    ACL880 Asus m5200a

Hi, I have the following setup with iDeneb 1.4. Everything is working currently except for sound and wireless networking (which I don't use the internal card anyway). The system info is as follows: 00:00.0 Host bridge [0600]: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/PM/GMS/910GML Express Processor to DRAM Controller [8086:2590] (rev 04) 00:02.0 VGA compatible controller [0300]: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller [8086:2592] (rev 04) 00:02.1 Display controller [0380]: Intel Corporation Mobile 915GM/GMS/910GML Express Graphics Controller [8086:2792] (rev 04) 00:1b.0 Audio device [0403]: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) High Definition Audio Controller [8086:2668] (rev 04) 00:1d.0 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) USB UHCI #1 [8086:2658] (rev 04) 00:1d.1 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) USB UHCI #2 [8086:2659] (rev 04) 00:1d.2 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) USB UHCI #3 [8086:265a] (rev 04) 00:1d.3 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) USB UHCI #4 [8086:265b] (rev 04) 00:1d.7 USB Controller [0c03]: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) USB2 EHCI Controller [8086:265c] (rev 04) 00:1e.0 PCI bridge [0604]: Intel Corporation 82801 Mobile PCI Bridge [8086:2448] (rev d4) 00:1f.0 ISA bridge [0601]: Intel Corporation 82801FBM (ICH6M) LPC Interface Bridge [8086:2641] (rev 04) 00:1f.1 IDE interface [0101]: Intel Corporation 82801FB/FBM/FR/FW/FRW (ICH6 Family) IDE Controller [8086:266f] (rev 04) 01:03.0 CardBus bridge [0607]: Ricoh Co Ltd RL5c476 II [1180:0476] (rev b3) 01:03.1 FireWire (IEEE 1394) [0c00]: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C552 IEEE 1394 Controller [1180:0552] (rev 08) 01:03.2 SD Host controller [0805]: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter [1180:0822] (rev 17) 01:03.3 System peripheral [0880]: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C592 Memory Stick Bus Host Adapter [1180:0592] (rev 08) 01:04.0 Ethernet controller [0200]: Realtek Semiconductor Co., Ltd. Have tried the Azalia audio package, VoodooHDA pretty much anything I can find on ACL88x and to this point have not been able to get it working. If anyone has any other suggestions or experience with the same problems, some assistance would be greatly appreciated with the sound. Cheers
  2. Is that from a retail disk or did you use a specific distro? Thanks
  3. Don't know if anyone is reading this, but same install specs, everything is working. But, when trying to install software update 10.5.7, after restart it starts up into rebooting loops. like kernel panic, but the proper kernel was working prior to update. Is there maybe a better way to update to 10.5.7, rather than going to software update. Previously all updates worked, except the latest one. Any suggestions for updating?

Realtek RTL 8185C iAtkos v5i HELP?

Did you happen to ever sort out your wireless card? I have the same card but can not get it working either. It seems that card is not supported according to many other posts.

  6. Hey, wondering if you still have this box, and if so have you tried the new 10.5.6 on it? I have tried numerous settings and have not yet been able to get past boot screen after install, and verbose reveals nothing.

    Toshiba Tecra M2 10 5 5

Wondering if someone can help me. I have run through the installation, which takes this system forever: http://www.toshiba.ca/web/product.grp?lg=e...rt=2150#spectop The install actually takes a few hours, not 20 minutes for it to go through. I have messed with bios settings, customized settings to see if I could get anywhere. I get to the end of the installation, and when I boot from HDD it flashes the startup screen and just keeps rebooting. Does anyone have any suggestions? I checked out the HCL and it wasn't on there but tried anyway. If anyone has thoughts, I'd love to hear it.
