  1. I was able to install iAtkos v7 on VMWare Workstation 7(with no thanks to the guides on here -.-) and I installed the driver for my ethernet port. I chose to use my PC's IP to connect to the internet but I have no connection. Do I have to manually set that up or something? It looks complicated for people with no knowledge or experience with IPs. That is really my only problem, aside from the fact that I forgot to install a graphics enabler for my card

    [Question]Snow Leopard for AMD

Well I found a way to convert dmg into iso, but I don't know how reliable that may be.

    [Question]Snow Leopard for AMD

Bump because it was on page 4. But would I need a Snow Leopard retail dvd? Is that even possible to burn on Windows 7? >.<

    iATkos v7 issues

I was booting iAtkos v7 with VMWare, and everything installs fine, no kernel panics I don't believe. But for some reason my CPU stops responding and the VM restarts. I've tried every combination in chameleon v2 but it just gets frozen at some random point and still doesn't open. I was wondering if I would still have this problem if I were to install it on my pc. I know that help is very lacking around here(what with this being my third post in 2 weeks and still not one reply) but any help, any freaking help at all would be greatly appreciated. System: AMD Athlon II X2 240 AM3 2.8GHz EVGA GeForce 9600 GSO 512 G.Skill 4GB DDR3 1600 ASRock M3A770DE AMD 770 ATX Mobo Please, for the love of all that is good in this world, help a poor fellow out.
  5. Yes this doesn't work on my CPU. I do the -v -f busratio=7 cpus=1 and it shows all the files loading and then says there were errors and then restarts.

    iAtkos v7

Ok, so I burnt iAtkos v7 to a disk, and stuck it in my computer. I opened VMWare Workstation and made a VM with the disc. The OS installs fine, or at least it does. I made sure to select certain drivers and patches for my computer. It opens to Chameleon v2, and I choose the OS X partition, but after doing so, it shows a white screen with the apple logo and then crashes. Is there anything I need to do differently? Specs: Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit AMD Athlon II X2 240 AM3 2.8ghz 4gb g.skill DDR3 1600(currently running at 1333) EVGA GeForce 9600 GSO 512 1GB ASRock M3A770DE AM3 ATX Mobo iAtkos v7(OS X 10.5.7)
  7. I've heard from various sources around the net that it is possible to install Snow Leopard on an AMD platform? Is it true? If so, I have a few questions that I'd like answered before I make the switch. 1. Does it require a retail DVD or would a burnt copy suffice? 2. Will my computer be able to install it? (See below for spec) 3. Will the internet connect and work properly? 4. Will I be able to use the 64-bit programs, including third party ones such as Photoshop? 5. Will boot camp work, even if from a burnt copy? 6. Will their be any compatibility issues with my graphics card and Adobe products? I apologize for the many questions, I haven't really been keeping up lately. My System: AMD Athlon II X2 240 Processor 2.8GHz AM3 4GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 EVGA GeForce 9600 GSO 512 ASRock M3A770DE AM3 770 ATX AMD Mobo Again I apologize, I've just recently been infected with malware for a third time and I'm seriously sick of it. I really want to make the change.

Been a while guys, but I got a new computer.

ASRock M3A770DE AM3 AMD 770 ATX is what it says on Newegg. EDIT: I have a friend on deviantART with Snow Leopard on his AMD, so if that is possible it would be much better for me
  9. And honestly I don't know if it can install Leopard or not. I had seen about a year ago that people were experimenting with the AMD processors and I was wondering if anyone ever managed to get it working? I recently bought a new computer(AMD due to budget limit) and I was wondering if you guys had any info as to whether or not this would even remotely work on my computer. Here are the specs as best as I know them AMD Athlon II X2 240 2.8GHz 4GB G.Skill DDR3 1600 EVGA nVidia GeForce 9600 GSO 512 AS-Rock Mobo (I had a very low budget XD) Thanks in advance.
  10. Here are the system specs. I had to downgrade to an old Inspiron E1505 Motherboard: Dell with Intel i945GM North Bridge Processor: Intel Centrino Duo 2.0GHz RAM: 4GB Kingston DDR2 667 Ethernet: Broadcom 440x Wireless: Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Graphics Card: Mobile Intel 945GM Express (Intel GMA950 Processor) I want to be able to run it at 1280x800 with internet connection. I was never able to get the drivers to work on previous computers but am willing to try again. I'm just wondering if my computer will do iAtkos 5i.

    Internet Device Issue

    No, there's no ethernet/wireless support.

    Internet Issues

Well of course I didn't see the drivers in this forum for m Intel 3945ABG but has anyone tested them? Do they actually work? And another thing...does iATKOS v5i support Broadcom Netlink? I didn't see it in the list but SIW didn't show any numbers or anything...so I don't know if it's a 440x or not. Can anyone help?

    Internet Device Issue

iATKOS v5i Install. For one I can't connect to the internet. Installed a kext for my ethernet port and it still doesn't work. Is there anything anyone can do to fix this? I can update the rest on my own.

Why is help is very lacking around here

Well most people on the forums will tell you to search for a solution to the problem even though the solution is hidden beneath thousands of help request topics.
