  3. app to create photostrip effect?

hey all, i was thinking about how awesome photobooth is on the imac but then i thought it should have a feature to create a pic that looks like a photostrip you'd get from a real photobooth. anyone know if there are any apps out there that make it simple to create this effect? Thanks, Cam

  5. apparently osx isn't recognizing my windows partition on the desktop so i'm not able to access it and install kernels that way. anyone know how to fix this?
  6. from vmware to native

alright, the only drives i am seeing on the right is my drive that says osx that has my apps and extensions and everything and then my cdrom. why am i not seeing the xp partition? anyone know how to turn it back on? this is all in vmware btw maybe i should add that i'm booting in vmware from the cd. should this not be happening? should it detect a hard drive after my install and I not have to use a cd?
  7. from vmware to native

c'mon, someone's gotta know! I'm so close here!
  8. from vmware to native

i'm following a guide that says this: 1)Follow this guide http://forum.osx86project.org/index.php?sh...197&hl=imporved to keep from getting the "still waiting for root device..." The easy way of doing this is to switch out of VMware, ctrl-alt, and then download the kext file to your xp partition. You should see any other partition on your computer in VMware on your OSX desktop. Open the xp partition, in OSX, and copy the kext onto the OSX desktop. Open it and then move the kext into the Extensions folder. Then navigate to the IOATAFamily kext and delete the appropiate ones by right clicking them. It will ask you to authenticate and do so. Then open the terminal and run the commands chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/AppleOnBoardPCATA.kext chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/AppleOnBoardPCATA.kext (I'm changing this from his original guide because he left out the "PC" in AppleOnboardPCATA.kext) can someone please explain to me exactly how to open the xp partition in OSX because I'm kind've clueless on it. Also, is downloading to the partition the C drive? That's all I have for now, but I'm sure I will have more questions later.
  9. Installed, but will not boot...

that symbol means still waiting for root device. try booting with the commands -v -x and then report the errors that show up
  10. still waiting for root device error
