)
  10. I forgot to attach the new kext James so i edited the above post.. geekbench score with 6gb ram Fresh installation using James Kexts... http://browser.prima...ekbench2/733448 Getting geekbench score 3042 with an i7-920 it's absolutely ridiculous!
  11. I forgot to upload the new kexstat before so here it is.. Also i have noticed that in my geekbench scores : Processor ID GenuineIntel Family 6 Model 26 Stepping 4 when i compare it to other ga-ex58-ud5 with i7-920 they have the following : Processor ID GenuineIntel Family 6 Model 26 Stepping 5 kextstatNEW.rtf
  12. Thank you for the help eep357 and JamesLittler but unfortunately i am still having very low geekbench scores... here is my new kexstat... Is there a chance to be a hardware problem.. ? I did give it a try with only 6GB ram just removing the extra 4GB ram single slot..
