  1. Radeon HD 5870 / HD 5850

    Use Kabyl's bootloader.
  2. Sapphire HD5870 1GB Non-Ref working: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814102883 Only problem is that on my second LCD when rotated the 2d refresh rate seems to go down a lot. When I drag a window on that LCD I can see some stuttering. No other problem so far.
  3. rEFIt reinstall problem

refit somehow stopped working on my 2.4GHz Unibody MBP. Tried reinstalling to no avail. It just goes straight into OSX and I have to hold down option to get the default Mac OS selector. Tried reinstalling everything and still no go. Here is my partition analyzer output: *** Report for internal hard disk *** Current GPT partition table: # Start LBA End LBA Type 1 40 409639 EFI System (FAT) 2 409640 312623143 Mac OS X HFS+ 3 312887296 625141759 Basic Data Current MBR partition table: # A Start LBA End LBA Type 1 1 409639 ee EFI Protective 2 409640 312623143 af Mac OS X HFS+ 3 * 312887296 625141759 07 NTFS/HPFS MBR contents: Boot Code: Unknown, but bootable Partition at LBA 40: Boot Code: None (Non-system disk message) File System: FAT32 Listed in GPT as partition 1, type EFI System (FAT) Partition at LBA 409640: Boot Code: None File System: HFS Extended (HFS+) Listed in GPT as partition 2, type Mac OS X HFS+ Listed in MBR as partition 2, type af Mac OS X HFS+ Partition at LBA 312887296: Boot Code: Windows BOOTMGR (Vista) File System: NTFS Listed in GPT as partition 3, type Basic Data Listed in MBR as partition 3, type 07 NTFS/HPFS, active
  4. I fixed it. I had QuartzGL on which is a big no-no with Firefox and Flash. Safari has it off by default which was why it was working fine.
  5. I have a MX Revolution mouse with the free scroll. Every time I go to this page: http://www.legitreviews.com/article/1019/2/ And scroll from top to bottom and back repeatly with the free scroll (ie very fast), the entire screen will sometimes flicker and then hang. Sometimes it does not flicker but still hangs. I reset my overclock and stuck a fan next to my case incase I am overheating and it made no differece. I tested my hardware in Windows anyway so that should not have been the issue. I tested the same page in Safari and it was perfectly fine. However I am not ready to write this off as a Firefox issue as I never had Firefox causing the entire OS to hang. I am thinking maybe it is a video driver issue. I am using a GTX 260 with netkas's injector with a 30" LCD hooked up. Are there any gpu testing tools in OS X? I tried Xbench and Geekbench both ran fine. Thanks.
  6. Try removing AppleIntelPowerManagement.kext totally.
  7. K I got my shutdown to work. I deleted my AppleIntelPowerManagement.kext and it shuts down properly. Then I decided to do a check permission and it broke again. So I tried to put the kext back and upon restart I got a KP. Restarted again got into OSX. Shut down and it works. Tried like 10 times in a row now shuts down every time. No clue why it works though.
  8. Can you upload your AppleIntelPowerManagement.kext? Thanks.
  9. What are you using to check your CPU temperature? Edit: I was fooling around and I got it to shutdown correctly ONCE. I could not reproduce it. I was looking into IntelCPUPMDisabler.kext and noticed I do not have it installed so I installed it and made no difference so I removed it. Then I removed OpenHaltRestart.kext since that was not working either. I was fooling around with the ACPI 2.0 setting in bios when I got it to shutdown once. I was playing with the settings while trying to figure out how to fix my ATA as the AppleVIAATA.kext was not working for me. I deleted AppleVIAATA.kext with ACIP 2.0 enabled it and it worked but a reboot it hanged again. Probably just a fluke.
  10. Having the same exact issue on my P5Q Deluxe. Everything works except for sleep and shutdown. Neither fully turns the computer off.
