  1. Sony VAIO VPCYB1S1E (AMD E-350)

the HP most likely has a different VESA mode table then the Vaio...aka different video bios. so that makes the 1366x768 mode unavailable. I've tried numerous boot files, plist entrie, kexts etc. and 1366x768 doesn't work. If someone has gotten it to work on the amd e350 sony vaio, upload a video to prove it because it isn't possible from what I've tried.
  2. Sony VAIO VPCYB1S1E (AMD E-350)

lion won't work due to no AMD support in the kernel yet. And the fact the Radeon 6310 is not supported neither in GraphicsEnabler nor kext's. I have 10.6.8 running on my Vaio YB, but video and sleep do not work. video is 1024x768 stretched and sleep just freezes. The ATIRadeonX3000 and ATI6000 kexts are load (due to ediing the Info.plists with the 0x98021002 id's) along with ATISupport.kext, but ATIFrambuffer.kext refuses to load. I honestly think the Radeon 6300/6200 IGP's are in the same boat as the Intel GMA3150 there won't be support unless someone does some serious hacking to DSDT's and kexts. As to installing 10.6.8 on the AMD e-350 Sony Vaio YB I used nawcoms usb boot to make a 10.6.0 retail install stick booted with kernels commands "busratio=8 cpus=1 arch=i386 USBBusFix=1" and it took a couple of tries to get it to booted and installed. found here http://blog.nawcom.com/?p=569 then followed http://prasys.info/2011/06/howto-macos-x-1...nd-intel-atoms/ but I DIDN'T USE the EvilAppleACPIPlatform.kext and EvilIOPCIFamily.kext's just used the default 10.6.8 stuff. Also audio was tricky you can try this one http://www.kexts.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=1238 voodoohda or http://www.kexts.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=156 azalia if the default audio kext installed by nawcoms boot cd/usb doesn't work due to video not supported and stuck at stretched 1024x768 I don't use osx it's just sitting on a external harddrive. More then likely going to sell the laptop and build a desktop system with known supported parts. I will not supply the kext's as they are the DEFAULT 10.6.8 kexts with just the 6310 pci id's added to the Info.plists. if someone is good with video bios's I managed to dump the video bios, the info and dump are here.. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...mp;st=810
  3. I managed to dump the Radeon HD 6310 IGP on the AMD E-350 APU video bios from my Sony Vaio YB, not sure if it will help. 4. Radeon HD 6310M IGP.....any ideas?

the 6310 is not supported yet in chameleon for graphicsenabler. Also you would have to edit some .kexts and more then like hex edit them to. there is another thread in this sub forum that Azimutz is working on adding devices to chameleon for the newer ati cards. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=231768
  5. hp dm1z ati 6310- RESOLUTION FIX

what kernel are you using with lion, due to no AMD support in lion kernels? I have a sony yb with the e-350 and graphics enabler doesn' work due to the 6310 not in the ati.c code of chameleon. Azimutz was going to add it to the SVN code trunk, I provided the pci id's in another thread in the ati graphics card section.
  6. PCI\VEN_1002&DEV_9802&SUBSYS_9082104D&REV_00 codename for gpu is 'Wrestler" from what I've read.
  7. curious is anyone has added the zacate amd e-350 IGP (radeon hd 6310) I looked at ati.c and it isn't listed. viewed via the web. I can only get 1024x768 stretched resolution. Native res on my laptop is 1366x768. I've tried the lion kext's and such but I'm not a coder. Attached is a grab of GPU-Z for the id's. this is in a Sony Vaio YB series laptop. everything pretty much works except for the 1024x768 stretched graphics.
  8. Radeon HD 6310M IGP.....any ideas?

hmm, seems wiki is your friend... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of...P_.28HD_6xxx.29 codename is 'Wrestler' but also seen it called by 'Zacate'. Also found another article stating it is based on the Radeon HD 4330 core not the 5450 core. has anyone got native resolution 1366x768 working on this? pretty much everything else on my machine is working except for video and sleep.
  9. Radeon HD 6310M IGP.....any ideas?

Just wondering if anyone has got native res let alone QE/CI in Snow Leopard working. I'm stuck with 1024x768 aka default res for unsupported video card. I believe the framebuffer name is 'PALM' info in attached images EDIT: The codename for the HD 6310 GPU is 'LoveLand' as it’s based on an improved Radeon 5450 (Cedar GPU).
  10. DSDT Auto-Patcher

  12. DSDT Auto-Patcher

    MaLd0n, Wondering if you could look at my dsdt stuff. I've got a 10.6.7 install on my Sony Vaio YB with the new fusion APU E-350 with Radeon HD 6310 pretty much everything works except for audio sticks to hdmi out and not the realtek audio with voodoohda 2.7.2 video I know pretty much is unsupported due to being very new etc... Using Chameleon rev5 build 1020 kernel boot parms "arch=i386 busratio=8 USBBusFix=1" graphicenabler is not used in my /Extra/Extensions/ drwxr-xr-x@ 11 root wheel 374 16 Jun 19:50 . drwxr-xr-x@ 7 root wheel 238 18 Jun 09:39 .. drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 14 Feb 20:32 AppleACPIPS2Nub.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 14 Feb 20:32 ApplePS2Controller.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 6 Dec 2010 AtherosWiFiInjector.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 6 Dec 2010 IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 6 Dec 2010 IONetworkingFamily.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 21 Aug 2009 NullCPUPowerManagement.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 6 Mar 02:44 TotallyFixStillWaiting.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 6 Dec 2010 VoodooBattery.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 6 Dec 2010 fakesmc.kext In my /System/Library/Extensions/ drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102 6 Dec 2010 VoodooHDA.kext with AppleHDA.kext removed. attached is the output from your run_me.zip app. thanks
  13. GMA X4500

Exactly who knows what Apples intentions are. Unfortunately Apple got stuck with the IntelHD gpu cause you can not get a Core i series without it. Maybe they are secretly working on a driver, but the Nvidia still is the better choice. Only time will tell or some kick ass hacker/coder.
  14. GMA X4500

I mentioned something like this a long time ago. IntelHD is not supported by OpenCL and also the intelHD handles the basic 2D gui/desktop stuff. *shrug* Why would apple include the nvidia if the intelHD could do the job, cause it can't in their mind. http://www.macrumors.com/2009/08/30/opencl...cbook-pro-gpus/ I'm not saying it is not possible but it would require a driver/fb rewrite.
  15. GMA X4500

Macbook Air update won't be gma4500, if they use a core I* processor it will have intelHD, Found this post.. http://theappleblog.com/2010/05/10/rumor-h...pdate-tomorrow/ "Because of the minuscule size of the MacBook Air’s logic board and Intel’s licensing war with NVIDIA, Apple is faced with an interesting dilemma. Apple can either stick with Core 2 Duo CPUs and discrete graphics, or use Intel’s Core series and its wretched integrated graphics. I say why not do both. The low-end MacBook Air could keep the 1.86 GHz Core 2 Duo and get an updated NVIDIA GeForce 320M GPU. The high-end MacBook Air would get, say, something in a low-voltage Core i7 at around 2GHz and the equivalent of a piece of cardboard that is Intel HD graphics. While it’s true that would mean cutting one model of MacBook Air off from OpenCL, Clockspeed for clockspeed, the Core i7 crushes the Core 2 Duo. Anyway, a lack of OpenCL would hardly be the biggest performance bottleneck on the MacBook Air."
