  1. Problems with the Inateck card, when you sleep and wake up the computer it will disconnect the drive. And it also interferes with Bluetooth devices.
  2. I would suggest to replace the thermal paste and then do a pram reset.

Mac Mini or iMac? Help, Please.

Hello, You would be fine with a Mac Mini with Core i5. You can stream 1080p, however I am not sure of the graphic/web design work. Are you going to use Adobe Suites. If yes, then you should better get an iMac with Nvidia. My friend actually have a 2012 Core i5 Mac Mini, use it for Plex streaming and for editing family movies. It works great, I have added 1 ssd and 1 additional HDD inside for storage for him. It is connected to a 42" monitor (living room setup) and it works fine for Garageband as well. http://www.ifixit.com/Guide/Installing+Mac+Mini+Late+2012+Dual+Hard+Drive+Kit/11713
  4. Hello, Try this. 1. Shut down your computer 2. Change the USB port, connect it to another USB port 3. Make sure you have only 1 HDD drive and the USB Stick 4. Boot and see how it goes Also, please post your system spec and OS (if any)
  5. Thanks Fabio..This still works I just did an upgrade, and now I am using SSD and thing looks good so far. I am still on ML, need MAC to be stable. ML is good so far, less updates and very solid. I also have SL also on an old drive but SL has no support for GTX 580. Now looking forward to add 1 more SSD
  6. Sorry, I have no idea. Personally I have never experienced that. mine looks ok with 10.8.3 Hmmm....I used Magnetic Lasso and saw a lite jump on CPU processing power, but nothing to be alarmed at. Are you sure your OC is stable?
  7. hugeschnauzer, I think you have it is loaded already, just check your AppleACPIPlatform.kext and IOACPIFamily.kext version, that is why it was KP-nicking.
  8. Hello hugeschnauzer, Yes use the DSDT that I have sent, however even if you add P and C states based on you OC cpu frequency, I do not think it will increase your geek bench. You can either keep your old DSDT and roll back to old ACPI.kext or new DSDT with new ACPI.kext. Download an app called SMC Monitor, you can see your P and C states from there, you will then need to add to your DSDT. Check this threat http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/181631-dsdt-vanilla-speedstep-generic-scope-pr/
  9. Hi hugeschnauzer, Yes, you are right. However our CPU i7 9xx has only 2 SS tables. MAC OS is little funny when it come to this function as it is controlled by Energy Saver from System Preference as well. You need to also adjust P and C states accordingly as you have OC your CPU. ML reads the default clock of your cpu, it will ignore your smbios CPU clock. So keep your default cpu clock and increase BCLK if you want to OC, so that ML can have native turbo ratios 111122 with i7 930. I get around 19251 on Geekbench, not too bad for a 4-year old motherboard:) http://tinypic.com/v...pic=2u8hr8k&s=6 Good Question; I have tried couple of them; namely Asmedia, NEC and Marvell. I have concluded that ML does not like third parties USB 3.0. However Asmedia will work fine under Lion (same kext). Maybe it is DSDT related , maybe someone from this thread can point us to the right direction:)
  10. Hello hugeschnauzer, Please try the attached file, Fabio did some changes a while ago, keep new ACPI.kext, just replace DSDT. P6T_Deluxe_i7_930.zip
  11. I think you better use Fabio`s script to create a USB ML Install as it has P6T motherboards DSDT ready to go. Pandora is really interesting but may need tweaking to get it to work with Asus P6T. But Pandora is still AWESOME...big up for the guys that worked on it!
  12. hugeschnauzer - what mobo and cpu are you using? Are you on ML?
  13. Hello, I`ve been wondering, are there any hack-users in Tokyo? I would like to keep in touch, discuss kexts, DSDT, etc....please PM me
