  1. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    OK, I noticed that I must have done something wrong and followed your guide once more and came up until the point of installing the update 10.6.5. But after the restart I cannot use either mouse nor keyboard. Also it does not recognize my USB-drive which means that the update must have some disabled the USB kext. I also read something like he is not able to load the kext "com.apple...family...USB" and something like "link failed". Is there a way to solve this problem, maybe using another mac to access the 10.6 partition and adding a kext?
  2. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    OK, I got a little further. It installs without a problem, but I am not able to start the PC just shuts down. I am not able to provide a picture because as soon as the new text is written the computer shuts down. Is there a command which stops the pc from shuting down, so I can mac a picture of the panic? I am able to boot with the boot cd, what should I do to start without it?
  3. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    I don't think that this could be the problem as I do NOT use any IDE drives and I already use only sata drives in AHCI mode. it would be better if I just write my settings: Port 0: SSD (AHCI) - (controlled by AMD SB850) <-- Windows Port 1: SSD (AHCI) - (controlled by AMD SB850) <-- Mac OS X Port 2: HDD (AHCI) - (controlled by AMD SB850) Port 3: HDD (AHCI) - (controlled by AMD SB850) Port 4: HDD (AHCI) - (controlled by AMD SB850) Port 7: DVDRW (IDE-mode) - (controlled by Gigabyte SATA2) Maybe there is another explanation?
  4. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    Done, I think it's the same problem:
  5. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    Sorry, I knew I forgot something, here you go! KP with nawcom boot cd:
  6. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    Hello, I fixed the root device error, using the flash-drive method, but now I'm stuck at a grey screen with the spinning beach-ball. I also tried the nawcom boot cd, with it I come as far as the installation, but when the installation is running a few minutes I get a kernel panic (picture). I hope someone can help me. Again here my system: AMD Phenom II X6 @ 3,5GHz Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H Corsair 8GB RAM DDR3 Geforce GTX 460 1 SSD 120GB - OCZ (AHCI) 1 DVD-RW - SATA Thanks in advance flash.killer
  7. AMD and Retail Snow Leopard 10.6.5 --> 10.6.8 Final[GUIDE]

    Hello, I am currently trying to install Mac OS X in my system, but I get the "Still waiting for root device"-error. I now it can have many different causes, but I hope you can help here my system: AMD Phenom II X6 @ 3,5GHz Gigabyte GA-890GPA-UD3H Corsair 8GB RAM DDR3 Geforce GTX 460 1 SSD 120GB - OCZ (AHCI) 1 DVD-RW - SATA I also made a picture of the screen where it stops: http://dznr.org/2vtd I used BootCD 1.6 and an original Mac OS X 10.6.3 Retail. I hope you can guide me the right way and tell me why it's not working. flash.killer
  8. Sleep and then Wake after 1 second

    Some news I solved the problem, but gained another one, this time its the problem that he went to sleep, but doesn't wake up anymore. I read that this is a pretty common problem, but I would appreciate some advice were I could find solutions to this problem, because the ways I've tried did not seem to work. As for the ones with the problem mac waking up again shortly after going to sleep, well it's something I wouldn't expect, I just removed some of the kext which did seem that I don't need them, here's a list (be warned some of you might need them): AHCIPortInjector AppleRTC PlatformUUID SleepEnabler (read end of post) I hope someone can post some links where I could find a solution. EDIT: I just tried to put in the SleepEnabler in the Extra folder and what do I see this kext causes the problem of instant wake up.
  9. Sleep and then Wake after 1 second

    Thanks for the answer, but I thought of this as well and search in the BIOS but could not find such an entry. So I guess that only works for certain mainboards.
  10. Sleep and then Wake after 1 second

    Well, I updated my signature with my specs. And as for what I have tried, I am new to OSx86 so I don't know how I should even approach the problem I search google and also some forums, but I only found 2 people how have the same problem. As for the page you posted, I don't think this would solve my problem as stated in the first post: "see the "Errata" property of "AppleUSBUHCI" devices in IORegistryExplorer: if it is 0x0, the driver has probably not recognized the device" But I checked this and the don't have a 0x0, so it's not the same problem. I hope someone know a way to figure out the problem.
  11. Hello, I currently have the problem that I am not able to go to sleep in my Sl (both 64 and 32). If I want to go to sleep he spins down all the HDD but after about 1 second he starts up again. I have installed both the NullCPUPowerManagement.kext and the SleepEnabler.kext. I hope someone can help me. Thanks in advance flash.killer
  12. Linksys WMP300N rev2 (atheros) SL ?

    Yeah, I know that it works in 32-bit, but I'd prefer 64-bit. It's the only thing that doesn't work in 64.
  13. Recommended WLAN-Card for SL

    Hello, I would like to know which WLAN-card would be usable with the new Snow Leopard. If possible I would prefer a "draft 802.11n"-card. Thanks in advance flashkiller
  14. P5Q & 10.6.1 Retail

    Hello, I now got my Snow Leo to work, but Mac does not show my 2 DVD-Drives (they are connected using IDE), which kext do I need to get them to work? Thanks in advance flashkiller
  15. Linksys WMP300N rev2 (atheros) SL ?

    I have the same card and would also be interested in a solution. Some infos to the card itself: It show "pci168c,23" in the IORegistryExplorer And the chipset is a "Atheros 5416". I also tried to add the card using IO80211Family.kext and editing AirPortAtheros.kext Info.plist. But the file already contained the pci168c,23. I hope someone will find out a solution. It's the only thing that doesn't work in my Hackintosh.
