  1. Is there any way to remove the text in the upper left corner of the boot loader GUI? If yes, this would be really awesome.

    Chameleon 2.0RC1 is out!

@elitee: Thanks for your answer! But I still have the other "problem". Does CD recognition not work at the moment or is it just me?

    Chameleon 2.0RC1 is out!

How can I get my inserted CDROM recognized by the boot loader? What is that "cdboot" file in i386 folder?

    AnV XNU Kernel V1.4

I want to put the kernel on my EFI partition, that I have a vanilla root. What do I have to add to my Boot.plist on my EFI partition that it boots the kernel from there but then uses my OS X harddisk to boot further. Let's say my non vanilla kernel is called "mach_kernel.xnu"... I tried to add "(0,0)/mach_kernel.xnu boot-uuid=XXXXXX..." and changed "mach_kernel" to "mach_kernel.xnu" in my Boot.plist. When I boot I always get a kernel panic that says kernel not found... What boot uuid do I have to insert into Boot.plist? The one of my EFI partition or of my OS X Install?

    AnV XNU Kernel V1.4

The CPU I use is a C2D E8400. When I set "MacBookPro5,1" as parameter, it does get recognized as "MacBook Pro" in Geekbench. I haven't tried any iMac parameters yet, but by now "MacPro3,1" is the only parameter that doesn't work for me so far. This is the AppleSMBIOS.kext file I use... AppleSMBIOS.kext.zip

    AnV XNU Kernel V1.4

I already use your ANV SMBIOS for Mac Pro! I added "-nomacmodeloverride" to my Boot.plist and in System Profiler it says "MacPro3,1", but Geekbench still recognizes it as Hackintosh. I don't get why it works with "MacPro2,1". Do you know from which parameters Geekbench is getting its information about the mac model? Here is a picture of what my sys profiler looks like...

    AnV XNU Kernel V1.4

Thanks, your new kernel works fine for me! I still got the only issue that when I set model override to "MacPro3,1", Geekbench recognizes my machine as Hackintosh. When I set it to "MacPro2,1" it works perfectly and is recognized as Mac Pro.
  8. If you own a 8XXX GT, u also need a disabler for AppleUpstreamUserclient.kext to get rid of the mouse lag.
  9. I almost got a 100% Retail Install of OS X 10.5.6. The only thing that I use is voodoo kernel 9.6.0 which is placed in root of my OS X Install. I don't get how do place the kernel on my EFI partition and change my boot.plist so that it boots my OS X with that kernel. In boot.plist, do I have to add the boot uuid of my EFI partition or my OS X Install? Because If I do so, OS X won't even start and says "Can't find kernel".
  10. @flock44: Thanks for your reply: I found another solution, too. I just added <key>Timeout</key> <string>3</string> and my PC is now booting right to my desktop. @all: Could someone please create a "Disabler.kext" file or me that disables "AppleIntelCPUManagement.kext", "UptreamUserClient.kext" and the AppleHPET.kext or explain me how to do it myself. Everything is working for me now except FireWire! Another thing that is bothering me, is the missing Apple Boot Logo. I know that munky wrote that he had removed it due to space problems. Isn't there any possibility to add some code to the "boot" file so that the logo is loaded externally. So that we could just put an image file on our EFI partition that is being loaded by the boot loader. I know Chameleon 2 is coming out really soon, but it would be nice to have the boot logo back.
  11. Thanks for your guide munky! Is there any way to make my OS X boot automatically without hitting ENTER at the command prompt?

    Battlefield 2 **Cider** On-line play?

I took the screenshot when I was running v4. I will try to delete those folders and reply if it works or not. EDIT: When I delete the BF2 Preferences Folder in MacHD/Users/XXX/Library/Preferences the game won't even start anymore. The splash screen appears but after a few seconds the game quits without showing any message. When I copy the folder back to this directory the game would start fine again.

    Battlefield 2 **Cider** On-line play?

Thanks for your effort. I tried using NVInject but it didn't get any better. I still have those graphic problems. They are even worse than with Modern Combat v2 - which has worked best for me so far. Here is a screenshot of what my problem looks like. Another thing is, that I get an ingame message that I should update my graphic card driver in order to run the game correctly.

    Battlefield 2 **Cider** On-line play?

Thanks - I got BF2 working on my Hackintosh but I have lots of texture problems. It seems like the ground is transparent. All other textures work great. Another point - I own the german version of BF2, so that's probably why there aren't any localized strings throughout the whole game! Do you have an solution for what I could do or modify in order to have german or english language strings in the game? EDIT: OK, I got that language problem solved and the graphics problem partially. I enabled 2xAA and now all textures work. The only problem that I have now, is that there are black spots on the ground flashing all the time. Any fix for that?
