  1. can i install snow leopard on my PC help!

Short answer, yes. Intel Core 2 Duo will allow a native install. Would hunt down a good distro and try it. Just be aware that you will need a spare partition on you hard drive, or a spare drive.
  2. Installing on AMD PC

Tried booting with nawcoms bootcd the using the flags: GraphicsEnabler=No -force64 -v? Thats how I got mine to boot. Could also try the link below http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/275100-guide-install-1068-on-amd-getting-around-all-errors-pci-configuration/ It's not the guide I used, I can't find that anymore, but its very close. Id also restore the *.dmg image to a thumb drive or external HDD. works alot faster and generally really well. If that doesn't work, there are plenty of other guides around. Just gotta look for them. Take your time and don't rush it. It took me months to get a solid stable system up and going. And boot loaders can mess up plenty of hours of work, so pick one that others have used, and resist the urge to update it. It'll cause a bootable system not to work anymore. Good luck!

  4. [AMD] 10.7.3 Guide - Experimental Only

I'm the same with that. Specs below. Followed method 2. Worked like a charm. Only had to install the nvidia drivers, since native support didn't work for me. Upgrade went ok. I'm currently using the the kernel from AnV with the 32bit finder. Confirmed for: AMD Phenom™ II X6 1055T OCed to 3.85ghz Asus M4A89TD Pro/USB3 - Audio worked with Voodoo 2.7.61 i think? 4 x 2 Gig G.Skill ram 4 x 1 TB WD Black Sata 3 ASUS GTX570 1.5gig ASUS PCI-N13 wireless (ralink RT2860 - used leopard driver, still worked) Devout - Thanks for the guide, its was really easy to follow. I've even tried the 3 method for fun, had little trouble with virtual box. still working on it.
  5. OS X on Phenom II X6

Hey, I have almost the same setup. I do get that error during boot, however, my machine ignores it and continues to load. When i get a chance I will load my plist files up for you to look at, see if there is anything in there that you do or don't have that mat cause this error. I did follow guide below when installing Snow. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/269841-install-snow-leopard-on-any-pc-for-anybody-includes-windows-dual-boot/ Install the update, force quit when finished and install the kernel. I have had the problem again recently, but I cant remember how I fixed. When I get my brain in gear I'll put it up.
  6. AMD FX 8150

You'll probabyly find that there currently is no support for that model of CPU. I know there people working on it for Lion, but I don't think anyone if looking at it for Snow. Not 100%, but I pretty positive thats correct.
  7. I actually got it to work, today. I downloaded it again from http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1399 and it work straight away.
  8. I got the same problem over here. I have followed an AMD install process point by point. Come time to update, whether it be from 10.6.0 right up to 10.6.4, I get the same error. I have got the comboupdte from the apple site. I've tried under safe mode, bootcd, under nearly every boot flag I can think of. Still the same error. I've even been looking through most of OSX.net and Insanelymac and it doesn't seem if there's been many cases of this. Anyone got an Idea, cause I'm out.
  9. AMD Lion Kernel

I have a AMD box and I'm willing to break it. Share your work and we'll get this working together!!!!!!
