    [UEFIPatch] UEFI patching utility

    Actually, I did follow all the step at MDL, and found the pattern. Just want to make sure everything is ok before flash. I will report the result first thing tomorrow. Thanks! Hi Fix It Felix Jr. Sorry, before reporting the result, how can I tell which region is update, which is not? Thanks!

    Hi Fix It Felix Jr. You mean there is no more step to unlock AMI bios as per your post in MDL? Thanks!

    Sony VAIO VPCEB4C5E!

    This is the DSDTFixer you are looking for. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/78589781/DSDTFixer.zip Basically, both models use the same DSDT. Due to EDID injected in DSDT, mine DSDT may not work in your machine. However, I am pretty sure this DSDTFixer can fix crosslink error in your DSDT.

    Sony VAIO VPCEB4C5E!

    On DSDT, it's easy. The key is the DSDTFixer. It can fix a lot of error. Then I would suggest you to use DSDT Editor to inject AR9285, USBFix, BatteryFix, EDID, AppleHDA layoutid.... If you should still have any problem, I can send you my DSDT. The AppleHDA.kext is working. Just inject the layout ID 86 to DSDT. With this file, I have HDMI digital audio output. Also, I have no problem in VGA output. It seems like you have some problem on the file below. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/78589781/ATI5000Controller.kext.zip I use Hoolock as FB. Basically, OS X runs pretty good on my vaio EB17, the only problem is Clover Windows Boot. After read your instruction, it seems like I have to reinstall all the OS on my SSD. By the way, what is boot0fs?

    Sony VAIO VPCEB4C5E!

    Thanks for your info. Let me try the clover. It's a dsdt wifi patch. With this DSDT wifi patch, you do have to modify the kext. Ethernet is still problem in our machine. I would like to share the modified AppleHDA.kext, I use in my 10.8.4, with layout id 86. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/78589781/AppleHDA.kext.zip Hope you can get rid of voodooHDA with this file. edit: No luck on the clover. Neither boot0af nor boot0ss. Still showing "Boot Windows in Legacy HD2" in the GUI menu.

    Sony VAIO VPCEB4C5E!

    Thanks for your information with Clover to solve "About This Mac" problem. Indeed, I've tried clover, and it works great. However, when I use Clover I can not boot my Windows partition anymore. Do you have the same problem? LegacyBoot in Legacy BIOS is still pain in the ass over Clover. Thanks! Also, for the AR9285 we can inject DSDT as below. Device (PXSX) { Name (_ADR, Zero) Name (_PRW, Package (0x02) { 0x09, 0x03 }) Method (_DSM, 4, NotSerialized) { Store (Package (0x0B) { "AAPL,slot-name", Buffer (0x08) { "AirPort" }, "device-id", Unicode ("0"), Buffer (0x08) { "AirPort" }, "model", Buffer (0x35) { "Atheros 9285 802.11 a/b/g/n Wireless Network Adapter" }, "subsystem-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x8F, 0x00, 0x00, 0x00 }, "subsystem-vendor-id", Buffer (0x04) { 0x6B, 0x10, 0x00, 0x00 } }, Local0) DTGP (Arg0, Arg1, Arg2, Arg3, RefOf (Local0)) Return (Local0) } }
  10. I use Lion's 3 kexts plus EDID override as below, I got QE CI on my internal display. However, my internal display sometimes worked, but most of time the images are scrambled. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...amp;mode=linear So, now I am trying to use 10.6.6 kexts personalities to get the LVDS working. Regarding the missing LVDS SenseID for our Sony Vaios, Could be 02. ATOM BIOS Rom: SubsystemVendorID: 0x104d SubsystemID: 0x9071 IOBaseAddress: 0xd000 Filename: BR36874.001 BIOS Bootup Message: Sony M980 Madison LP DDR3 64Mx16 600E/790M LVDS/VGA/HDMI Connector at index 0 type: LVDS (7) Connector at index 1 type: HDMI-A (11) Connector's i2cid: 94 Connector at index 2 type: VGA (1) Connector's i2cid: 90 According to our radeondump. It is impossible to be 01, because 01 is for VGA.
  11. Hi kokosnuss, It seems we have the same problem. However, I do not have VGA and HDMI for testing. When I use Nomascus without changing the other bytes, only the SenseID, from 02 to 04. I found only the 02 will bring the backlight "ON" with black screen. So I guess 02 is the SenseID. Today, I got output from uBuntu as below. [ 16.169116] [drm] Radeon Display Connectors [ 16.169118] [drm] Connector 0: [ 16.169119] [drm] LVDS [ 16.169120] [drm] Encoders: [ 16.169122] [drm] LCD1: INTERNAL_UNIPHY [ 16.169123] [drm] Connector 1: [ 16.169125] [drm] HDMI-A [ 16.169126] [drm] HPD1 [ 16.169128] [drm] DDC: 0x6470 0x6470 0x6474 0x6474 0x6478 0x6478 0x647c 0x647c [ 16.169130] [drm] Encoders: [ 16.169131] [drm] DFP1: INTERNAL_UNIPHY1 [ 16.169132] [drm] Connector 2: [ 16.169133] [drm] VGA [ 16.169135] [drm] DDC: 0x6430 0x6430 0x6434 0x6434 0x6438 0x6438 0x643c 0x643c [ 16.169137] [drm] Encoders: [ 16.169138] [drm] CRT1: INTERNAL_KLDSCP_DAC1 Again insufficent information, need to test one by one. However, base on the UNIPHY, the possible "Encoder and Transmittor" combination should be as below. 00 00 10 00 20 00 I will test later today. By the way, what Framebuffer you are using?
  12. mucha, Thanks for your guide, inspiring most of ati people. I have a Sony Vaio VPCEB17 with Mobility 5650 and 1920x1080 internal display. I can have QE CI enabled with 10.7 kexts. However, my internal display was scrambled. So the first thing I would think of is 10.6.6 framebuffer personalities. After you uploaded your Howto file, I tried over night. Not working. I would like to need your favor to help me as belows 1. SenseID I got radeondump my VBIOS, as below. It is very unusual, the i2cid for LVDS is missing. No matter dump from radeondump in mac or everest in Win7, Both dumps are identical the same. I tried SenseID, 02, 03, 04, or even 00. None of them seems work for me. Is there any other way to get the SenseID? Please kindly help. Encoder and Transmitter RadeonHD.kext is not working for 5650m, So again, I really have problem to get correct information. I can try and eoor this part. Your kindly help is truely appreciated. Sony EB37 ATI 5650M full res but no QE

    The EDID Override should follow the instruction below. http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=208410 However, after EDID Override, sometimes we will get good result on our internal display, sometimes black screen with backlight on, sometimes scramble. Not quiet sure why, probably due to our FullHD internal display. Someone with EA report good result with QE CI. I even inject DualLink in the DSDT, still not working.

    I have an EB17 with FullHD internal display. Use the instruction at post #2, AtiConfig=Eulemur or Vervet, boot in the post, with EDID override . I can get QE CI on my internal display. However, sometimes I have no problem, sometimes only blank on my internal display. not 100%.

    100% HDD Load

    This problem happed to me also. It is Spotlight keep seeking and indixing your Windows NTFS partition. To solve this problem, just turn off the Spotlight in Windows partition from the pref. panel. Then you will find the HDD become quiet again, and work as used to be.
