  1. In My first post, I used the ordinary DSDT V5, not the DSDT coprocessor. Thats why I had the problem. I used Kill a Watt and here are my results when XPS 13 is idle. DSDT V4 Co Processor: 66 watts DSDT V5 Co Processor: 61 watts
  2. I updated to DSDT-coprocessor v5 with nvidia's cuda driver and it does work. Just for test I also rolled back to original GeForce.kext, and it did work as well. So I am keeping the original and your DSDT-Coprocessor V5. Mine has 9500m, not sure why it needs the coprocessor file. But probably you might need to update the first post with this info. Thanks for your efforts on this....... Attached is the IOREG. Let me know if you need any more info. ioreg.txt
  3. bcc9: I used your DSDT-coprocessor v4 and update the GeForce.kext to the latest driver and now everything works well. My 4 days of nightmare are now end. Thanks very much bcc9.
  4. Ok. I reformatted the disk and started from Scratch with 10.8.2 this time. I am using DSDT-alt.aml as your script that its the right one. I am using the latest version of chameleon 2069. Now with DSDT, org.chameleon..., smbios.plist in place, the system stops at: It hangs after NTFS Volume Name , version 3.1 Sandbox: sandbox(92) deny match-lookup com.apple.coresymonicationd Now I tried with DSDT=Null, then it goes beyond NTFS point and then all the text on the screen disapper and the screen turns black(Just looks like I am the point where I am about to get the GUI, but never does). Did any one test DSDT-alt.aml ? I again booted with -v and this time got the kernel Panic this time: com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.3.5) dependency: com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.7.2) com.apple.GeForce(8.8) dependency com.apple.NVDAResman(8.0.0) dependency com.apple.iokit.IONDRVSupport(2.3.5) dependency com.apple.iokit.IOPCIFamily(2.7.2) dependency com.apple.iokit.IOGraphicsFamily(2.3.5) PS: I am able to go to safe mode with GUI.
  5. Hello bcc9, I have updated from 10.7.3 to 10.7.5 on my Dell 1340 9500m. After the update, i also upgraded Chamaleon to latest build 2064, changed DSDT to v5 and used new smbios & org.cham.plist v4 files. Now I am not able to boot. It hangs after NTFS Volume Name , version 3.1. However, I am able to boot into Safe Mode properly and created the ioreg file. kernel log shows the following: DSMOS has arrived NVDA: : rmStart failed NVDA, Display-B: Not Usable nspace-handler-set-snapshot-time: 1355351754 Virtual bool IOHIDEventSystemUserClient::initWithTask(task*, void*, UInt32): Client task not preiveged to open IOHIDSystem for memory maping Just as a test, i revereted back to old DSDT.aml and org.chameleon.plist and it hangs at "Still waiting for root device". Please let me know what information I can provide to get advise. THanks.. ioreg.txt
  6. I turned it on with the hotkey but it turn's off again immediately. I had to restart the machine to bring it back.
  7. Error was something like "Unknown symbol _mh_execute_header".. I did not try the mDNSResponder fix as my issue is different where the wireless does not turn on. Even if i try to turn on, it wont and the wifi light is off. Next time when i get the issue, I will try the fix.
  8. I have tried to execute the dsdt-check.pl but were getting errors in Snow Leopard. So copied the DSDT.aml. I have booted to LION using DSDT=NO. I then execute the pl script and it asked me to use the alternate one. I staged it and system booted fine this time... Thanks bcc9,. Some questions: 1. I staged the 9400m_gstate_inject.kext.zip in /S/L/E, but could not find it under loaded kexts. Do i need to do anything additional to load it up ? 2. Some times the wireless does not turn on. Even if i manually turn on, it wont. I have to completley shutdown and reboot to make it work. 3. Cosmetic issue: Everytime i boot, i get the verbose screen. How do i disable it to show the apple boot screen.
  9. I have created successfully the USB Lion DIsc and had it installed over the existing Snow Leopard (Dual boot with win 7). I have followed the instructions and made sure the following: on the new Lion Install : 1. fakesmc, VoodooPS2Controller in /Extra/Extensions 2. smbios.plist, org.chameleon.Boot.plist and DSDT.aml to /Extra 3. Chameleon r1649 installed on the Lion Install Drive I am able to select the Lion Install from Chameleon and tried to boot it. I have a issue now where after "NTFS Volume name WIN7, Version 3.1", system just hangs. However there is hard disk activity. So i have waited an hour but did not make any progress. I have tried boot options -v, -x, DSDT=NO, -f. but system still hangs. Plz advise.

  11. You are the man.. I have removed the NullCPUPM.kext and generated the kextcache. Now sleep works...Thanks bcc9..
  12. Hmmn..Finally was able to install SL using Universal 3.6. The problem was due to the additional recovery and system partitions. I got rid of all those extra partitions and now only have 2 partitions for WIN7 & MACOS SL. I applied all the kexts & fixes listed by bcc9... Many thanks... My sleep function does not work properly. It goes to sleep but does not wake up.. Is this a known problem ? Any fixes ?
