    [Help]Choice hardware for osx86 10.5.6

I have this setup and it works really really well, even updated to 10.5.7 with no problems. Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3R Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz Memory: 4GB DDR2 Ram Graphics: Asus nVidia EN8800GTX 768mb Hard Drive: 500GB Western Digital So to answer your question, yes the motherboard is fine (In fact from what i've read its one of, if not, the best board for osx86.) As for graphics I wouldn't know, I would highly recommend the graphics card I have shown, it works really well!

This made my BCM5787M Card show up as a firewire interface, and has uninstalled my airport card. Good attempt and thanks for your effort but didn't work for me!

    iPC 10.5.6 Ethernet Issues

Hey everyone, Having quite an annoying and seemingly unresolvable problem tonight, I have just upgraded from iATKOS 1.0 (10.5.1) to another distribution called iPC Universal 10.5.6. iATKOS ran my Ethernet perfectly, but i'm having some serious hardship in getting it to work on iPC! Here are my specs: Abit IL9 Pro V Motherboard Intel core 2 duo 1.86GHz Processor 4GB DDR2 Ram 768mb Asus EN8800GTX Graphics card Ethernet: Realtek RTL8110SC / RTL8369SC I have attempted the following: - Using plugins from IONetworkingFamily kext from old iATKOS installation, this resulted in the network section of system preferences freezing everytime i opened it. - Installing the R1xxxx driver package, this did nothing. - Installing drivers from Realtek website - I double checked that the LAN is switched on in Bios (But then if this was the problem, it wouldn't have worked in iATKOS 1.0) - Installing iATKOS 5i, but i get several kernel panics, and I can't seem to install it with any configuration. If anyone has had this problem and has fixed it, i'd really love to hear how! Really don't want to have to buy a ethernet pci card if i can avoid it!

Installing on Acer Extensa 5220 WIFI ISSUES

    Any help guys?
  10. Hey everyone, First post here at InsanelyMac! I have an Acer Extensa 5220-100508Mi, and I am installing the iATKOS 5 distribution of Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.5. I have installed the software, but with one major issue, Wifi does not work! The laptop uses an Atheros AR5BXB63 wireless chip. Anyone had any previous experience with this laptop, and know how to fix the Wifi issue? I am very new to installing Mac OS X on x86 hardware.. so be gentle!
