    Patched AppleHDA for IDT92HD87B1/3

Here's my AppleHDA that I'm using on a Dell laptop with the IDT 92HD87b1/3. No other kext worked so I made my own. For Yosemite http://adf.ly/wEuXP

    FaceTime and iCloud not working

well, I just did a clean install of 10.7.2 on a new partition and both FaceTime and iCloud are still not working. I guess I gotta just accept that it won't work. Maybe it will after the next update. Thanks anyway for all the suggestions

    FaceTime and iCloud not working

How would I check my model besides system profiler? System profiler shows it as mac pro. I'll probably do a clean install tomorrow and hopefully that'll do it.

    FaceTime and iCloud not working

yea i switched ethernet to en1 but when it didn't work I switched it back. I do have the latest version of chameleon and the app store has been working for me. But your saying I should try to put ethernet back to en1 and then boot with ethernetbuiltin = yes? I don't know if this matters, but I have ethernet being recognized as built-in by dsdt. I forgot to tell you I only have 1 ethernet port. I also have wifi, firewire, and bluetooth that show up in Network Preferences.

    FaceTime and iCloud not working

thank you for the replies. I've tried all your suggestions and still not working. Are there any more possible solutions I could try? The curiosity is killing me. Right now the only thing I haven't tried is a clean install. But what if I do that and it still doesn't work?

    Try this one. IO80211Family.kext.zip
  11. Hello fellow hackintoshers. I'm having a problem with both FaceTime and iCloud not letting me log in. I'm on 10.7.2 and I CAN log into the app store and iTunes but FaceTime give the "Server encountered and error during registration" message and iCloud give the "This is an Apple ID but not an iCloud ID" message. It's a dell laptop that is 100% functional except for these problems and I've tried every possible solutions that has been posted already but nothing worked. What I've Tried... My ethernet is built-in. I've checked my hosts file. I've changed my smbios. I've tried changing the date & time preferences to automatically configure. I've tried different versions of chameleon and chimera including 755. I've tried deleting my network preferences.plist. I've tried ethernet builtin=yes with efi string. I've tried editing my dsdt. My Ethernet Card Realtek RTL8168B: Name: ethernet Type: Ethernet Controller Bus: PCI Slot: Built-in Vendor ID: 0x10ec Device ID: 0x8168 Subsystem Vendor ID: 0x1028 Subsystem ID: 0x0275 Revision ID: 0x0002 Link Width: x1 BSD name: en0 Kext name: RealtekRTL81xx.kext Location: /System/Library/Extensions/RealtekRTL81xx.kext Version: 0.0.90 I must be missing something and I'm hoping that someone else has had this problem and found a working solution. Please help me if you can. Thanks.

    Snow Leopard on Vostro 1710

This is really really really really simple if you already have a Leopard install. I've put hours of work in one zip file and made it as easy as I could. So, inside your Leopard partition start by opening Disk Utility and a make a new partition and call it Snow. Then run the universal snow 3.6 installer but make sure you install it to the new "Snow" partition you just made. Then install Chameleon to the "Snow" partition. Then replace the Extra folder, in the Snow partition, with the one I've supplied. Now make the Snow partition active. Reboot. This should get you into Snow Leopard where you can use kext helper to installer the last few kexts. It is really simple if you already have a Leopard install. If you did this exactly and are still having problems then completely start over by going into Disk Utility and erasing the Snow partition and re-installing. And make sure you customize the install and uncheck everything. Let me know how if goes.

    Snow Leopard on Vostro 1710

Alright. I finally decided to try to install Snow Leopard on my Dell Vostro 1710. I had an existing leopard partition which I used to install everything from. I will be walking you through what I did as well as attaching all my files I used because there is no other 1710's on here with Snow. Believe me I checked. And I wish there was, it might of helped me. First of all here is my setup: GMA X3100 ALC268 3gb Ram 320gb HD Blah Blah Blah That's good enough. Now for the good stuff. Alright, I used the Universal Snow Install 3.6. I made a partition called Snow in Disk Utility then I installed Snow Leopard to that partition right from Leopard. Then I installed Chameleon RC5 to that same partition. Then replace the Extra folder with the one I've provided. Boot in to Snow and install the rest of the stuff I've given you. And that's pretty much it. You might have to configure some stuff you way you like but not much. Easy right. That's because I've done all the work for you. I've modded my DSDT. Found all the kexts that work. Given you my c.a.boot.plist. Maybe I should sit here and tell you everything I've done to make this work so you have a better appreciation but I'm not going to. Oh, I included two audio kexts that both work. It's just the VoodooHDA works after sleep and the AppleHDA just works(louder, mic, autoswitching) but not after sleep, so I didn't know which to include. Enjoy. Weird DVD Sleep Problem

Hi everyone. I just installed 10.6.2 on my Vostro 1710 and everything is working good except for one weird problem I've never seen before. Alright so when I close my lid the DVD drive keeps ejecting every five seconds or so. It's a slot load dvd drive so that's why it can keep ejecting. I here a spin sound(like it's trying to eject a disc). Well here it is. This should keep you guys on your toes. Has anyone ever heard of this? What can I do?

    Leopard on Dell Vostro 1710

Hi, This is a great post. I found this at the perfect time because I just got my Vostro and I followed this almost exactly but I was wondering if anyone has got the internal microphone to work or if I have to use a headset. If so, no matter which way I have to do it, I'd really appreciate someone telling me what to do to get audio input. Thanks in advance. You can email me at: civic26psi@hotmail.com
