  1. Got it sorted out. First I installed Ozmosis bios, and did a fresh install. Everything worked perfect out of the box, only had to install modified AppleHDA.kext for the ALC898 audio. Restored my time machine backup, and delay was back!. It turns out when you restore using a Time Machine backup on a clean install, it copies kexts from S/L/E you had on the old install. I deleted all old kexts and usb delay is gone.
  2. Looks like v1.2.7 Here you go. GenericUSBXHCI.kext.zip
  3. Anyone else have an issue where their USB ports don't work right away on boot? I get to the login screen, and have to wait 2 minutes for USB to kick in and my mouse and keyboard start working. Running a GA-Z87X-UD5H motherboard, and Clover 2774. No DSDT. Removed HDAEnabler and installed audio_CloverALC by toleda for the ALC898 to attempt to remedy, audio works, problem persists. Have tried various usb fixes in Clover with no luck. Only 3rd party kexts are FakeSMC, and AppleIntelE1000 (tried without it), and GenericUSB 3.0 (tried without it) Was running 10.9.4 previously with no issues. Any help would be much appreciated.
  4. same here boot0 error, i had the same in vmware and just had it boot the 7 disc and run a startup repair,,, but parallels goes through a "first time" setup each time you try to run it and it won't boot off the cd... any ideas? Thanks!
  5. Geforce 9600 GSO (512mb ddr3) (G94) Working

Excellent! Wish I had that card instead though
  6. Just wanted to let everyone interested know I got my new eVGA GeForce 9600 GSO 512mb (which is a G94 chip) working fully. After trying many other things (nvdarwin, nvinstaller, 9xxx series drivers, etc.) I eventually tried simply installing 10.5.5, updating to 10.5.6, then installing custom Nvidea EFI String using UInstaller program. Works great, hope this helps others.
  7. Hi guys, right now i'm running an HD2600 xt with decent results, but have the chance to swap for a BFG 7800GT OC,,,, I mainly play older games, and I know the HD2600 is DX10 but that doesn't matter is osx, which will give me better perfomance? (coreimage and games) Thanks for you help!
  8. JAS 10.5.4 no USB auto detect

this is caused by your system.kext and kernel mismatched versions i believe, try a different kernel and/or system.kext. hope that helps...
  9. Overheating in OSx86?

Same here, C2Q Q9300, G33 chipset foxconn board, I can read HD temps but no case or cpu.........
  10. Love this release!!! Works perfectly here: Dell Inspiron 530 (i530-111b).... Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 @ 2.5GHz (All cores working) ICH9 Sata all channels work Radeon HD 2600 XT even card reader works! I had to buy a NC100 ethernet card from Walmart for $15 and use 'tulip.kext' for network.... Haven't tried to get internal sound working... Alesis MultiMix8 Firewire works great Just used StageXNU kernel, all ICHx options, radeon driver, SMBIOSResolver Thanks for all you hard work, Peace

  13. This is my first post on these forums, and I'd like to start by saying THANKS to everybody who posts here and shares their knowledge and experiences here. I have seen how deep the rabbit hole goes, and it is a crazy place! I recently finished building my first hackintosh, which has taken the place of my iBook G4 1.33ghz. (which will be on ebay soon) I was always a PC guy, and did the repairs and builds for friends, until Windows just got too annoying. All PCs and parts around the house went bye bye, and I stopped agreeing to fix peoples broken windows, when someone would call about a problem I started saying "just toss it and buy a mac" Someday I will get a new MacBook, but this is great until I can afford that Anyway,,, here is what I used: JaS 10.4.7 Install DVD ASUS T2-PH1 Barebone System (GMA900 Patch during install QE/CI/OpenGL Fully Supported) Intel Celeron D 346 3.06 Ghz (OSX shows 3.6) 533Mhz Bus pqi POWER Series 1GB (PC 3200) RAM Model MD441GUOE Western Digital Caviar SE WD2500JS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drive SAMSUNG 18X DVD±R DVD Burner With 12X DVD-RAM Write, LightScribe Technology TRENDnet TEW-443PI 32bit PCI2.2 108Mbps 802.11g Wireless PCI Adapter 19" AG Neovo LCD Monitor (was already running the iBook thru this using firmware hack) All is working out of the box (Sound, Ethernet, USB, Card Reader, haven't tried firewire) USB or PS/2 Keyboard works, also my Tascam US-122 (clicked Sound Blaster USB during install and just installed drivers from tascam's site) except wireless had to do this: Click wireless patch during install, then copy IO80211Family.kext and IONetworkingFamily.kext (from 10.4.5?, i downloaded from a post on this forum), repair permissions, reboot goto Networking System Prefs, configure new Airport, reboot again and got Airport Icon. I have done this several times and works everytime. It is much faster than the iBook, and the case looks good in my studio too. Myth II 1.6 runs great, and when (if) Cubase 4 gets cracked, I will get to destroy my xp partition! Thanks again, hope this will help someone else out looking for knowledge.
