  1. I have a Gateway P-7805U laptop running OS X 10.5.6 retail and works well but system profiler, about this mac, and my graphics info are wrong. I'm using SMBIOSResolver and NVDarwin and I don't have very good understanding on how to edit them to be correct. I'm also using PCEFI V8. If someone could tell me how to hardcode this in that would be great. I also have CPU-Z and GPU-Z dumps if you want to edit it for me but I rather do it my self. Thanks.
  2. This is my collection 10.4.6 - My 1st one. 10.4.8 - JaS This one I still use on older computers. 10.5.1 - iATKOS 1.0i Never used much. 10.5.1 - iATKOS 1.0R2 Never used this much ether. 10.5.2 - Kalyway Worked really good. 10.5.2 - Leo4All Worked OK but annoyed by verbose mode. 10.5.4 - iATKOS 4i Worked really good after I figured out to use single user mode to install Darwin EFI. 10.5.4 - iDeneb 1.0 One of the preinstalled updates was messed up and didn't let me install Slick Plug ins. 10.5.0 - Retail Store bought Leopard thanks to BOOT-132 I'm done with hacked DVDs and all official!
  3. I got it to work by using the iATKOS 4i DVD to install the Darwin EFI in single user mode by using the command "darwin" after installing the retail copy of leopard. Now everything works including dual boot using boot.gpt in BCDEdit.
  4. I'm trying to dual boot Vista and the Retail OS X Leopard on two different hard drives. I have OS X Leopard all up and working with GUID (I wanted MBR but setup would not let me) and Vista with MBR both on different hard drives. They both boot fine but everything I try I can't get the Vista boot loader to boot OS X Leopard on GUID. In the past only MBR has worked. On OS X Leopard I have Chameleon and that works fine when not trying to boot with Vista like in the BIOS. I tried using chain0 but thats for MBR and I used boot0, boot0.gpt, and boot0.efi and none of them work. When I used MBR on an other install chain0 worked great. If someone could help me that would be great. Thanks

I remade the F.2C BIOS but added AR5BXB6 vendor and sub ids to the white list and left it the F9 hex alone. Can you take a look at this screen shot to see if everything is up to par? The screen shot is http://awesomeoreviews.com/OTHER/BIOSCOD4_ADD.jpg and the notepad file shows the AR5BXB6 ids. The remade BIOS is http://awesomeoreviews.com/OTHER/30BBF2C-HACKED-NWL.zip Thanks for all your help I really appreciate it.

For adding the card to the whitelist and doing the sleep trick I would change the vendor info in the BIOSCOD4.ROM where the E414 is in hex. Correct me if I'm wrong. Could someone give me a link to a tutorial to do this. Thanks
  8. HP DV9200 Whitelist Help

Ok I bought a new wifi card on ebay and its a AR5BXB6 mini pci express card. I have not received it yet but I was looking around and there seems to be a whitelist in my bios that will not allow me to use it without hacking it. I found that people on this forum have made pre hacked ones that are F.16 and F.27 bios but I want to use the latest bios F.2C found at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwar...4947&dlc=en I did what people said on other threads with the F9 hex and changed it to F8 in the BIOSCOD4.ROM file and I did all that. Thats not what Im asking for. I want to know if the modified bios I made is going to brick my computer. The bios I made is http://awesomeoreviews.com/OTHER/30BBF2C-HACKED.zip by the way. Here is a screen shot of what I did to the BIOSCOD4.ROM file http://awesomeoreviews.com/OTHER/BIOSCOD4.jpg Also I have herd that I can use the Phoenix Crisis Disk in case of a brick. I have the files but I don't have a floppy drive nor dose anyone I know so could I use a CD or USB flash drive instead? Thanks

I see what you saying. I looked though all of the BIOSCOD roms and BIOSCOD4.ROM was the only one that had the E414 hex in it and before it had the F9 hex. I have a photo of what I'm seeing in the attachment. I have already changed the F9 to F8 though.

Can you explain the lock in later bios to me? I don't want to brick my laptop for something that could be avoided. Also since my laptop dose not have a floppy drive how could I use a recovery floppy to fix if I bricked it?

Well I did some work on the latest BIOS for the dv9200 intel laptop the F.2C BIOS. I followed what people said on this thread and made this patched file at the bottom. I used Phoenix Bios Editor to extract and used HexIt to change the F9 stc to F8 clc in BIOSCOD4.rom and I also checked it in HexWorkshop 5 and saw that at offset 0x1505 the hex was changed from F9 to F8. Then I rebuilt it in Phoenix bios editor. Unfortunately my laptop (a dv9200 CTO) is being used by my friend and he wont be back until this Sunday. If anyone wants to try this out feel free. If the whitelist is gone and everything else works tell me because I plan on using this on my laptop when it gets back. Thanks Here is the file I made. http://awesomeoreviews.com/OTHER/30BBF2C-HACKED.zip

I just bought a wifi card on ebay a few days ago and Im afraid that its will not be on the whitelist. Its a AR5BXB6 card and I have a dv9200 CTO laptop. Im currently at the latest official bios F.2C and you can download it at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwar...product=3204947 If it wouldn't be a problem could someone mod this bios to allow any wifi card? Thanks
