[How to] Have sound on all of your speakers.

Hi macgirl, if I followed your tutorial but only see this: This is my setup: Maybe you know what I'm doing wrong? I have got the Audigy 2ZS. EDIT: I lately recognized that I can't uninstall soundflower (EXC_BAD_INSTRUCTION (SIGILL)) - wtf?

    Driver for nForce4 LAN

Hi eno, You know, I'm reaching my borders, I'm trying to get OSX running since December 23rd '08, and at the beginning I fought the fight, bought new HDD, installed over and over again so that I can use my OSX stable and hours long now, watching HD movies and so on. But I still get a freeze screen if I use internet in any way, reset is the only option. I use Kalyway 10.5.2. My system is in the signature. What do I have to do exactly with the nForceLAN folder from the zip? I just copy n pasted it to /System/Library/Extensions, please just tell me if this is right I also tried your forcedeth 0.3 with the method told by you. Also tried turnind of sleep-functions, at all ... no success. I'm a OSX/BSD noob, only know Windows.

    Safe Mode, but not Normal

Hello, according to that nobody answers on my question there, I'm just joining this thread cause your problems sound quite similar to mine and I wasn't able to find help, anywhere - google always points on this forum. I have to say that I'm a OSX n00blet and not really able to follow all your explanations in detail, but what I can say is: 1. tried Leo4All, didn't match in any way, also after 5th install ("still waiting for root device") 2. tried this tutorial and was able to boot; had cruel graphic bugs everytime sth. was animated (spaces etc.). Ethernet & sound went well. Sadly at about 40 seconds up to 4 minutes, the whole system freezes and says nothing, only way is reseting the machine. SAFEMODE: Runs, over hours. 3. tried install Kalyway 10.5.2 again without natit for ATI. Only installed the very neccessary things. 4. No more graphic bugs, damn fast animations etc., but f**** freeze again. Sometimes it feels like the freeze only arives if I use ethernet/ connect to my PPPOE. SAFEMODE: As usual, runs, over hours. 5. Tried the Apple graphic update and this forcedeth.kext, but no changes I don't know if this is the same problem, but maybe man could exclude that is my AMD, so it just could be the Nforce (which might lead to a solution, I hope so ... ) Sys: CPU : AMD 64 X2 4400+ Mobo: Asus A8N-SLI SE Nforce4 RAM: 2GB DDR1-400 Kingston HyperX VGA: Sapphire ATI X1900XT 512 MB HDD: 400 GB SEAGATE IDE P.S.: Might there be an Web 2.0 online tool for getting usefull Systeminfos for putting em into signature?

    X1900XT freezes in normal mode

Hello everybody! First I have to say a very big thank you to everybody who is involved in making the whole OSX86-thing possible - that's what I was thinking of a long time, just untill I trapped into an article, and now I'm here, uber happy about having the gorgeous Leopard (from which I'll get a license soon) (nearly) running on my PC. A donation is for sure. My OSX86 version: Kalyway_10.5.2.DVD.Intel.Amd.PC7.BY.TALA I followed this (great) tutorial. My PC: > Mainboard : Asus A8N-SLI SE > Chipset : nVidia nForce4 > Prozessor : AMD Athlon 64 X2 4400+ @ 2200 MHz > Memory : 2048 MB (2 x 1024 DDR 400 ) > Grafikkarte : Radeon X1900 Series (X1900XT 512MB) > HDD : SEAGATE ST320020A 80 GB (IDE) > DVD-Rom Laufwerk : HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-H42N (IDE) > Monitortyp : BenQ BenQ FP93GX - 19 inchs The issue: If I boot in normal mode (without any start options) I boot up to the desktop successfully, but there are graphic bugs, including shattered animation using spaces, tiled icons and green horizontal stripes all over the screen. AND after round about 40-60 seconds, the whole screen freezes, I just can move the mouse. I can't do anything else than rebooting. If I boot in safe mode, the system runs, there are no GUI bugs. Yesterday it ran for 8 hours. Even sleepmode runs perfectly (damn how fast is this?). But it's safemode ... I know that I have to reinstall the system again (will be the 14th), but I don't have the skills to find out the solution by myself, so it might be helpfull if I knew what to do exactly. I think it's a driver issue, but which drivers could run stable? Anyone with same experiences? I would be glad about some helpfull answers. All in all I used the OSX this Friday for the first time of my life, and all I can say is that those guys from Apple really know their matter. This system brings computing to the next level for me!
