  1. PCI Configuration Begin

I have tried every single method I have found online and still can't get past this dreaded PCI Config. I am using Asus PK5C flashed to PK5R, e6750, 9800GT, 4GB Ram, works fine on 10.6. I am using custom DSDT from 10.6> As far as I can tell, Lion detects my card fine, so I don't know if the PCI Config hang is actually due to graphics or not? This is what flashes up for a second before the bit which hangs: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16689497/_DSC3135.jpg This is the hang: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16689497/_DSC3198.jpg My DSDT can be viewed here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/16689497/dsdt.aml <key>DSDT</key> <string>/Extra/dsdt.aml</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1200x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-v arch=i386 npci=0x2000</string> <key>SMBIOS</key> <string>/Extra/smbios.plist</string> <key>SystemId</key> <string>1B81CEDA-7BBF-314A-B6F2-EFB938E4370A</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> I'm at a loss, I keep thinking it must be something simple but i'm out of ideas.
  2. Have you tried the VoodooHDA in my last post? I'm confident that should work.
  3. I can confirm that the VoodooHDA found Here works. It's inside trunk/build/Release Appleclip. This has fixed the popping noise and seems perfect. Still don't know why AppleHDA with DSDT didn't work, it found the device in profiler. Now I just need to fix Ethernet. It finds the device, gives me a self assigned IP but I get: [AttansicL1Ethernet] Error: Mac address through SPI is invalid AttansicL1Ethernet: Ethernet address 00:00:e0:44:c3:07 Also I don't know what this is but it keeps repeating: Assertion failed: file "/SourceCache/AirPortDriverBrcm4311/AirPortDriverBrcm4311-410.91.20/src/shared/macosx_osl.cpp", line 936: mbuf_flags(m) & MBUF_PKTHDR Thanks

  5. I'll also post some solutions to problems I encountered: After crossflashing p5kc my system failed to post (no beep, no video) - solution was to use the right hand memory banks on the board instead of the middle. If you have 4 sticks installed it probably won't be an issue. If you cannot boot your usb or get to the installer screen, make sure you have your sata drive in port 1. If you get stuck on a grey screen when trying to reach the installer, you will need to use dsmos.kext in Extra/Extensions on your usb. Once it is installed, use fakesmc.kext instead. (dsmos.kext won't work after you update to 10.6.2)
  6. Hi Scrax, Thanks for the great guide on installing snow leopard on crossflashed Pk5c. I used it for reference and have successfully installed Snow on my PC. -I used Chameleon RC4 boot (now overwritten with ScraxInstallerv2.6.pkg to try and make audio/lan work) -I'm using the dsdt.aml you included in the download. -I have just fakesmc in E / E (tried LegacyAppleHDAHardware...iver.kext and LegacyHDAPltformDriver.kext for audio along with AppleHDA but did nothing) -Installed all Kexts in InstallOnSystem you supplied -I have c2d 2.66 same as you, 9800GT, 4GB ram, P5Kc (p5kr 0703) My problem is: AttansicL1Ethernet is detected but only has self assigned IP and will not connect to internet. Something about Mac address in the boot -v. (This also failed to work after I crossflashed my bios (0703) on Leopard 5.7) I have no audio using your AppleHDA. I can get audio with VoodooHDA but it is bad and makes a popping sound. I am using the dsdt.aml from your installer. I am not sure if it's something in my DSDT? I have looked and have been reading up about editing it for ages but don't know if anything needs to be changed. Maybe I could try using your DSDT as we have the same cpu and board? I also found your post about SSDT.aml, I have put that in Extra to try but don't really know if it is being used or if it would work. I know alot of people ask you about this but it would be really great if you could point me in the right direction as to what could be wrong. Maybe it's something simple I am not seeing? Thanks again,
  7. Hello Pinebanana, thanks for replying. My H/W specs are: CPU : Intel E6750 RAM : DDR2 PC6400 1G*4 = 4G (2 x Geil, 2 x Corsair) M/B : Asus P5Kc (P35) J micron & ICH9 Video : Geforce 8800GT 512MB Sound : Realtek HD (onBoard) HDD : Hitachi 7K1000.B 1TB, Samsung F1 750GB Installed with iAtkos 7, all fine until I add the extra 2GB ram, even fails if I add 1GB to make the total 3GB. It boots perfect if I just use any ram to make 2GB total. I managed to fix this issue by finding this thread and installing the modified JMicronATA: v0.6 and AppleATIATA: v0.1 kexts. This seemed to work at first but then randomly after a reboot or shutdown it would fail to boot again, I think this had something to do with after I used my windows partition it would fail to boot again. Then I backed up my system and installed the oem 10.5.8 update via apple update, rebooted and now the system works fine with 4GB! I have yet to go back into my Windows partition just incase it goes wrong again :/ Hope that helps, let me know.
  8. Back to the drawing board... After a reboot it won't work again so I have no idea why it did before :/ Doesn't anyone know?
  9. Ok well after hours of searching I managed to fix it. Not sure which thing did it yet but I used the "himemory_mode-0" command at the bootloader which enables more memory to be used apparently. I also installed a different AHCI kext and removed AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext at the same time but don't know if they made any difference.
  10. This is what it hangs on: MAC Framework successfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 cluster IO buffer headers IOAPIC: Version 0x20 Vectors 64:87
  11. Probably not but... in "About This Mac" it identifies my system as an iMac which I assume would only have 2 dimm slots on the board. It wouldn't be an issue with using more than 2 dimm slots causing this would it? On a side note is there anyway to change what machine the Mac is identified as or to change it saying the memory is running at 800mhz instead of 667mhz?
  12. Hi there, I've just upgraded from 2gb to 4gb ram, everything is fine in the bios etc and will boot into Vista no problem. However when I try to boot into my Leopard installation it gets to the white screen with the apple logo in the middle and then stops and does nothing. I tried using the -v command to boot and basically it just starts MAC framework and then stops. Anyone had this problem before or know what could be causing it? Thanks
