  1. Hello there, I've successfully installed iAtkos v7 on my pc (2.4 GHz Core2Quad, 8800 GT, ep45-ud3l, 4 GB RAM) 4 months ago it has been working great ever since, it barely needed some drivers and everything worked like magic; I even updated to 10.5.8 2 months ago without facing any problems. Yesterday i turned on the hackintosh and when the bios started it stopped at Memory (The part it displays the memory capacity and hard disks connected) and keeps rebooting, i tried pressing DEL and F12 to see if i can go into settings or simply just delay the rebooting process but it didnt work. Now when i turn it on it starts again and keep rebooting but the screen won't work! It doesn't display nothing. It works with other PCs so it's not the monitor itself. So I would like to have any advice about what could have gone wrong so i can get to fix it, I have very very important information on my hard disk that i can't lose. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  2. New Hackintosh ... Alot of problems

thanks alot for your responses, I'm currently updating to 10.5.4 through Software Updater I hope this fix anything, I've tried NVinject for my graphics card, set it to be 768MB instead of 1GB it's working now, but my main problem is the Hard Disk issue, I've another 160 GB Sata which has no problem about it's space, at installer it says it's 160GB. I was wondering this issue is because that I never installed anything nor formatted the new 640 GB hard disk, can this cause that problem ?? also if I buy a USB sound card with it work, or should I look for something specific ? thanks again
  3. I just bought a pc and installed Kalyway 10.5.2 on it. Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz Q6600 Motherboard: Gigabyte EP45-UD3L Graphics Card: Xpert Vision GeForce 8800 GT Super+ 1 GB Hard Disk: WD 640 GB 16MB Cache RAM: Kingstone 2 x 2048 GB DDR 2 I've alot of problems arised after installation: - Graphics Card, I can't find a driver anywhere I've been searching for the whole day and found nothing. - Audio Card, the drivers aren't working, it's RealTalk ALC888. I've tried AppleHDA from How to patch AppleHDA.kext from 10.5.2 and above and it's not working, I also tried the ".mpkg" file at ALC88x 10.4.8 Kext and its not working too. - Hard disk - which is 640 GB - is detected to be only 128 GB on leopard! Please help me to solve the above issues, Thanks in advance

I just bought a new pc to install kalyway 10.5.2 on it, the mother board is EP45-UD3L not UD3R, here are the full list Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad 2.4 GHz Q6600 MoBo: Gigabyte EP45-UD3L Graphics Card: MSI nVidia 8800 GT 1GB RAM: Kingstone 2 x 2048 MB DDR2 Hard Disk: WD Caviar Blue 640 GB, 16MB Cache, SATA The problem is at the format step in the installation it reads the hard disk to be only 128 GB, while it's supposed to be 640 GB!!!! Also the installation took so long, but after it's finished I restarted the PC to put from the Hard Disk and complete installation when I'm at the registration process the PC doesn't read the keyboard :S:S the mouse is working fine but I cant proceed without the keyboard!! if anybody have a solution for this problem please share it, I need my hackintosh running :S
  5. Color grading monitor substitute.

anybody who is working in the post production or motion graphics editing know the importance of color grading monitor. I'm not familiar with it, never took editing professionally but I do know how expensive they're (Sony color grading machines starts from $ 3000 up to $ 12000) but I'm wondering if there are any possibilities of alternatives existence for color grading monitor. I heard that with some configurations i can use a PC LCD monitor as color grading monitor, is this possible ? Please share your knowledge. regards
