  1. I have the same board and the same issue, playing a movie causes the system to lag. Hopefully someone out there knows what the problem might be. I have an i7 quad 950 at 4ghz with 6gb of corsair XMS. I'm using kexts: HDAEnabler.kext IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext IONetworkingFamily.kext JMicron36xeSATA.kext LegacyHDA.kext NullCPUPowerManagement.kext fakesmc.kext I know there's an issue where sata is slower on ports 1-5 but I thought that was fixed. In any case my main disk is in sata/0 and it's still slow.
  2. modified dsdt made no difference to my sleep problem. Machine goes to sleep but fails to wake, i get a black screen for 10-20 seconds then it reboots. Foxconn Blackops X48 with ICH9R. Any advice much appreciated.. i followed the tutorial to the letter.
  3. A Simple Guide to the 4830/4850/4870/4870x2/4890

Anyone got any ideas for getting dual screens working on a HD4890? I tried dvi2vga adapter on the 2nd screen but it just says no signal. Connecting the 2nd screen via dvi causes kernel panic. Either dvi port on its own is working. I guess this will be fixed but its irritating....
