1. Lifehacker Guide with GA-EP45-UD3P Motherboard

Everyone, do yourself a favor and just download the BIOS from http://cartri.net/blog/downloads Everything will work and you won't even need DSDTs or Drivers...... heck with guides:)
2. $100 for a clean Install on Asus U81A

I'm pretty sure the intel graphics card will be a no go.... I would take that 100 and put it toward a nice Macbook Well maybe there is hope http://deviato.wordpress.com/2010/01/28/ch...r-snow-leopard/ As for the wireless, it is not done, but you can check here http://www.facebook.com/pages/mercurysquad/130654692121
3. ATI HD 5770

I wanted to give an update.. I reinstalled with Tony's ##### and installed the drivers, my Sapphire 5770 1GB is working beautifully! Using ATY_INT.
4. ATI HD 5770

Yeah, I had a 9800GT. But this I got today is a Sapphire 5770 1GB... However, I am starting to think the Mobo got fried today somehow during the install as everything is starting to corrupt and having weird issues.. Going to buy a new one tomorrow and report back
5. ATI HD 5770

here is my KP.. I really hope someone can help. I am running 10.6.4
6. ATI HD 5770

After copying over the netkas drivers, I get a KP on boot. Basically it is complaining about dependencys Jul 14 17:09:33 localhost kernel[0]: Kext com.apple.ATIRadeonX3000 - library kext com.apple.iokit.IONDRVSupport not found. Jul 14 17:09:33 localhost kernel[0]: Can't load kext com.apple.ATIRadeonX3000 - failed to resolve library dependencies. Jul 14 17:09:33 localhost kernel[0]: Kext com.apple.ATIRadeonX3000 failed to load (0xdc00800e). Jul 14 17:09:33 localhost kernel[0]: Failed to load kext com.apple.ATIRadeonX3000 (error 0xdc00800e). Jul 14 17:09:33 localhost kernel[0]: Couldn't alloc class "ATIRadeonX3000" Also hangs on IOGraphicsFamily........ Any ideas? This is a Sapphire 5770
7. rhd 5500/5600/5830

netkas, a 5830 basically a rejected 5850 with a lot of things disabled right? So shouldn't the config be close to a 5850? On your site I didn't see any 5830s confirmed working, but I would love to buy one and try (and post results) if you think it might have a chance.
8. rhd 5500/5600/5830

So 5830 is a no go huh? Too bad, they are only 199 right now... seems like an awesome card for the price
9. Can't connect to AFP

Hmm... looks like in pacifist that afpfs.kext isn't updated until 10.6.2.. I hate to reinstall though for one kext so I hope someone tars it up and posts it here:) Pleeease Smallmac:P lol
10. Can't connect to AFP

Is there a way to build a custom kernel from 10.6.4 to include Celeron support?
11. Can't connect to AFP

I'm posting in here so hopefully I find an answer, if not, and i figure it out I will post here to help others:) Anyway, I noticed I can't connect to any machines using AFP and SMB worked... I figured out it wasn't Bonjour, and then went into system.log and found: Jun 18 14:15:16 My-Mac com.apple.kextd[10]: Failed to load /System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpfs.kext - (libkern/kext) link error. Jun 18 14:15:16 My-Mac com.apple.afpfs_afpLoad[126]: /System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpfs.kext failed to load - (libkern/kext) link error; check the system/kernel logs for errors or try kextutil(8). Then, using it suggestion ran # kextutil afpfs.kext I got: Warnings: The booter does not recognize symbolic links; confirm these files/directories aren't needed for startup: /System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpfs.kext/Contents/CodeDirectory /System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpfs.kext/Contents/CodeRequirements /System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpfs.kext/Contents/CodeResources /System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpfs.kext/Contents/CodeSignature (kernel) kxld[com.apple.filesystems.afpfs]: The following symbols are unresolved for this kext: (kernel) kxld[com.apple.filesystems.afpfs]: _vfs_setunmountpreflight (kernel) Can't load kext com.apple.filesystems.afpfs - link failed. (kernel) Failed to load executable for kext com.apple.filesystems.afpfs. (kernel) Kext com.apple.filesystems.afpfs failed to load (0xdc008016). (kernel) Failed to load kext com.apple.filesystems.afpfs (error 0xdc008016). Failed to load afpfs.kext - (libkern/kext) link error. Check library declarations for your kext with kextlibs(8). So looks like _vfs_setunmountpreflight is a lib it can't resolve for some reason. Now, looking at _vfs_setunmountpreflight it reminds me of something I see on every boot: kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: This symbol set has the following unresolved symbols: kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: _buf_getcpaddr kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: _buf_setcpaddr kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: _cp_key_store_action kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: _cp_register_wraps kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: _ifnet_clone_attach kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: _ifnet_clone_detach kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: _ifnet_idle_flags kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: _ifnet_set_idle_flags kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: _mbuf_get_priority kxld[com.apple.kpi.private]: _vfs_setunmountpreflight Any ideas? Perhaps since I am using a legacy kernel (I have a celeron) that it can't find these items in the new kernel? 10.6.4 looking for 10.6.4 libs
12. Grey Screen of Death.. HELP!

I think it has to do with trying to run a Celeron in 10.6.2... I will fix myself with the legacy Kernel:) I just wanted to post just in case someone else runs into this issue
13. I have a Shuttle K45, and followed the guides in the K45 forum here... I updated to 10.6.1 successfully. However, whenever I attempt an upgrade to 10.6.2 or greater, I get the dreaded Gray Screen of Death with the apple logo. It just sits there doing nothing. Left it on for a day and it never continued. Booting with -x -v results in a black screen of death. Also does -x -v -s. Shows the kexts loading and then just goes to a black screen... I successfully built my own DSDT and tried deleting SleepEnabler.kext. I wish I knew what it means when it locks up before it starts showing boot messages. I don't know where to start on this one -___-
14. An update: I decided to make a DSDT from scratch using all the info here, except I left the sleep portion out just to test... (also not using sleepenabler.kext) I updated to 10.6.1, all was well... everything 100% working. Then updated to 10.6.2 and now KP on boot. Ideas? hmm . Usually KP on update boot is SleepEnabler
15. Hi... I need some help. I installed using the guide and got it working perfectly. However, when I installed 10.6.3 and rebooted it went to a black screen on boot. I even tried on -v -x -s options, and it shows the extensions loading but then goes to a black screen and just sits there... Any ideas? I made use SleepEnabler was cleaned out of /Extra/Extensions and /S/L/E. Also tried NullCPUPM in /Extra/Extensions
