[GUIDE] Lenovo T460 macOS with Clover

@thedeliveryboy Hi there, My card isn't working either, which is annoying because I used that a lot (sharing the connection with my phone drains its battery). I works without problems in windows though. I remember @barrrrt was the one who posted all the kexts to the get card working. Maybe he can help. I'll search on OSXLatitude forum, I remember they had an active thread with wwan kexts and instructions to make different cards work.

[GUIDE] Lenovo T460 macOS with Clover

A piece of advice and a request for help here in the same message... Dual boot with Windows 10 has been a pain since the beginning. First I used Paragon HFS+, bad idea, it corrupted my OS X partition and had to re-install from zero. It seems to be a known issue, it can mess your OS X drive tomorrow or in a year, which is not comforting at all. Stay away from that software. Second I inadvertently updated Windows 10, the bloody thing started downloading stuff and rebooting the computer without me doing anything, and messed the EFI partition so I had to boot from the usb install disk and fix the EFI. Big problem comes here. I had been using the Huawei M906S WWAN following @barrrt instructions (thank you!), it worked flawlessly. Just before updating Windows 10 I had tested the WWAN card and it worked perfectly. After rebooting and fixing the EFI partition the Huawei no longer works on OS X I've tried everything to no avail (uninstalling and installing kexts again, even physically removing the WWAN card, and several combinations of the former). The card is somehow locked, it is detected by the system but I get an error message every time I try to connect (phone line is not detected, it connects and disconnects very quickly). I know @thedeliveryboy and @barrrt are using this card. Have you had any problem with Windows messing with your card? Any ideas? It's really annoying, I'm erasing the Windows partition and using Virtual Box instead. I don't actually use Windows at all. Thank you for reading this. --------------- SOLVED: It's really simple, do not disconnect the wwan modem before exiting windows it somehow shuts down the modem and doesn't allow it to work properly on OS X. That's about it. I hope it helps anyone, I was going crazy... P.S. If you want to get rid of those pesky automatic updates in Windows 10 set on tour Wi-Fi metered connection so it won't force downloads over a metered network.

@superbboy thank you for pointing that out. Sleepwatcher works like a charm now, I no longer have issues with wifi after sleep.

@tluck Yeap, it seems sleepwatcher is not running I don't get that line in the middle. I've checked and the files are indeed installed on etc library and usr folders...

@tluck Thanks a lot. I properly installed the scripts into / of my HD but I'm still getting the same problem. After sleep download transfer rates drop to make internet connections almost unusable. I get this when I run "ps -ef | greep sleep": 501 587 580 0 5:12PM ttys000 0:00.00 grep sleep

@tluck Thanks again for your input. I've checked and my wifi works perfectly if I turn it off before sleep. I thought I had installed your scripts as described on step 4a of the Post Install guide but I can get the patch_nvram_save_scripts.command to work. If I use the Terminal I get "command not found", if I double click directly on patch_nvram_save_scripts.command, files that are indeed inside the root folder don't get found. I post a couple of screenshots. Probably I'm doing something stupid but I can't see what it is... Thanks for your time, your job is amazing.

@superbboy I have a similar issue, though mine doesn't get any better after successive wake-sleep cycles. Basically wifi becomes unusable after sleep, extremely slow transfer rates, which is really annoying... After rebooting everything is fine. Have you tried disabling wake for WIFI access in Energy Saver preferences? Some people with a similar issue have found that helps. In my case that didn't change a thing :-( Any ideas?

@HarveyDX I also have a T460s and I had a lots of problems with the installer myself. Probably your problem is different than mine but try using a different USB stick. Mine was defective and after a used a new one and follow step by step all the instructions the installer worked flawlessly.

[GUIDE] Lenovo T460 macOS with Clover

@tluck - After clover loads I go to Options -> Graphics Injector -> InjectIntel FakeID:0x12345678 After the installer boots in verbose I always get stuck in the same line (1st image posted above): 000033.547509 HS04@14400000: AppleUSBHostPort : :disconnect: persistent enumeration failures After 10 seconds the screen gets glitchy (2nd image posted). It actually seems to be doing something (jumps from time to time) but I can't read clearly what is says, it looks like it keeps writing "still waiting for root device". The USB installation drive is blinking all the time. I'm doing a clean install using your package. I'll start from scratch again just in case there's something wrong with the USB installer. Just for clarification after I execute sudo mount -t msdos /dev/disk1s1 /Volumes/ESP-USB Can I simply drag an drop the EFI folder from T460-distribute? (that's how I've been doing it until now) Thanks a lot for your time.

[GUIDE] Lenovo T460 macOS with Clover

Hi there, I just got a T460s, I've been using a X220 thanks to @tluck great guide on the other post. I'm stuck with a recurrent KP at the beginning of the installation. I'm posting a couple of pictures. My specs are 192GB m2 NVMe SATA SSD, 12GB RAM and 1920x1080 non-touch display. Injecting Fake graphics DeviceID doesn't change a thing. Any idea? Thank you! EDIT: Maybe it has something to do with the NVMe SSD drive, I'm looking at this thread http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/312803-patch-for-using-nvme-under-macos-sierra-is-ready/?p=2322636 It looks daunting though... @thedeliveryboy did you had any problems on the initial installation on your T460s? EDIT 2: My drive is SATA still checking for solutions...

Lenovo ThinkPad T420 with UEFI Only

@tluck my x220 has one usb3 port (which I never managed to get working under Yosemite) and, as far as I know, no non-intel ports. I have to play more with Sierra, though not being able to use the WWAN module is a big disadvantage for me. Thanks.

I got it working in 10.10.5 but haven't been able to get it working on Sierra. I never updated to El Capitan. It seems the way usb ports are handled has been changed since El Capitan and that you should use USB injector kext and do some DSDT patching. There's more info here: http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/6556-using-ericsson-f5521gw-hp-hs2340-hspa-dell-dw5550-in-os-x/ and here: http://forum.osxlatitude.com/index.php?/topic/9275-problems-with-ericsson-f5521gw-under-10116/ It seems it's possible to get it working, I haven't had time to give it a try, I actually got Sierra kind of working with minor issues on a external HD and haven't check it again in weeks since I'm still using Yosemite on my X220. I hope it helps, let me know if you make any progress.

Lenovo ThinkPad T420 with UEFI Only

@tluck Something was wrong with my install. The config.plist wasn't loading. I did a fresh install and pasting that into the config.plist solved it. Thank you so much for your help.

Lenovo ThinkPad T420 with UEFI Only

@sheep_reaper Thank you! The config.plist is already in the OEM/4291BG/ folder so it theoretically should be reading it alright. @tluck I'm gonna try your suggestion and will post back the results, again thanks for your time.

@tluck This is weird... I must be doing something wrong because I'm editing the config.plist on the OEM folder! I even deleted the other config.plist. But still it only changes to 8,1 if set in the Clover boot options...
