    El Capitan HD

Because the the message on the screen said fail to loaded executable fakeSMC.kext. It is possible that the version of the FakeSMC.kext is not compatible with the kext? The spec is in the signature. And the Realtek8111.kext also fail to load. Could you add some more kexts and different version of the FakeSMC?

    El Capitan HD

Hi Chris1111, Thank for your hard work this a better and faster way to install Hackintosh. For me it works almost perfectly except audio and network don't work. Here it's my set up: I have El Capitan beta3 install on SSD and an empty HDD (the HDD was rename to Macintosh-HD by the installer) for install the release version of El Capitan. The first try: Install on to the Macintosh-HD then reboot into it. It hung on the line can't find bluetooth transport.... I found out the the FakeSMC is not loaded so I boot into my beta3 SSD to do the post install and change the install location to the Macintosh-HD select just the FakeSMC and then reboot into Macintosh-HD success! but the audio and network won't work Second try: Boot into the Macintosh-HD and do the post install and select the ALC1150 and VoodooHDA for audio and Realtek81xxGB ethernet for network reboot into the Macintosh-HD it hung on can't find bluetooth transport... because the FakeSMC is not loaded. Boot into the beta3 SSD to do post install and change the install location to the Macintosh-HD and select only the FakeSMC then reboot into the Macintosh-HD it boot into the desktop but the audio and network still not work then do the post install on the Macintosh-HD and select the same audio and network kexts then reboot again the same problem hung on can't find bluetooth transport... because the FakeSMC is not loaded. Third try: Boot into beta3 SSD do the post install change the install location to the Macintosh-HD choose just the FakeSMC so it can boot into the Macintosh-HD desktop. This time I install the Realtek8111.kext that I downloaded separately using the kext utility app then reboot it hung again because the FakeSMC is not loaded. I still can't install the network or the audio kexts because the FakeSMC is not going to loaded. Do you know why the FakeSMC is not loaded when I install a kext?

    Multi Monitors on Yosemite

This thread is intend to be to the place for people who has multi monitors set up to share about their experience on set up more than one monitor on OS X 10.10 Yosemite whether success or failure, question, problem that you'd like to share. I have dual monitors that capable of doing 2560x1440 @60 hz that connected to the AMD Radeon R9 270 via both HDMI and DVI-D under Windows 8.1 they work perfectly but on Yosemite only one monitor works at a time never both at the same time. What I did what edit the AMD7000Controller.kext and AMDRadeonX4000.kext to add the device ID (R9 270 ID is 68111002) into the info.plist as describe by this thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294315-radeon-r9-270x-framebuffer-issue/hl=%20r9%20%20270 The process is copy the two kexts to desktop then edit: for AMD7000Controller.kext show package content->Contents->info.plist->IOKitPersonalities->Controller->IOPCIMatch then add/modify 0x68111002 for AMDRadeonX4000.kext show package content->Contents->info.plist->IOKitPersonalities->AMDPitcairnGraphicsAccelerator->IOPCIMatch then add/modify 0x68111002 then use Kext Utility app to install the two kexts, reboot if you use clover as a bootloader add kext-dev-mode=1 for kernel argument in the option menu note: install Xcode 6 would make it easier for editing the info.plist, you also have to do this again every time you do system software update Here the result of my Cinebench r15: openGL 106.88 fps, cpu 709 cb Anyone get the dual monitor working on Yosemite?

Radeon R9 280X Triple Monitor Solution

Could you detail how to set it up? I want to try it with my R9 270 with my dual monitor. Currently only one monitor work (@ 2560x1440) either via HDMI or DVID but not both as the same time.

    Radeon R9 270X framebuffer issue

FYI, I have an ASUS R9 270 card and Dual 27" monitor with 2560x1440 (they work perfectly under Win8.1) that I've been experimented with I'm current running OSX Yosemite beta2. What I did was modified the info.plist as describe here [R9 270 users will need to manually insert device id number 0x68111002 in to info.plist files inside AMD7000Controller.kext & AMDRadeon4000X.kext] And the frame buffer that is used Fotomaki/Hamachi The result so far is that: HDMI, and the two DVI-D work @ 2560x1440 individually with the trick that the other monitor must be unplug. If both monitors are plug in the HDMI drop to 1080p and the other monitor go black even the other monitor was turn off! Unfortunately I didn't test DP port since I don't have monitor that can do DP. Has any one have success with Dual monitor working perfectly?

Yosemite: Audio - Realtek ALC AppleHDA

Hi tolida, I have Realtek ALC 1150 that come with my mother board ASRock Z97 extreme6, I'm running Yosemite public beta 2 I've tried the 2 method Piker-Alpha AppleHDA8series 1. the script complaining that the kext-dev-mode=1 is not set event though I put it in the boot argument. 2. The AppleHDA1150 kext was installed into S/L/E but it never loaded may be because it never signed. Boot with either kext-dev-mode=1 set or not have no effect. 3. My monitor is connected to ASUS R9 270 graphic card via HDMI and there is no sound from it

    [UEFIPatch] UEFI patching utility

Hi CodeRush, I got this BIOS from ASRock it is for my Z87 Extreme6AC board. Since I still have problem install OSX. I want to verify that it was patched as I ask them to do. So I use your tool UEFITool v0.18.5_win to search for the string "75080FBAE80F89442430" but It didn't find anything on the message pane. Could you help me verify this? I'm greatly appreciated it. ASRock Z87 Extreme6 success?

Yes, I got the C state MSR unlock version of the BIOS from ASRock. They made a special version L2.35 for me. I had tried Chris1111 http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299865-clover-v2k-r2780-special-edition-yosemite-beta/ . I created the USB installer but when it start to install it auto reboot. I have also removed the Radeon card before installation.
  14. Has anyone been successful installed and working Maverick/Yosemite on the ASRock Z87 Extreme6? If so how you do it? with clover? Chameleon? Could you show the instruction steps of how you do it? Also do you have the DSDT.aml file? Could you upload it? I've been trying for the last 2 weeks to get to work with no avail. I've try Niresh,Tonymac86, and many Guides on this site with no success. Your help would be appreciated. Here are my spec AsRock Z87 Extreme6ac intel i7 4770k 32GB of RAM 500GB samsung evo SSD 3T seagate HDD Asus Radeon R9 270 Asus blueray DVD drive
  15. Is there a way to create a bootable or recovery DVD that can boot either intel or AMD kernel version? After install Snow leopard in my Sony FW290 laptop I was testing various kexts trying to my battery/power management working. And as expected it got kernel panic so I thought well I just boot into single user mode and remove the offending kext. But this kext also makes the single user mode kernel panic. So I'm looking for way to create a bootable disk load up and mount the partition to fix the problem.
