  1. iAtkos Boots into Crash

This is v7. This happens the first time I try to boot from disk - I haven't had a chance to install yet.
  2. I'm trying to install iAtkos v7 on a Dell XPS 16. It loads up, allows me to set boot options, and then flashes the Apple loogo and the computer reboots.
  3. Right, so, the reason you would get a black screen was that because your graphics injectors were wrong, and so you weren't getting graphics. This should fix it. Remember - you can always boot without any sort of EFI string / graphics injectors and at least get a picture to start from.
  4. ApplePS2Controller.kext did the trick for me. For my graphics, I used an EFI string. Use this as your com.apple.Boot.plist - and yes, QE/CI works. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple Computer//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>Boot Graphics</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>No</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>c10200000100000001000000b50200000f00000002010c00d041030a00000000010106000001 0101060000007fff0400220000005600520041004d002c0074006f00740061006c00730069007a006 50000000a000000d31db4d34d3438000000400030002c007500730065002d006200610063006b006c 0069006700680074002d0062006c0061006e006b0069006e0067000000040000001c0000006400650 076006900630065005f00740079007000650000000f0000004e5644412c706172656e742200000040 0030002c006400650076006900630065005f00740079007000650000000b000000646973706c61791 00000006d006f00640065006c0000001a0000004e5649444941204765466f72636520393630302047 5422000000400031002c006400650076006900630065005f00740079007000650000000b000000646 973706c617920000000400031002c0063006f006d00700061007400690062006c00650000000e0000 004e5644412c4e564d616314000000400030002c006e0061006d0065000000120000004e5644412c4 46973706c61792d411c000000400030002c006200750069006c0074002d0069006e00000004000000 2e000000400030002c004100410050004c002c0062006f006f0074002d0064006900730070006c006 100790000000400000014000000400031002c006e0061006d0065000000120000004e5644412c4469 73706c61792d4220000000400030002c0063006f006d00700061007400690062006c00650000000e0 000004e5644412c4e564d616324000000400031002c00630061006e002d0068006f0074002d007000 6c0075006700000004000000100000004e005600430041005000000022000000d38d34d34d34d34d3 4d1dd34e34d34d34d34d34d34d34d3bd34d34d34d341e00000072006f006d002d0072006500760069 00730069006f006e0000000800000074657374</string> </dict> </plist>
  5. Just got my HP HDX 16 working. I recommend iAtkos 10.5.7. After configuring correctly - select no graphic injectors/drivers on install, please!, you need to use an EFI string depending on your card, and put it in com.apple.boot.Plist. That will fix your graphics. You also probably need AppleHDA and HDAEnabler for your sound. This should *break* USB, so remove AppleHPET.kext as well (which will get webcam and everything working). Don't use VoodooHDA or VoodooPS2, but make sure you have the proper PS2keyboard/mouse drivers for your onboard laptop controls. That should be about it!
  6. Best MiniPCIe for OSX86? - Change topic

    Broadcom BCM4321 works fine.
  7. Hacking the HP BIOS Whitelist

Newer HPs have EFI's, not BIOS's.
  8. I am also getting this error... Not sure what's causing it, unfortunately.
  9. Intel Wireless Drivers [OSx86]

Hopefully, he'll return. He hasn't actually distributed any of the stuff he was doing (to my knowledge), so it'd be difficult to start work from where he left off...
  10. Firmware trick won't work because the EFI only has one card on the whitelist - the default INTEL card. Is there any way to A) disable the whitelist open up my machine and put some antenna in?
  11. I'll try this. Just downloaded Ubuntu, putting it on a disk now.
  12. I've searched the forum extensively - no hacked BIOS to be found. I've got an HP HDX 16 Premium Series, Product Number FJ948AV. I've got an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU t9550 @ 2.66GHZ processor, and a Quanta 316B MOBO. Here's the latest BIOS, if anyone can do anything with it : http://g.imagehost.org/download/0994/360FF23 EDIT: Turns out I have an EFI, and not a BIOS?
  13. HP DV Series Whitelist BIOS hack

Would there be any way to go about making a patched BIOS for an HP HDX 16? I would really love it. :censored2:
  14. Recently tried to set up OSx86 on my newly purchased HP. Of course, the Intel internal wireless card doesn't work. I bought a Broadcom, designed for HPs and Macs. It works fine in OSX, however, there are two problems. Firstly, if I put the card in the 2nd PCI-E slot of my laptop, it doesn't have an antenna. There's no way to stretch the antenna over. I could A) Splice the antenna with some wires, and try to extend it, using one antenna for both cards (the intel and the broadcom) Take apart the entire machine, buy a new antenna, put a 2nd antenna in. (Not sure how I'd do this.) If I put the card in my main WIFI slot, I get error 104, due to the BIOS blacklist. I could edit the BIOS, but the BIOS file is .FD, not a .WPH as is stated in this guide : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;p=339537& So, any suggestions on how to get this card working? Ideally, I would love to be able to get it working in the 2nd slot (the slot that is intended for the TV tuner), but if need be, I would be fine with editing the BIOS and replacing my Intel Wifi card with the Broadcom.
  15. USB 2.0 for Leopard 10.5.7

My left-side USB devices don't work, but my right-side do. This occurred *when* I upgraded from 10.5.6 to 10.5.7. Would this be the solution I need?
