  1. HD 7xxx-Can we eliminate the Sleep Trick?

Ok, I am now pretty damn sure that the problem is a bad implementation of non-UEFI bioses on the 7000-series. I've contacted MSI to try to get a UEFI bios for my card to make sure.
  2. HD 7xxx-Can we eliminate the Sleep Trick?

Are we certain that 7000-cards don't get the white-screen-bug (WSB from now on) on real Mac Pros? Someone must have tested this, but I can't find anything about it. If they do, then this might not be something we have to solve ourselves, it might just be an incomplete driver which will be fixed at 10.8.3 release. If they don't, then that means that the bug is because of something hackintosh-specific, like the bootloader or one of the (few) kexts we all have.
  3. GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 sleep problem

Partly solved by using EFI injection instead of GraphicsEnabler, thus giving me full QE with HD3000 and a passive 7950 which works fine when I reboot to windows. Not perfect, but a damn sight better than when I started
  4. GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3 sleep problem

OK, after many (many!) hours of back and forth, this is now isolated to the AMD 7950. If i remove it, I get sleep and the HD3000 gets QE through GraphicsEnabler. If the 7950 is in the computer, GraphicsEnabler doesn't work and without it I get no sleep, and no QE.
  5. After installing 10.8.2 on my computer and getting almost everything to work, I now have two issues. My AMD 7950, and sleep. Unfortunately, to get 7950 to work, I need sleep to work due to a cold boot bug which no one has been able to fix. I use a DSDT.aml.zipDSDT which is selfgenerated, and then fixed by Rampage Dev to include 7950. I also have a SSDT.aml for my 2600K, and will post it if needed. As far as I know, I have no strange kexts, but a full ls -l lsl.txt.zip is included. I boot with no switches in my bootloader.
  6. AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

Thanks, man Now I just have the sleep issues left, and I'm done.
  7. AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

I kid you not, that makes it 32 errors instead of 4. That could be because the first error is now fixed and a ton of other errors are then found of course. (Pretty standard for compilation errors in my experience. Fix that one missing semicolon, and a {censored}storm comes your way) Edit: New errors point to an already existing GFX0, which is correct... I'm going to upload my existing DSDT, if you could have a look at it that'd be great. Note that this is the unedited version, pre-7000-series. https://dl.dropbox.com/u/117580/DSDT.aml
  8. AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

I did, but I got these errors the last time as well: The line number points to the device ID which I changed. It just looks like this: Buffer (0x04) { 0x9A, 0×67, 0×00, 0×00 },
  9. AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

Easy for you to say, you know a lot more than I do about this stuff But I am going to try again. This time I'll ignore the guide and follow the video, which is a lot less confusing.
  10. AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

I don't understand your guide, Rampage... Is there another guide somewhere?
  11. AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

Sigh... DSDT editor gives me 5 errors when I insert the patch for my mobo...
  12. AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

Exactly. I actually knew that Got the system up again after installation now. Everything but DSDT, and of course I'm leaving 10.8.3 till last and taking a CCC backup this time.
  13. AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

By the way, I'm assuming GraphicsEnabler=No still needs to be set in the boot plist after getting this to work? I'm basically putting my weekend towards this.
  14. AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

Not new, but haven't done it in a while. Pre-DSDT to put it that way.
  15. AMD 7970 Working With Full QE !

Why are you laughing at me, I just did what this guy told me: #####################
