  1. I don't think nothing happened while swapping the GFX cards, Windows works OK. When I say that even with the USB install doesn't boot, is because it does exactly the same than when booting from the EFI partition, Chameleon starts to load but don't finish booting (with the USB it doesn't display the alphanumeric error, it just doesn't continue). I am nearly sure that if I put my old card again it should boot. I know that these 280x cards have a bigger bios than normal cards, maybe this is the problem with chameleon. I appreciate all your help EDIT: Solved! I replaced chameleon with Clover and it works perfect.
  2. I still have my 8gb pendrive that I used to install Mavericks. This pendrive was generated with pandora's box, but it doesn't boot either. Which USB installer do you recommend so I don't mess up my OSX installation? Sorry about my inexperience with all that stuff.
  3. The problem is that even chameleon doesn't load, you can see it in the screenshot I attached on my first e-mail, this error is from chameleon, not from OSX loading.
  4. If I remember correctly this EFI string is for the onboard audio, most of the patches are for AD2000b audio found on my motherboard. I tried to remove it anyway but it gives the same error.
  5. I have the rig of my signature with 8gb ram and until now a Radeon 5850 that worked flawlessly under Mavericks 10.9.1 I replaced the video card with a Gigabyte R9 280x, after that it cannot even show the chameleon bootloader. I attach here my org.chameleon.Boot.plist and a shot from the error that chameleon shows. If possible I want a quick fix, not reinstalling all over again. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>CSTUsingSystemIO</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>DSDT</key> <string>/Extra/dsdt.aml</string> <key>Default Partition</key> <string>hd(1,1)</string> <key>EnableC2State</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EnableC3State</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EnableC4State</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GenerateCStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>GeneratePStates</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1080x32</string> <key>HDAEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>HDEFLayoutID</key> <string>63000000</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>PciRoot</key> <string>1</string> <key>SystemType</key> <string>3</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>7</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0000000001010600051c0101060000007fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001</string> </dict> </plist> Thanks in advance

    AppleHDA patching in Mountain Lion

Thank you Micky, but that patch is what I used back in august 2012 and it worked, but since last update of Mountain Lion doesn't work. Need I patch again? I don't remember how I did it, is there a good guide for this kind of patching? Thank you very much. EDIT: OK, very easy, I only had to put again my patched applehda replacing the previous one, and run kext utility. Things are back like they were.

    AppleHDA patching in Mountain Lion

Is there a patch for AD2000b integrated soundcard? I have an Asus P5Q-E motherboard that worked OK until latest update.

    Help finetuning Lion install

Thanks again Noam AA, I removed sage.kext and patched the other LAN, works flawlessly even after sleep. I made a mistake thinking the shutdown issue with the USB was fixed, but it isn't. USB power is on after shutdown (when sleep all leds are off). Any ideas of what can I try? The other thing is audio volume control using SPDI, I think is not possible but can someone confirm. Anyway I'm happy to solve the sleep problem that was very annoying. Thanks

    Help finetuning Lion install

Finally good news! Sleep is working now perfectly and also the problem of usb with power after shutdown is gone. The solution was real easy, there is a bios option with Energy Star 4.0c compatibility that should stay disabled. Now the only thing giving trouble is when the computer wakes I have no LAN. The solution is unload the next before sleep and reload it when awake, but I don't know how to do that automatically.

Sorry I edited the message while you where posting. Yes, I deleted sage & nullcpu. I am not using AppleRTC patch. In chameleon pref pane I don't see any nativePM (My Hackintosh is Spanish), but generate C-States & P-States is disabled , should I enable them?

I removed nullcpu & skge, computer tries to sleep but fans still on, the result is bios cleared because I don't have patched AppleRTC. I tried removing NullCPU and sleep doesn't work, the computer freezes giving screen corruption. Help finetuning Lion install

Thanks Noam AA, but I think my motherboard doesn't have Atheros LAN, both LANs are Marvell. My board is basically an Asus P5Q Deluxe, so I need these kexts
  14. I just installed Lion (Apple Store version) clean install, without updating from Snow Leopard. Everything went quite smooth. I only added this Kexts: - AD2000b.kext - HDAEnabler.kext - IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext - skge.kext - NullCPUPowerManagement.kext - FakeSMC.kext The problem is when computer goes to sleep, even from the Apple Menu Bar, fans are still on, and screen off. I have to hard reset the computer, so no sleep & no wake up Other thing I noticed is when I turn the computer off, the USB is still powered because the mouse led are on. This doesn't happen in Windows or Linux. Last problem, is I cannot change volume control when audio is in SPDIF, for analog it works ok. The computer is the one in my signature, and I used DSDT Autopatcher. Thanks
Salu2 y gracias
