HDD - which type is best.

Thanks for your help. I can't remember where I read that but there was written that IDE hard disks doesn't require any drivers and that's why it is better. Anyway, thanks tgeml for that info and Beerkex'd for very useful links.
  3. I read somewhere some time ago that IDE drive is better for installing Mac OS X on PC because unlike SATA drives, it doesn't show "Still waiting for root device" error (which personally I experienced on my PC 2 times when I tried to install Snow Leopard - I have SATA drive). Is that true ?

  5. Hi, I recently (few minutes ago) downloaded and installed (on cleaned hard disk with GUID partition table and Mac OS X Extended Journaled partition) from DVD this: Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_Intel_AMD_made_by_Hazard. I'm pretty sure that I checked everything that my computer need and support. Here are my specs: Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 2.5 Ghz Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L (rev 1.0) Graphics: Palit GeForce 9800GT 1GB Super+ RAM: 4 GB (2 x 2GB) 800 Mhz DDR2 HDD: Maxtor 500 GB Audio card: Realtek ALC888 Network: Realtek RTL8139 I got the error from topic's title and here is what I checked: Mac OS X 10.6.2 Update Combo Intel Atom Kernel 10.2.0 Chameleon RC3 PCEFI 10.5 Graphic Enabler NVEnabler AppleHDA ALC888b for Gigabyte VoodooHDA (0.2.52 new) RTL8139 Ethernet RTL8169 Ethernet AHCI SATA Fix Extra/Extensions (not sure) Legacy SATA Fix (not sure) AppleRTC JMicronATA Injector IOATAFamily Fix IOATAFamily SATA Fix Extra/Extensions SMBIOSResolver UUID AdditionalFonts X11 Rosetta QuickTime 7 You can find info about that Snow Leopard image at The Pirate Bay (write in search: snow leopard hazard and the normal, not server client version, will be that). Please if you know what I have to check and what not, tell me because I lost all my data (games, files, programs - everything) to install Mac OS X - I thought that it will install with no problems. PS: PLEASE HELP ME (I know that I should create another topic)

    Choppy sound with AC97 Drivers

Never use drivers that you normally use for your sound card. Vmware emulates audio and its sound card is Sound Blaster PCI 128 but I haven't found any MAC drivers for it so any help would be very much appreciated. PS: I've got choppy & laggy sound too... PPS: Sorry for my English... Edit: I'm using original Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.2 as guest OS...
  8. How to transfer files between the host & guest OS ? My host OS is Windows XP Professional SP3 & My guest is Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.2. Please help me.
  9. Anyone knows how to boot virtual disk on real computer ? (I mean NOT virtual machine) In VMware Workstation, there is an option called Map which allows to attach virtual disk but I do not know how to boot from it. I've installed on it: iPC OSX86 with PPF5 10.5.6 Intel AMD SSE2 SSE3. If you know any program that makes a partition bootable, please give me its name or please help me in any other way. PS: Sorry for my English... Edit: Is it possible to explore macintosh partition on windows ?
