  1. Trying Clover Install on Asus P5Q3. After creating USB I boot from it, but when I press the spacebar I don't get an option With Injected Kexts. Help appreciated
  2. Did you get sound working on your P5Q3. I have the P5Q3 deluxe with Mavericks installed and running but no sound. What did you do to get your sound working? Links would be helpful. Thanks
  3. No the systems just stops there. I removed Virtual Box and will try again. I have a question though. In you rguide you say "Mount Mac OS X Mavericks image. Close the windows that shows up and open Pandora app". Do you mean double click on "Install OX X Mavericks" and shrink the resulting window?
  4. Tried without USB and yes, virtual box installed.
  5. OK, I formatted my USB stick. Ran Pandora. Got screen attached. Replied Y. System rebooted and hung. Log attached. Boot Fail;.rtf
  6. I just replaced my files with yours and Mavericks is downloading as I type. Anything I should be aware of with your files? Once downloaded, I will attempt upgrade to Mavericks. Thanks for your assistance. I may be requesting further assistance after Mavericks install.
  7. I will give your files a shot and report back later today. Just getting the install dmg is really proving to be a hassle for me but I'll keep working at it. Thanks.
  8. I have tried several premades and all give the same result. Still cna't download
  9. I'm not too familiar with Chameleon Wizard, but i did install it and I already had EthernetBuiltIn in my org.chameleon.boot.plist. I changed my SMBIOS to Imac with almost exactly same configuration as my rig. I will reboot and test to see what happens. well, I tried with the following from CW and still get the same error message trying to download.
  10. Hi. It;s been a while since I played with myhackintosh. I'm running SL 10.6.8 on a P5Q3 Deluxe. I wanted to upgrade to Mavericks, but when I go to the app store to download it I get "An unknown error has occured." I've tried for a couple of hours now to get around this, but I have been unable to download Mavericks. Is there any chance you could send me a link to the downloaded Mavericks installer?
  11. 10.7.3 kills video Nvidia 9800 gt

As Far as I Know, I have no nvidia specific Kexts that I installed. Are you referring to the kexts that came with Lion and if so, can you tell me what the names of those kexts are so that I can copy them from 10.7.1 to 10.7.3 I did not upgrade to 10.7.2. 10.7.1 was working fine so I waited for 10.7.3 Thanks.
  12. 10.7.3 kills video Nvidia 9800 gt

I will give that a try
  13. 10.7.3 kills video Nvidia 9800 gt

I applied the update for 10.7.3 and when I boot to the updated system my screen goes black. With experimentation I think the systems stops at the login prompt but the monitor appears to be disconnected. If I enter my password the system appears to continue as I see lots of disk activity, but the screen is black. I tried starting in verbose mode but the screen still goes black. Has anyone experienced this with the Nvidia 9800 GT video card? Any suggestions? Thanks
  14. Thanks Black for your great guides. Even though they are primarily for Gigabyte boards, I did use your guide for an ASUS P5Q3 board and it worked fine. I had to use VooDooHDA for my sound but everything else worked out of the box. I used this guide http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=260594 to install Lion on my P5Q3 with no hassle at all. Followed the guide and was up and running in less than 30 minutes. Again though, I had to add VooDoo for sound. Also, the Ralink wireless does not work yet as Ralink has not come out yet with drivers for Lion. I used the above guide to install to a new hard drive to avoid any issues with my Snow Leopard hack. I also created a bootable Lion DVD to install from in the future if need be. Hope this helps someone as it did me. Lion install was much easier than Snow. Good luck Black in your new endeavors.
