Thats what I was saying thanks for. At the moment I have 5 different tabs open on different aspects of my mobo for a SL install, and the leg work you are doing on the 64bit, is being pulled back on to the main how to install SL page. That in itself is great. The credits you are giving in your posts tell of the original authors. I tilt my hat in respect. Thanks again and thanks to all on Insanelymac for you continual effort striving for a better understanding of the Mac OS. I mean six month ago it was all kexts, now we are patching DSDt's as there are less conflicts... Cheers

Hi Boxer. Sorry I've not tried as yet. I still trying to see which of my vst's will load with the 32bit. Once I have done that I will give it a go. About sound My kexts for sound are different as I,m using the DP35DP so I won't be able to help. Mind I will let you know though. Thanks for all your hard work on the 64bit installation, Its been great following your work, this kind of developing take time and effort all round, I have lost so many hrs sleep in the past trying to learn how to install leopard. I am still unable to boot chameleon with out the snowinstaller!! Its not a problem for me though. I am wanting to reinstall with the ihack method as you had a change in fortune with it. Sati The small little detail for you is a huge problem for the script that was written. It was written to utilse a USB boot. Be it a USB Pendrive of hard disc. Here lies the first error of your installation. Good luck with the install, if you follow the guide you should have a basic install. I myself am following boxer82003 with his endeavors with the 64 bit install as I am with the same problems. It takes time and effort by many people to get an install with hrs of reading through various posts for your kexts as each and every hack is different. My advice is follow the guides to the letter... It usually works.

Thanks Macusers I was trying to post it as a photo. Still no takers for the Motu PCIe dual kext dependancy?? I have poured over the forums and not found a solution as yet, back to the drawing board. Or does anyone know someone who's speciality is in this field, for me to try a PM. Because as far as I am aware this card runs on Mac. Just that none of the builds with it have used the DP35DP!

I have used osx86tools, kext helper and a couple of nvidia packs with no joy. I installed my old MAudio 24/96 using the envy 24 drivers just to check the PCI slots were functioning. I have functioning audio with it though it still midi errors are present in Logic The results for the Motu card read the same though. If you need a KP without the Envy24 driver I will up one later. The Motu is using a PCIe card! Have tried in all availiable slots. It shows up in SL yet no Audio in or out. Heres the KP from adding PCI kext. 9. [TOTALLY VANILLA] Retail Snow Leopard

Thanks for the prompt reply macusers. I had done that, I think that the problems with the DSTDpatch as I am have a Kernal panic on the intelcpumanagement not being recognised, unable to post a shot of the screen at the moment. Still booting from the usb will enable me to get the kext sorted. Any one got any suggestions on the Motu PCIe card I am at a loss as what to do have just tried an old jaguar firewire kext that didn't produce the goods Will give the EFI studio a try as my old nvkush kext is not doing the job this time.
  10. [TOTALLY VANILLA] Retail Snow Leopard

Hi Macinzed So after the first attempt snow leopard installed. Great work. I am now stuck with being unable to boot without the usb. Will try and get a photo up of the KP later. Also my Motu PCIe card is not recognised, I am using trial and error at the moment and am hoping that some one else has got past this on the DP35DP (check my sig for rest of details) The card is recognised yet has no input or output Which other kexts should I add or remove to remedy this?? As this is purely a Logic rig I am at a loss as to what to try next.

Any Solution to date?? I'm in the same creek with out a paddle!
  15. Sorry for the late reply. Im using a different mobo yet the same processor. I had the same trouble as you and the only solution was to disable the LAN in BIOS. After that all was fine I went the retail install using Boot 123. Good luck
