  1. Hello guys, This is a little bit out of topic but i had to ask. My dell decided not to give any signs of life at all. Pressing the power button does nothing and status LED is not lightning up also. It seems like its completelly dead. I tried removing ssd, ram modules and turning it on, but even then it doesnt give error codes (amber and white lights) on front LED. The only time it responds is if I hold CTRL + ESC and insert the power adapter. But according to the manuals something should be displayed on the screen but its not. The laptop is missing the battery and this happened when i pulled the cable out because it was stuck on the dell logo for a while and it didnt respond to the power button. Any kind of help is appreciated. Thanks!
  2. Is anyone experiencing long wake up time? If so, how did You solve it?
  3. There is no difference between your repo files and the ones that I used in my run. Did a binary compare and they are completely the same. So only difference was that I put everything in the "Other" folder instead of the "10.13" folder. Probably has something to do with Clover not recognising the installer version as you said. Maybe update the github with this as the one of the possible solutions for the kextd stall AppleACPICPU error?
  4. Mine are working properly once i had installed all the required kexts. @wmchris, is it safe to use different SMBIOS? One from MBP13,3? It has a different CPU then the one we are using. Only thing that I am missing currently is sound over HDMI.
  5. vmchris gave you the answer. https://github.com/wmchris/DellXPS15-9550-OSX/tree/10.13/Additional/PatchAppleBacklight_v2
  6. I just managed to get past the kextd stalld AppleACPICPU message, by using some of the files from darkhandz repo. Removing the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/10.13 folder and moving everything in the /EFI/CLOVER/kexts/Other. Create the folder if it doesn't exist. Also replaced everything in the drivers64UEFI with the files from darkhandz repo. I am now waiting for upgrade to finish.
  7. I tried reinstalling clover, this time booted up from cloverx64.efi, but it still stalls at the same place. Tried putting the AppleACPIPlatform.kext on usb EFI but it still stalls at the same place. Redownloaded the image, created the USB drive again, same error. Mine is i7, same as yours, just samsungs nvme. Judging by the description Lockzi left he is using one too.
  8. I actually am using your files, what else could i use I can get into installer no problem, it finishes its work in 5 minutes and then after reboot I am greeted in Clover with 3 options, Boot OS X Install from Install macOS High Sierra, Boot macOS Install from Macintosh HD, Boot macOS from Macintosh HD. I believe I should choose the Boot macOS Install from Macintosh HD? But it stalls with AppleACPICPU. I copied all the files from Your repo and it didnt work. After I tried adding AppleACPIPlatform.kext from some other guide. Now I am stuck Thank you for all the help!
  9. For the update process, once you install over the old system, after the restart it stalls at kextd stall 'AppleACPICPU' I created the install usb with createinstallmedia from High Sierra app but it wasnt booting after installing clover. For anyone that may come across the same issue, make sure that the entry in BIOS is pointing to the /EFI/BOOT/bootx64.efi and not /EFI/CLOVER/CLOVERX64.efi
  10. Ok, thanks man. I will give it a shot.
  11. You also couldn't get into the recovery mode only? Regular system was working ok? Or You had this same problem with regular system?
  12. My system is booting and working normally, only the recovery is making problems. I am not sure that I understand Your sentence about the OsxAptioFixDrv.
  13. Using the -x boot argument I get this OsxAptioFix2Drv: Starting overrides for /com.apple.recovery.boot/boot.efi Using reloc block: no, hibernate wake: no Using Safe Mode ERROR!!! Recovery image verification failed with status [0x8000000000000000e] Boot failed, sleeping for 10 seconds before exiting...
  14. Either I am not understanding Your replies or You didnt understood my question. I can see recovery HD partition from the Clover menu. When I try to boot into that recovery HD partition I cant due to some error. Screen just becomes garbled with text. I assumed that this happened because wrong kexts are loaded into the system from the recovery partition. The question is, how to change the kexts that are loaded when one is booting from the recovery partition?
  15. How can I access the recovery partition to modify the kexts?
