  2. I just can't seem to get this update to work on my system. I installed using the Uphuck 1.3 DVD and updated right away when I got into OS X. I backed up my extensions and the kernel, then installed the update (intel) and when it was done I moved the new kernel (intel) to / and chowned/chmodded (root:wheel and 644) and copied dsmos.kext to my extensions folder and chowned/chmodded it. Upon reboot - both in VMware and in native - once the initial kext loading passes (where all of them just fly by the screen, before the screen resolution changes and the kernel boots), it just restarts in native and crashes with some virtual kernel stack error in VMware. I can't even boot in safe or single user mode. Did anyone else experience this problem?

still waiting on root device problem

Too bad I'm on a SATA DVD-ROM aswell as my only IDE drive crashing yesterday So unless someone comes up with a way to utilize the SATA chipset on my P5N32-E SLI Plus (nForce 650i + nForce 570 SLI, a.k.a C55 + MCP55), I'm pretty much screwed.

    Localization Patch

    Yeah, same here.

    Localization Patch

To those who are having problems making it "work", did you do this? Also, click on the Format button when in the International menu, to change the way the clock, date and currencies are shown.

    Localization Patch

To actually make the new settings apply, I had to go to System Preferences and click the International button, then click and hold the pointer on my language and pull it to the top of the list and release the mouse button, THEN log out and back in. Nice patch though

    What network cards work?

My integrated gigabit NIC doesn't work. It's a part of the nForce3 250Gb chipset, and I tried following this guide, but it didn't work anyway

    Hacked PS/2 Driver :)

I've finally managed to make the keyboard work in OS X. I disabled USB keyboard and mouse support in BIOS and then put my mouse on PS/2 instead of USB. Voilá! It works! Thanks for the patch!

    Hacked PS/2 Driver :)

I tried your new patch, and unlike the last one, this one made the keyboard work in VMware. However, I still can't use it in native mode. My keyboard is a Logitech Ultra-X Flat (Model name Y-SX49). Would be very grateful if my problem could be solved. Keep up the good work!

    Hacked PS/2 Driver :)

If I don't apply the patch, the keyboard works in VMware, but not in native mode. If I patch, it doesn't work in VMware nor native. My system config is in one of my later posts on page one of this thread. Thanks for trying to help

    Hacked PS/2 Driver :)

Last time I did that, it didn't work. Oh well, I'll try it again. EDIT: Can't use the keyboard in OS X anymore Same thing as last time.

    Hacked PS/2 Driver :)

When I 'chown' the kext to system:wheel, it gives me the following error: chown: system: Invalid argument

I'll try formatting and reinstalling OS X once again, then applying the patch like Stern said.

Just saw something in verbose mode. KB: ApplePS2Keyboard: Unexpected acknowledge from PS/2 controller. Huh?
