So I have a working apple ID for my appstore account and I was running into the issue other people reported about this account is valid, but not an iCloud account. I made some changes without intending to fix this (using DSDT now, updated my voodooHDA and removed appleHDA) and when I try to log into iCloud it says this device is no longer eligible to create a new apple ID. Is this related to my serial number, or is it something that is local to my machine? If it is the serial number, how do I go about generating a new one? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Dave
Hey Teeodor, I was getting KPs from voodooHDA as well. The solution I found was to delete the appleHDA kext from s/l/e. This fixed my issue and magically my wifi card is working again also. I think startup/shut down issues are generally solved with DSDT edits, but I have only started scratching the surface on using a DSDT for my machine.
