  1. I've just installed iATKOS L2 onto my laptop: Toshiba Qosmio X300-01U (model: pqx32c-01u019) CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo P7350 @ 2GHZ Memory: 4GB DDR2 Ram HDD: 320GB SATA HDD Graphics: nVidia Geforce 9700M GTS 512MB VRAM (1440x900x24-bit) Network: Wireless: Intel WiFi Link 5100, Ether: RealTek RTL8168C(P)/8111C(P) Sound: RealTek ALC272-GR Sound OR Intel High Definition Audio Chipset: Intel 45 Express Chipset On install i set it to use Sound: Voodoo (i checked on the entire category). After the install everything appears fine including sound HOWEVER the laptop's internal MIC is on. There is an annoying feedback loop going on and the sensitivity by the MIC is acute. How do i completely disable the MIC within OSX Lion / iATKOS? Under System Pref >> Sound >> Input there is a single Sound Input Device (Microphone ATAPI). There is no way to disable it. The input Volume is set all the way to the LEFT however i can still here the background noise of the MIC coming from the internal speakers. I just want to disable MIC altogether. Thanks
  2. I'm using iATKOS v5i on my Toshiba Qosmio X300. Everything works fine now after lots of struggle. The only thing left is Hibernation. Sleep doesnt work either but ideally i want Windows like hibernation. When i attempt to Sleep the system display goes black but all other lights are on. The system refuses to respond forcing me to hold the power down to do a cold reboot. Useless. If theres a way to get hibernation working....
  3. I am using iATKOS v5i on my laptop but wanted to adjust the video driver to stop the smearing. Unfortunately the video driver change prevents me from being able to boot up into OSX now -- At the gray boot up screen i keep getting the message: You need to restart your computer. Hold down the Power button for several seconds or press the Restart button. I get the message for normal boot and safe boot. I did perform a Time Machine backup just before applying the driver. Is there anyway i can restore the OS either from Time Machine or other approach while not being able to get into the OS? That is can i restore the OS without having to first get into the OS? Is there some restore disk? For Windows i had several options like "Load from Last Succcessful Login" or Acronis Drive Image, or System Restore from the Vista disc. Thanks.
  4. Anyone have desktop display refresh issues with iATKOS v5i when loading OSX in normal mode? The install went fine and when i boot into OSX 10.5.5 in normal mode everything appears fine but when i move the window or try to scroll the display, the OS appears to not refresh the window leaving trails. When i boot in Safe Mode everything is fine. What can i do? Can i use the safe mode display driver within normal mode? My laptop is a Toshiba Qosmio X300 (graphics: nVidia Geforce 9700m GTS, Intel 45 Express Chipset) Thanks
  5. I own a Qosmio X300 (Intel COre 2 Duo, Realtek High Definition Audio, nVidia Geforce 9700). I was able to get iAtkos 5i installed on it. EVerything works fine accept for audio, external monitor switching, wireless internet, and the built-in keyboard / touchpad. At the moment i'm concerned with the laptop's builtin keyboard / touchpad. Is there ANY way i can get it activated? I have to resort to a USB mouse/keyboard just to interact with the OS. I've tried installing: appleps2controller.kext and acpips2nub.kext into the extensions folder and changing the permissions to 755, then rebooted but still the same problem. FYI before i can boot into OSX i "must" set the startup option to "-x".
