  1. DSDT Auto-Patcher it's dead atm but i'ld like to understand if, using DSDT editor and patcher, asrock fatal1ty professional gen 3 it's fully supported and if it's nedeed to use SpeedStepper&co. (http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=258611) to enable p-states or if it's natively supported on this mob (generate p-states = yes it's sufficient?). Thanks in advance
  2. Hi, I'm interested too 'bout ASRock's stuffs. I'ld like to buy a fatal1ty z68 professional gen3... It's your board fully working at last?? (USB 3, sata3, lan, onboard gpu, ecc) I wish it is! Thanks in advance D.
  3. Hhi all. Mald, thanks for your good guide. I was thinking about an hw upgrade but, before, I would understand if last hw is already supported. I'ld like to buy a i7 2600k, a mob z68(x or xp) and 2 SLI/CFX gpus. Is this kind of hw all supported for OSx? Can i get energy managment working on it (are P/C-States working now)?? If not, could it damage my system or do I just need to manage my fans manually? Thanks in advance. D. EDIT: Ok. I found the DSDT Auto-Patcher's supported mob page (Link)
  4. Gigabyte Z68X-UD7 Build FAILURE! Please HELP!

  6. [How To] 5.1 Surround Sound

Hi amerto01 Did you give a look at this post (Link)? I solved here. For Lion setup, follow 10.6.8 instructions Let us know Cheers p.s i sugest you to add more infos about your system and your setting. that helps to find the answers
  7. OMG I've totally forgotten that. You're right. All was working already!!!! Excuse me for the time you've lost thinkin abut it. Cheers
  8. Thank you for all the support you gave me during this yrs. It's a pleasure to reply. I'm having some troubles with my cpu, it's overheating, and i need to change the fan. I wish to solve it tomorrow. As I'll be able to start the pc, i'll give a try and will report back to you. For the moment... thanks again! Dan ________________________________________________________________________ EDIT: Hi again. I deleted the files from /Library/Preferences/Audio/ and then, when i start the reboot process, com.apple.audio.DeviceSettings.plist spawns immediatly. com.apple.audio.SystemSettings.plist spawned just after reboot. Nothing changed. After the boot, i made the aggregate device and the combined device. I tested them once a time but noway. In aggregate device (first choice when i create a new device) i can set 5.1 and he used immediatly the same channels i assigned before files deletion (is there a way of cache i got to delete too?) But when i strike volume keyb's keys: grey volume sign and no sound. If i use combined device, i can't select 5.1 on multiple channel Screenshot here: Thanks for every new idea you ca give me ) P.s. i solved my cpu problem with just a bit of new termal paste pheeew
  9. Here's what I did (Link) Wish could help. Soon
  10. @Tmong, i forgotten to edit the post... It's a fresh install on a blank disk. ihave 10.5 OS on another hd. I made the screen while testing with the old audio midi setup.app from Leopard disk (I got 1 hd with leopard, 1 with xp and 1 with Lion). In that screen i was testing the audio midi setup.app from leopard's disk. But i did all tests with Lion's audio midi setup first Cheers
  11. [How To] 5.1 Surround Sound

Hi all. I have my Lion working as posted here. I didn't use kextcache flag atm, so I got the audio kexts (ALC885_889a.kext ) in ChammyVolume/E/E and i patched applehda.kext in /S/L/E Once it was working, under MIDI setup, I made the aggregate device for using 5.1 as i did on SL. When i use configure speakers, every single speakers works when I set the right channel. All working good for me!! Thank you for the usefull how to!! Cheers, D P.s at first i thought something wasn't working for the grey sign appearing when i strike the keyb's volume keys. After some asking around, I remembered that's normal. I've been stupid because i didn't try at all to play some audio and that stucked me for a pair of days. EDIT 2: All solved. I've forgotten that was normal!!!! Using aggregate device the volume icon, when you use keyboard's volume control keys, it's always greyed. When I play music or something, all works fine! I leave the post for other users who could have the same "problem". Cya
  12. Noway. I can't fix the aggregate device problem. Tmongkol, any idea on how could I solve my trouble? If I test the single channel, it make the noise. But, if i select aggregate device as default audio device, it dosen't I can't understand if the problem is related to the kexts or to the settings. Do you this is better to place ALC885_889a.kext in /S/L/E ?? EDIT: tryed and the situation is the same Going to ask for help in 5.1 how-to tread too Thanks
  13. Hi tora Did you give a look in first post of this tread? Where it says: Maybe there you can find usefull infos. I dunno 'cause i use analog cables for my 5.1 Whis this'll help you Cya @alucard_xs: try downloading applehda.kext from first page of this tread. Patch it as instructed in ALC885_889a.kext readme file Place both in your /S/L/E delete kext cache, fix permissions and reboot your system Let us know if does it works. Cya
  14. All info about Lion on P45-DS3L

Hi all again. Lio's working fine on my ep45c-ds3r. All looks like ok atm. The only problem i see is that 4 channels're working on my 5.1 (but i'm sure this'll be solved and i'll update infos here), sub and central chans are not working atm. I followed this guide to prepare the lion setup disk: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=262015 and the blackosx's one for Snow Leopard for the boot load on disks: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...topic=%20180954 On my usb setup disk i had only few kext: fakesmc.kext IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext JMicronATA.kext NullCPUPowerManagement.kext I dunno if all this were needed but worked. I loaded the boot on disk, the dsdt.aml, the org.chameleon.Boot.plist and the SMBIOS.plist When i have made the final boot partition (the one on s-ata disk, not usb removable one for lion installation), after os installation was complete and i booted into Lion, i used this kext in chameon volume (cham volume/E/E): (Same used on usb setup disk) fakesmc.kext IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext JMicronATA.kext NullCPUPowerManagement.kext + RealtekR1000SL.kext to activate eth boards ALC885_889a.kext for audio (applehda.kext in /S/L/E patched with layout885.xml + Platforms.xml http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...p;#entry1722965 ) and as before, I loaded the boot on disk, the dsdt.aml, the org.chameleon.Boot.plist and the SMBIOS.plist Wish this infos could be helpful for others coming. I'll update as soon as all will be fine configured and working. Thanks all for help D.
  15. Good morning tmongkol (9.30 in Ita) and thank you. I prepared the usb install media yesterday, but when i went to install i had an error related to some kext. I used simply the /E/E kexts that i had on SL. I think i need to remove someone from that directory (on openhaltrestart and sleepenabler i had the error, so i'll delete that two at least). Was so late yesterday night so i couldn't check that. I'll do asap. I have new chameleon and i compiled my new org.chameleon.Boot,plist starting from the old file and adding some stuffs (p-states, c-states, ecc). So if i use kextcaching i got to put all the kext in S/L/E? I like to keep modified kext in cham parts. You suggest use new cache way instead? Thank you for your appreciated help. I'll let you know as i'll be at home, this evening, and i'll give another try Sincerely, Dan. EDIT: I have my Lion working as posted here. I didn't use kextcache flag atm, so I got the audio kext in ChammyVolume/E/E and i added xml files to applehda.kext in /S/L/E Once it was working, under MIDI setup, I made the aggregate device for using 5.1 as on SL. When i use configure speakers, every single speakers works with right channel assigned. But if I select aggregate device as default output device, it doesn't work. As if audio device was not installed or something so. Screenshots below Does someone have any idea? Thanks you, i'm really happy P.s. Here the devices i'm using: Here the channels i assigned to the speakers (everyone works here making noise when I click on it): Here what happens if I use aggregate device as default output device (in the screen there's the old midi setup application, leopard's one, but the same happen with the lion's one):
