1. [Solved] ATI 4670 1GB On Lion

Can you clarify what you have done?
2. Kakewalk 4: Makes installing Lion a breeze

I'm trying to run kakewalk off of a usb drive, and I run the process by selecting install to usb, select lion, select my motherboard and then the usb drive and 20 minutes later the process is finished. However, I have been unable to boot to the drive having tried the process twice (I have SL installed on this system ex58-ud3r) and I don't typically have problems booting to usb. Any ideas?
3. Hey guys, first things first these are my specs: Gigabyte EX58-UD3R v1.7 i7 920 @ 3.8ghz, been stable since 12/2009 12GB ddr3 ati 4670 2 x 24" monitors 19x12 linksys wmp54gsv11 (broadcom 4318 i believe) couple standard hard drives 96GB v+100 SSD (new, hence new install) etc So I have an older install that was completed sometime early 2010 that was initally 10.6.2 I believe. I forget the install process but needless to say I updated it to 10.6.8 recently. It always ran extremely well and only had one issue which is with the graphics card (sleeps but when it returns from sleep only the dvi monitor comes on, the hdmi one does not) So I got the new SSD in and wanted to use it to try out some of the newer install method to see if i could perhaps get my machine to wake from sleep properly without blowing up my main install. So far kakewalk has been the best, but I tried some ##### action as well. I have the new install 10.6.8 with the kakewalk and everything seems to be going just fine, but I ran cinebench to see how things were looking and my scores are half of my old install! current install cinebench 11: CPU - 6.58 GPU - 31.04 Fresh install (SSD) cinebench 11: CPU - 3.something GPU - 18.93 I know that on my old install the cpu is recognized as a quad core xeon and on the new install it say it's a I7. The cpue shows as 3.8Ghz in both installs. What are some things that I should be looking at on the new install?
4. ATI Radeon HD4670

I currently have a system on 10.6.8 with a asus 4670 512mb running two 24" monitors at 1920x1200 via hdmi > dvi cable and dvi > dvi cable. The weird thing is that they only work together, I can't run one monitor alone and when I sleep my system, when it resumes only the dvi monitor will come on, I cannot get a signal out of the hdmi no matter what I try. I installed on 10.6.0 using a cheap nvidia 8400gs i believe, then upgraded to 10.6.2 and swapped in my 4670. I ran my system this way for quite some time and just today upgraded to 10.6.8. I don't really recall what I did to get my graphics cards to work, I don't recall doing much of anything special. I can post any files or screen shots if it will help.
5. ATI Radeon 4670.....plesase god please......

I understand wake from sleep works perfectly for you, are you running dual screens on hdmi and dvi? I am and like I said wake from sleep works fine except for the part where my hdmi monitor does not come on and nothing I do after wake except for a restart will bring it back on.
6. ATI Radeon 4670.....plesase god please......

I prefer not to use vga as I run 1920 x 1200 and vga cna be quite blurry at that resolution. Any input on my issue two posts up?
7. ATI Radeon 4670.....plesase god please......

I have a 4670 that is working in my ex58-ud3r I7 920 system using cakewalk with nothing special done other than 10.6.2 but it is quite strange and unique. I had to install 10.6.0 with another card, then upgrade to 10.6.2 and then swap the 4670 in. Also, it only works with both monitors plugged in. I have 2 24" monitors and they're identical models. This appears to be the only way that it works, as I cannot boot just one monitor. Also, My system will sleep, but when it wakes only one monitor will come on. Like I said, a quite strange and unique setup. EDIT: one monitor is on hdmi out using a hdmi > DVI cable and the other is DVI > DVI. I have never messed with VGA as it usually looks like {censored} at 19x12 resolution. Does anyone have any Idea on how to correct the wake from sleep and have both monitors work as this is the only real issue I have with my hackintosh?
8. Is this good news for people with core I3 computers?
9. Do ATi 4670 and 4650 cards work under OSX?

10. CPU-related Kernel Panic?

I didn't mean to strike a nerve, i just meant to say that this computer is truly hacked together because there isn't a guide for it that works 100%. On my other setup I just ran kakewalk because it is a EX58-ud3r and everything works great.
11. Hey guys, I'm experiencing a problem and I was wondering if someone could possibly point me in the right direction. I have a true "hack"intosh, I'm running an i7 930 on a MSI X58M (can't find anyone else using this board) I used kakewalk for gigabyte ex58-ud3r since they have the same lan chipset and everything else seemed to match up other than sound. I deleted the dsdt included with kakewalk since that is for the gigabyte board. Everything installed great and started up fine including qe/ci and dual screen support on my cheesy 8400gs. However, whenever I install a program, I'm getting the same panic as the OP. I originally chalked it up to the fact that i upgraded to 10.6.3 on the first install (first screenshot) so I reinstalled and decided to only upgrade to 10.6.2. However, as you can see by the second screenshot I am still experiencing the same KP. It seems to only happen whenever I am installing anything, I can use the internet all day and it will be ok... If anyone could lead me in the right direction, I would greatly appreciate it!
12. Slow Gigabit Ethernet - Resolved

I've had to do the same thing on my install as well. I think most people just fire up safari and if it works they check it off as fully working instead of fully checking gigabit speeds.
13. CPU-related Kernel Panic?

Hey, I'm having similar errors. I have a true "hack"intosh though lol, I'm running an i7 930 on a MSI X58M (can't find anyone else using this board) I used kakewalk for gigabyte ex58-ud3r since they have the same lan chipset and everything else seemed to match up other than sound. 14. any plans for overclocking? IMO that is one of the biggest draws for running a hackintosh, being able to do something the mac elitist's can't. score:
15. HP Mini 311 vs. Dell Mini 10v

The s10 comes stock with a 3 cell battery usually and gets 3 hrs on a charge, what's bad about that? you can buy a 6 cell for 5 hrs or even a 9 cell for 7+ hrs. Also what is "bad processing"? It has an atom just like everyone else. Oh ya, i only had to remove 2 screws and a bay cover to upgrade memory by putting a single 1 gig stick in the empty existing slot. The hard drive is accessible via the same bay. Have fun upgrading your 10v, don't lose any screws... Please don't spread bad information.
