  2. [GUIDE] Retail Snow Leopard Install on eeepc 901

Thank you very much mk500. My asus 901 is now running Snow Leopard, and it is like you said even better than Leopard. Wild horses could not make me go back. A few pointers (more for me than the other hackintosch guys) NEVER EVER unzip MAC stuf using a windows machine this costed me hours of frustration. And if you copy the Extra folder just do it in commandline because dragging in OSX made me miss some crucial Extra files. Also costing me hours. All and all a perfect exercise and installing snow leopard on an eeepc made fun . Editing the dsdt.amsl is worth doing (I have now the automatic screen brightness and the power button works) You could add the powerbutton fix it is just a simple edit change _HID to _CID Device (PWRB) { Name (_HID, EisaId ("PNP0C0C")) ---> Name (_CID, EisaId ("PNP0C0C")) Name (_UID, 0xAA) Name (_STA, 0x0B) } thanx pentiumpc for this one.
