  1. OK, I know. But do you have a guide for installing osx on a 1000H? I'm gonna buy the computer and want to know which is easier to set up. I'm reading people have to switch the wireless card on the 1000HA with a compatible one to run OSX. I don't want that so I'm looking to see which one is more compatible: Choices: 1000H 1000HA <-- leaning towards this since it is cheaper and dont need bluetooth
  2. Hello all, Does anyone know, or perhaps where I can find a guide on installing Mac OS X Leopard on Asus EeePC 1000HA? I seem to find mostly info on the 1000H, but there are considerable differences among the two models, for example, the wireless card on the HA. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
  3. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

Well, I am on the same boat obviously (1024x768), but at least my resolution got a little bit better. I was looking for 1440x900 and at boot I tried "Graphics Mode"="1440x900x32" and now I have: 1152x864 resolution. I suppose the max resolution for me in vesa is 1152x864. Maybe you guys wanna try that too. Here is to waiting for drivers on mobility *cheers*
  4. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

Hi, Two questions: 1) so this method will give you more resolutions I see, but can anyone confirm (Matthew) if this method will also work on Mobility cards? 2) Any chance this will work on Mobility HD 3870x2? (I would really just be happy with 1440x900)
  5. ATI Radeon HD pkg installers 10.5.x & 10.6

Hello all, So, can anyone give a tip on how to make the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 (x2) work OK? All I have is the 1024x768, and on a 17" it's not pretty. I am using iDeneb v1.4 Thank you all
  6. Hello all, So, can anyone give a tip on how to make the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 (x2) work OK? All I have is the 1024x768 resolution, and on a 17" it's not pretty. I am using iDeneb v1.4 Thank you all
  7. Fellas, I am confirming that iDeneb v1.4 is the only distro that will work on the AW M17 as far as I know. Credit to davelewis7 for his dead-on suggestions. Thanks bro. Everything works out of the box, even wireless. Only thing missing? Install ATI HD3870 x2 drivers
  8. Perhaps I can use something other than Leo4All? Could that be the problem? Or is my problem the drivers I am picking to install? Any idea would be welcome guys I have no clue what could even be close to a solution. Edit: OK I have tried iAtkos by doing the same procedure as above on the same 8GB Sandisk. It said "Install Failed" due to an unknown error. At least Leo4ALL allowed me to install but wouldn't boot. Now what? :/
  9. Fellas, I come here because I have been unable to do this on my own even though I have read (I thought enough) all about installing Mac OS X on PCs. In any case, I have an Alienware M17, and it looks like no one on the planet has attempted this as I cannot find ANY information. Here is what I would like (hope) to do: Install Mac OS X Leopard on an ExpressCard SSD. Now, I don't know if this is possible but I tried to install first on a USB drive, it's an 8GB Sandisk to see if OS X would work. I followed the OSx86 instructions here, but after the installation completes I cannot get it to boot into it. Here is my procedure: 1. Insert USB Key (8GB Sandisk) 2. Insert DVD with Mac OS X. I am using Leo4All V3 (instructions linked by OSx86 here) 3. Restart computer from DVD Drive 4. DVD Loads, and Welcome screen, so I pick English Language 5. Go to Disk Utility, Format USB to Mac Journaled 6. Click on Customize. I left the drivers exactly how it came, except that I picked ATI drivers, and Realtek network driver, and also nForce test (because that's what the article says ???) 7. Click Install 8. It Installs no errors on the USB 9. Restart computer from USB 10. Press F8, then -v, then Enter 11. A bunch of words go by... AGP not detected on at least 4 occassions and then nothing happens. 12. I stop waiting and turn off my computer since nothing happens after AGP errors. Computer doesn't seem to be doing anything. Processor light not flickering. So what is the problem guys? I know that if you can't help, I should give up this endevour right now. Of course, I was hoping to have the USB up and running so I can go ahead and safely do the same thing but on a ExpressCard SSD (54) as my computer can boot from this device. In addition I have 2 separate hard drives on my PC, the main HD has Vista and the second HD has Linux. Dual boot no problem. Most important things (I think): Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2.53GHz ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 x2 Any takers please? Any idea at all will help!
