  1. Hi everyone! I'm experiencing a KP early in the boot process. After AppleACPICPU is loaded, the system locks up. The kext in the backtrace is: com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform I'm running an IONITX-F-E, the kexts folder from post 795, DSDT package from .zip 01, chameleon 2064. Did I miss a patch? I had a great system running at 10.6.8, and now I'm kicking myself for not leaving it be. Thanks for all the great work done on this little board thus far!
  2. To anyone still using and abusing this board, here is a very dense post for 10.6x, 10.7x, and 10.8x. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/163938-guidestudio-zotac-geforce-9300-wifi-ddr2-and-ddr3-snow-ml/page__st__780
  3. Hi guys! I'm trying to get 10.8.2 up and running on my old Ion board, and can't seem to get the video card and software to shake hands and be friends. The gfx chip is the 9400m, the CPU is atom330. My setup for 10.6.8 worked really well, and I think this one will as well, once the gfx issues get sorted out. The problem: system will load up to IOBluetoothHCIController [start] [completed]. From there it hangs. From a boot standpoint, this is when the graphic heavy lifting kicks in/frame buffer is initialized. Attempted fixes: boot with -x, boot w graphicsenabler=yes/no, NVEnabler in E/E, unloading and loading back NVDA kexts one at a time to see if any are rotten. I think the solution requires patching the 9400m-specific NVDA kexts for 64bit, but I'm too noob for that. Any suggestions or insights would be immensely helpful!!
  4. Hi all - happy to announce I've got wake on lan running, and it was reeeeaaaally easy. NOOBTASTIC. I'm using the following: -IONITX-F-E board -4 gb ram -Bios settings from Polvorito (see post 238 for info) -Zip package from Alexylee -Sleep Enabler 10.6.8 There is a setting in the BIOS under Advanced/APM Resume Event Configuration.. change "RESUME ON LAN (MAC)" to 'Enabled'. Boot the computer. When your mac is up and running go to System Preferences. Click 'Energy Saver'. Check the box that says 'Wake for Ethernet Access'. E A S Y. No .dsdt editing. Sleep, restart, and sound still working in harmony. From here you can either open the appropriate ports for your intended uses (this article helps noobs like me: http://lifehacker.com/5797582/how-to-turn-your-computer-into-the-ultimate-remote-access-media-server), or download software that does it for you. After configuring VPN, VLC, and FTP, I decided to just use Slink, as it has great bonjour support, uses ssh-tunneling for fewer open ports, and has a real pretty user interface. No iOS option yet, unfortunately.
  5. For what it's worth, I have a fantastic working F-E board running 10.6.8 using: -Chameleon RC5 -Alexylee's .ZIP package in EE and SLE -SleepEnabler 10.6.8 in SLE. The 2 things I could never previously rectify were sound and sleep working together. With this setup, Sleep works perfectly (a 3rd party fan is installed, and it runs full power before and after sleep), and audio works perfectly out of the headphone jack. I haven't tried HDMI audio yet, as I use a DVI to HDMI cable. This is by far the best setup I've come across after almost a year of tinkering; great work Alexylee. Next challenge - wake on LAN!
  6. Edit 4/4/2011: the Atom kernel for 10.6.7 has been released, just make sure to uninstall voodooHDA before you update, or else it causes kp when you try to boot afterwards and a bunch of other complications. ...so how are you enabling sound at 10.6.7??
  7. Hi all! This thread has been amazing, I've got an IonITX-F-E running 10.6.6, just about everything working, 4gb ram. I'm slowly learning the ins-and-outs of this game, but had some questions and thoughts to share. Everything was working well enough in 10.6.4; I changed the hex value in Polvorito's DSDT to reflect 4gb ram, and had sound, wifi, sleep, restart, shutdown all working. I updated to 10.6.6 and lost sound. I tried various kexts (applehda for 10.6.2, legacyhda, etc). None of them worked. I installed VoodooHDA, which worked like a charm but have since lost sleep. Is this a sleep/wake image issue that can be resolved by editing DSDT? I've noticed 10.6.6 to have better graphic performance than 10.6.4, and would rather not roll back. Many many thanks to all who have made my (and others) server a killer success!
  8. You are a machine! Great work on all this.
