  1. Thanks for the help, it fixed the problem, really should have figured that one out myself. Sorry took so long to respond been busy just installed 10.9 now.
  2. Hi there, Thanks for the guide. I have followed it all and boot the installer choose english setup language and then it comes up with a message saying that Mac OS X 10.9 can't be installed on this computer. Not sure what I am doing wrong, I only put the kexts in the package provided not sure if I am supposed to put the keyboard or sound one in as well. System specs are: Celeron G530 Foxconn H67M Asus G210 silent 1gb 4Gb Ram. Any ideas would be appreciated, thanks. Celeron G530Cel
  3. Does the Foxconn H67M work

Thanks for the help guys, just remembered about posting this. Got everything working, the sound took a while but now all is good
  4. Hi all, I have had a Foxconn H67M motherboard lying about as part of a forgotten server build a while back and as of today I have ordered in parts to complete it as I have sold my pc and need a cheap one running in the mean time. I have ordered all my parts to work with os x just not sure if the motherboard will support it. Was wondering if I could get any help on the topic before all the parts arrive tomorrow? Thanks.
  5. 6990M Working!

Well I will post a video of it today/tomorrow on youtube for you then. I was thinking about what else might be different and I remembered I have a different bios on the GPU then it came with as I was messing about with clocks and ended up having to find another bios to get my GPU working properly again. Also an update on everything, I have sound from laptop now, although occasionally a slightly crackly not sure why, I need to get a wi fi card at the moment I am using a USB one. And the battery icon works occasionally as well (yet again dont know why), and my processor never gets to 3.2 GHz as it does in windows it only manages just above 2 with the 5% over-clock in the bios, not sure how to get it to turbo boost in OS X.
  6. 6990M Working!

Hi everyone, I have been searching around for ages trying to figure out how to get proper support on my 6990m in my M17x-r2 and I have finally done it. I can watch movies, the dashboard has the ripples around new added widgets in dashboard and video is run smoothly. Basically what i did was install a fresh copy of iAtkos L2 with chimera bootloader, did not check any graphics options then booted with GE=Y. I then installed OSX86 Tools and enabled quartz GL restarted and then it all worked!! So happy got the laptop display and an external monitor working at full HD (1920x1080). I really hope that this helps others trying to do the same to get up and running because I have been searching for ages and ended up fixing by messing about, after doing all kinds of complex things (well at least for me.. lol) then this was so simple, I am amazed it worked.
  7. I basically installed 10.5.7 over a clean install with the new chameleon bootloader and voodoo 9.7.0 kernel. Then rebooted in safe mode and re installed kernel and repaired permissions and installed kexts for my motherboard and restarted and it automatically went to the highest resolution for my screen. It is a IceQ turbo x 4850 HD and ive taken the default cooler off put on a water-block. Here is what is says under hardware:ATI Radeon HD 48XX: Chipset Model: ATI Radeon HD 48XX Type: Display Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 512 MB Vendor: ATI (0x1002) Device ID: 0x9442 Revision ID: 0x0000 ROM Revision: 113-B7710C-176 EFI Driver Version: 01.00.318 Displays: SyncMaster: Resolution: 1680 x 1050 @ 60 Hz Depth: 32-Bit Color Core Image: Hardware Accelerated Main Display: Yes Mirror: Off Online: Yes Quartz Extreme: Supported Rotation: Supported Display Connector: Status: No Display Connected
  8. Hi everyone, Great news for those who want to upgrade to 10.5.7 and have a 4850 graphics card. Today i downloaded the 10.5.7 upgrade, chameleon 2.0 bootloader, and the 9.7.0 voodoo kernel. Then reinstalled mac then installed the chameleon bootloader and the new kernel restarted. Then i installed the upgrade and when it restarted it would not go past the apple logo, so i booted with -f -v and in safe mode i reinstalled the kernel (i dont know if this is nessasary) i then installed all the kexts for my motherboard and i did a permisions repair. then restarted and everything worked, amazing my graphics worked it set it to the highest res and i never installed the graphics card so obviously 10.5.7 has the drivers for it. Also i can change resolutions fine as well:) so im quite happy now 10.7.7 and 9.7.0 kernel and working graphics good times oh yeah and also under about this mac it says ddr 2 667 instead of ddr3 1333 but otherwise im really happy.
  9. @ Thehawks Well im sorry that i cannot tell you if it will work but good luck, it will be a seriously insane setup. Which processors will you use, and also how much hard drive space will you have in total? Also this may be a seriously stupid question but ill ask anyways, can a i7 2.66 Ghz work with that motherboard ? Also i looked at the skulltrail and it also looks pretty intense, how did that run?
  10. @Thehawks, I have no idea if it would work but wow!!!!! two 1366 processors, that thing is going to cruise. If you get it you have to post the geekbench results for it. Also what graphics card are you going to use with it, and what you going to use it for?
  11. Hi again, Thanks JaE-V and radov4n. I will wait for 10.5.7 and @ radov4n, i put that line in but did not bother with the -v part as i never have to use it anyway (what does it do?) also now that that is fixed how do i change it from waiting 5 seconde to something like 2 seconds when it starts up. Once again thanks Warren
  12. Hi again everyone, Well i am really happy with my hackintosh setup but I am still trying to fix all the little problems now, does anyone know how to change the id of my computer from a MackBook pro 5,1 to a Mac Pro. Also is it possible to get around having to type in busratio=20 every-time i start my computer. Thanks once again Warren PS i downloaded the mach kernel a page or to back and it comes up as folder with nothing in it but it still takes up a couple of megs does anyone know what's happening with that?
  13. Hi everyone, Can anyone tell me what the latest and best kernel is for the i7 processor and also where to get it. Thanks Warren
  14. Hi everyone, Well i am now posting using mac :) Everything seems to be going fine, but i did have to adjust the bios on my graphics card to get it to cool better as it was getting pretty hot. But now i have come across another problem, does anyone know how to get a temperature reading of your processor with a GA-EX58-UD4 motherboard and a i7 2.66 processor? I have tried Temperature monitor 4.7 and it crashes my pc, also i have iStat nano, a pretty usefull widget to have but it only shows my hard drive temperature. Any ideas how to get this working? Thanks Warren
