  1. Hi, today I updated my HP 8530w to Yosemite 10.10.1. The last version of RehabMan-Battery-2014-1016 kext doesn't work perfect. The battery shown as working and not working. Flipping between percentage and the X. But better than nothing. Seems to be dependent what is in use in the menue, so the battery kext works. Gummans AppleHDA works. VoodooPs2 was taken from TonymacX86's "Multiboost"so it works after sleep mode. Speedstep is fixed by editing org.Chameleon.boot.plist with P- and C-states. Reboot is faster selecting also c2, c3, c4 states, but I don't know why. I trying to find a way for undervolting to make the more battery time.
  2. Hi, I recently installed an Artic MC001 with Mountain Lion with help of Iatkos ML2. Updated to 10.8.3. and took a lot of hours to enable QE via HDMI. Flashed the latest Bios and extracted a DSDT File. The most important thing is the Atom capable kernel on other Mountain distributions. I'm still trying to enable HDMI audio, but I did not find to time to solve this in my dsdt File. Maybe my dsdt.aml will fix your installation problem. Working: ATI 5430 HDMI ok VGA Not Sound ok with patched Applehda.kext SDcard Reader running out of the box DVDRom Ok USB3 with PXHCD.kext Wlan ok with RT2870USBWirelessDriver.kext Ethernet ok witrh RealtekRTL81xx.kext Still not working HDMI Audio out Speedstep SpleepMode 10.8.4 (did not give a try) I would like to enable speedstep to get rid of NullCPUPowerManagement.orig.kext. Try to use my ATIConfig from org.chameleon.Boot.plist: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Boot Graphics</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>AtiConfig=Shrike npci=0x2000</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>No</string> <key>Theme</key> <string>Choose_Your_OS</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> </plist> I was really a long time ago. I hope I did not forget anything... Extra_Dsdt.zip Extentions in System-Libtrary.zip
  3. no way: read this http://forum.noteboo...tml#post8336168 Now my 8530w is running 10.8.
  4. Hi, I fixed the USB DSDT mystery. Adding two more unused IRQ's for HPET devices, that seem to use randomly more the 2 IRQ's. Got help from this thread: http://www.insanelym...howtopic=206313 HP8530w_2.8GHz_dsdt.aml.zip
  5. Hi hpeters998, you can have my dsdt file, but it not finished so far. I did not fix the USB problem (no function), yet. I'm still using gunman's dsdt file. But speedstep for T9600 is working. Do you the same Bios like me or gumman? CDRom is working properly. dsdt.aml.zip
  6. Hi, next thing I need to make work is the SD card reader (Ricoh R5C822). My old dell Vostro has the same device Id as the HP 8530w. In the Projectosx forum you can download and try the non dma driver and a driver with dma support, both dif not work a Dell Vostro1500 or HP 8530w. http://www.projectos...indpost&p=16792 As already said, my tests to make HDMI work stuck. Trying on NVAP value in DSDT: "04000000 00000d00 40000000 00000007 00000000" was used in MVinject.kext once. http://www.insanelym...howtopic=205472
  7. Hi qdt9999, Nice to hear, sometimes the trackpad doesn't work after sleep. Most of the time it seems to work properly. @gumman: Did you mange to find out what has to be changed in your DSDT file to make the battery indicator work?
  8. Trackpad and Keyboard enhancement? http://www.osx86.net..._ps2_32-64.html I'll try.... After removing all old PS2 keyboard related kexts, I installed the gesture package, but I doesn't seem to work after sleep mode. Trackpad is out of function. But the PreferencePane is nice.
  9. Hi qdt9999, did you try out speed_stepper? MSRDumper will help to find out P-States. http://www.insanelym...c=258611&st=280
  10. Hi qdt9999, CPU-X is only capable to show the maximum cpu frequency. Make use of SMCMonitor to find out at what speed your cpu might run. It won't help to install an older AppleACPI..kext, because there is an issue on DSDT battery syntax. I did not find time the read out the whole story here: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=272459 Cpu-x_SMC_Monitor.tiff
  11. There you are: VoodooHDA.kext_10.7.3.zip
  12. Hi Gunman, of course, I will do so. I think I will test out some DSDT NVCAP values next week for HDMI out.
  13. Hi Gunman, thank you for the fix of my dsdt file ! :thumbsup_anim: Yes I do use Voodoohda.kext in /S/L/E and AppleHDADisabler in /E/E. Now I will try the finalize the dsdt file and will report after testing. CPU is still working with your Speedstep settings. Most important to me is the missing HDMi output and DVI output via docking station. Extensions in Extra.zip
  14. Hi gunman, thank you for such a nice guide. My problem is to fix a dsdt problem for a real HP 8530w with Nvidia FX 770 and 2.8 GHz T9600 CPU. I never managed to fix all compiler errors even with the ICH09 Patches from oldnapalm http://www.insanelym...howtopic=223205 What has be changed to fix my battery indication and my 2.8 Ghz CPU to your DSDT File? When I try make use of VoodooBattery.kext in /S/L/E, battery is not recognized. My Cpu seems run 300 Mhz less than possible: 2.5 instead of 2.8 Ghz. Which Extensions do you have in /Extra and additionally in /S/L/E? Without your DSDT File, I wouldn't be able make use of the display and sound. hp8530w_unmodifed_dsdt.zip

    DSDT Auto-Patcher

Biosmod für Dell Bios? No, still using A06 release orginal. Is there one available like the gigabyte bios mods? Still having trouble getting sleep mode working. Even this file did not work even is is similar to my vostro 1500: The boot process stucks with dsdt.zeroapple modification (Broadcom BCM4328 802.11 Wireless Controller and sata controller powering down during boot) Once you told me to use an extract with dsdteditor and a special patch from you. Then I patched the dsdt extract from my vostro1500 with nvidia 8600mgt and Broadcom Wifi with your Patch Vostro 1500 zip, but sleep mode did not work properly (no wakeup up possible). I was also wondering in system profiler that gave me an Intel WIFI adapter AGN4965 that was not built in for sure. So I ran run_me and I would like to ask, if it is possible to have a look at it. Please... send_me.zip
