  2. laptopdisplay.kext

Hello Slice, I tried your dsdt fix and it works great however after sleep I am unable to control the backlight anymore. Any idea why this might be and what I can do to fix it? Thanks a lot!
  3. laptopdisplay.kext

Slice you're a genius Works great on my panasonic cf-y5 toughbook with gma950 gfx. Do you have any idea how I could remap my brightness control keys from <ScrLk> <Break> to <F1> <F2> with DSDT? If possible I'd like to avoid mucking around with function flip.
  4. Deleting sleep enabler kext

In order to delete it you could try one of a few things, a. another mac to hook the drive up to in order to delete the file, b. windows software like macdrive if you have a dual boot system, c. boot with the -v -x -s boot flags, navigate to S/L/E and issue the command rm -R sleepenabler.kext, d. Boot from the installation disc you used to install snow leopard and open up terminal. Once again navigate to S/L/E and issue the same command as above.
  5. GMA 950 - no backlight after wake from sleep *Solved*

Woohoo! Finally thanks to slice's post here my backlight works! All you have to do is edit your dsdt code and add this to it: Device (PNLF) { Name (_HID, EisaId ("APP0002")) Name (_CID, "backlight") Name (_UID, 0x0A) Name (_STA, 0x0B) } There are still a few minor issues but mainly cosmetic ones such as seeing my desktop mirrored 4 times on my display before the resolution changes to my displays native resolution on boot and in crossovergames I get vertical shearing when using direct3d or opengl but that might be the games too. Thanks guys!
  6. Has anyone found I way to wake up the monitor after sleep? In my case the card works great but unfortunately I have no backlight after waking up from sleep.

  10. Mercurysquad Voodoo3945 Troubleshoot

@benetube merc has said that the kp is a known problem and presumably he is working on a fix. So if you've already tried changing out the io80211 kext your best bet is probably just to wait for the beta release. In the meantime you could send merc your logs by email if you want to contribute.
  11. Mercurysquad Voodoo3945 Troubleshoot

Not by the sounds of thing but you could be the first! Chance of it working though are probably slim to none. Nonetheless post results if you do try.
  12. Mercurysquad Voodoo3945 Troubleshoot

This has happened to me as well, I seem to remember mercury saying that it does this on firmware error. If this is the case maybe a restart might help as it is my understanding that on boot the driver clears and reuploads the firmware. Either way you should send your logs to voodoo@mercurysquad.com following the procedure set out here: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?note_id=175707332907
  13. Mercurysquad Voodoo3945 Troubleshoot

@Amarti, According to merc snow leopard is not supported at the moment. Possibly it might work with the 10.5.8 IO80211.bundle but I doubt it.
  14. Mercurysquad Voodoo3945 Troubleshoot

Leo or snow leo? Installed with kext utility and worked for me.
  15. HP DV Series Whitelist BIOS hack

Hello, I am the owner of a panasonic toughbook cf-y5 notebook. It has pheonixbios v2.7l11 according to the bios setup page. I was wondering if it would be possible to add my pci information for the airport I purchased to the whitelist or completely remove the whitelist altogether? I understand that there is a risk of bricking my laptop which is ok but I'd appreciate some advice on where to begin. Thanks!
