  1. problem in start hackintosh Acer 6930g

Try the USB fix from the bootloader, in boot.plist
  2. This is a very good post!!! To contribute, I've made a script to save ioreg output automatically at login. To install it, follow the next steps (taken from http://support.apple.com/kb/Ht2420): Open Terminal (Applications/Utilities). In the Terminal window, type: sudo defaults write com.apple.loginwindow LoginHook /path/to/script (where /path/to/script is the full path to the script that we want to execute at login). Type your password at the prompt, then press Return. After reboot with wrong display, the output will be saved in your root folder. You should copy it to another location to prevent to be overwriten in the next boot. You can uninstall the script this way (in terminal): sudo defaults delete com.apple.loginwindow LoginHook ioreglist.sh.zip

I'm not working on the solution I've suggested at the moment, I'm just passing the ball...

The key is in hex patching AppleIntelGMAX3100.kext and AppleIntelGMAX3100FB.kext Patching GMAX3100FB.kext works ok. The problem is in patching GMAX3100.kext, because it produces a boot crash after the grey screen. Here is where DSDT patch enters. In DSDT, apparently we've have to delete CRT entries (it seems CRT entrie confuses MacOSX, that tries to look for this kind of monitor) and also inject values from original GMAX3100 card through "Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized)". I've only reached to pass from grey screen to blue screen, then it goes to a scrambled screen with really slow performance. I think this is the right path and it's only matter of keep trying different combinations of DSDT data injecting.

  6. In Acer Aspire 6930, ethernet is in bus number 6 I think. Could you add the line "hw_addr_ = pdev->mapDeviceMemoryWithRegister(kIOPCIConfigBaseAddress6)"? I tried, but I get this error: "'kIOPCIConfigBaseAddress6' was not declared in this scope". No, my bad, it's in pci slot Nº 5

Try this patched kext group. Run in verbose mode. It gives an error related to backlight parameters. Maybe we could fix that parameter. Intel.zip
  8. Atheros AR8131/AR8132

Can't it be fixed from DSDT?
  9. Does it have something to do with the location of the device in DSDT? I mean, does the attansic card have to be named like "GIGE", "PEX" or wathever in DSDT? Mine is named "GLAN" as default.

Sorry, I wasn't too clear. I meant that in MacBookPro6,1 DSDT shows two graphics devices and GFX0 corresponds to Nvidia, but in GMA4500 notebooks with only one graphic device, GFX0 usually is the Intel GPU like you said. Well, with 10.6.4 kexts, patched to match 2a42 device, we have still the same problem with the FB kext: it loads, but the screen go black at startup.
  11. GMA X4500

GFX is NVidia card, IGPU is for Intel HD
  12. GMA X4500

Here is DSDT, ioreg and ACPI tables from MacBookPro6,1, maybe someone figures out what to do with it. MacBookPro6_1_ACPI.zip
  13. GMA X4500

Could you post your DSDT, please?
  14. GMA X4500

Maybe we could try combining the x3100 framebuffer kext with the intelhd accelerator kext
