  1. ATI HD3850 QE/CI without! Natit or any efi gfx string

Did anyone get this card 100% working on AGP??
  2. GeForce 200 series support

Do these drivers work on laptop GFX mobile versions (such as 230M etc)??? Thanks, Tony
  3. Hi guys, I just sold my brand new Sony Vaio Z56 , because getting the GFXcard on this laptop was impossible to get it working (without an external display). I almost bought a brand new MacBook Pro today just to save some hassle, but since there seem to be support for better cards in the OSX86 community i would like to ask you guy for some help. Simply put, what is the best mobile gfx card is currently supported using injectors such as NVEnabler or DSDT methods. I would like to know what laptop you are using, type of gfxcard and if you have fulle QE/CE support. Thanks, Tony
  4. Intel Wireless Drivers [OSx86]

can someone please release this kext for 64-bit snow leopard? seems the kext is loading fine under x32 but now my other drivers are corrupted. thanks, tony
  5. Okay so far: - I tried all NVInjectors - I tried GM 4500 HD patch (resolution fix) No way to get the Video cards working in higher resolutions. The NVIDIA rom can not be extracted because its part of the BIOS (so no Chameleon BIOS loading ).
  6. Hi guys, I just received my Vaio Z so i am here in the mess with you guys. As i am already experienced with modding OSX86 hoping we can help eachother out. So far i have used the following kext files to boot from an external SnowLeopard USB disk. - Slice Modded IOPCFamily.kext (solves USBfix) - VoodooPS2Controller (keyboard/ALPS trackpad support) Currently i am playing with the NVEnabler to get the NVidia card working, but like others it seems quiete impossible to get this to work with the internal screen. Is there any way to convert the Injector info to a valid EFI string? Still to be tested is to dump the NVidia BIOS and insert it using Chameleons BIOS options (this new function seems to work pretty nice on my Desktop). PS: I also tried the GMA 4500 patch to enable the resolutions when using the 4500HD card, but it seems it didnt work. Cheers, Tony
  7. ACPI (DSDT) Patcher for BIOS and AML

Great PROJECT !!! Would be even nicer to see this project converted under "Mono .NET" so we can run this utility on Mac. PM me if you need some help with this. Cheers, Tony
  8. ATI HD3850 QE/CI without! Natit or any efi gfx string

Sounds really awesome. Up till no, only the EFI_String 3850_MEGALODON has worked for me. Still no QE though. Hoping that patching the DSDT will fix this once and for all !. PS: i have a AGP Sapphire 3850... lots of issues getting it to work.
  9. it works!!! realy awesome work!!! thanks a million !
  10. you will need to update the cache after copying the file to the System/Library/Extensions folder. open terminal and type: sudo kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions
  11. Rebuilding mkext files

Hi all, i just upgraded to Snow yesterday and all is fine and well, except some questions regarding rebuilding the mkexts in snow. I noticed my trusty -k switch is gone obsolete since version 10.6 so i cant rebuild my kext using: kextcache -k /System/Library/Extensions Instead i now use the following (inside a script) and run as root. sudo kextcache -v 1 -a i386 -a x86_64 -m /Extra/Extensions.mkext /Extra/Extensions sudo kextcache -v 1 -a i386 -a x86_64 -m /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions.mkext /System/Library/Extensions so as far as i can tell, the Extensions.mkext located in the /System/Library/Extensions.mkext has been moved to /System/Library/Caches/com.apple.kext.caches/Startup/Extensions are these the only changes for the Extension mkext files? or am i missing something else? Thanks, Tony
  12. New AGPGart

I also didnt succeed using the ATI Radeon HD Installer with AGPArt (Radeon 3850 512mb id:9515). With the older Natit.kext and AGPGart 2.71, the card works (when setting the Arpeture at 32MB ONLY!!). I did change the HOST_Base to 0xe80000, and this leaves me with a blue screen as i set the aperture to 64 or 128mb). So far no QE/CL for me .. but if anytone (Slice!!! we need you please put down some tips). Cheers, Tony
  13. New AGPGart

Okay... Here is a wierd issue (with Radeon 3850 AGP (512mb), Dev-id 9515). When i set the AGP aperture in the BIOS to either 64 or 128 AGPGart crashes. If i lower my AGP aperture to 32mb AGPGart loads fine but NO hardware acc. or QuartzExtreme. What can/should i change to get AGPGart working with the prefered aperture ? Thanks in advance, Tony PS: Included are the log files for the lower (non-crashing) aperture (32mb). dmesg12345.txt ioreg12345.txt
