been while since I last posted, i have a quick question.. im not sure when exactly but somehow during the day my trackpad and keyboard just stopped working... I checked my applehidkeyboard and mouse which seem intact and then i tried one of the ps2 drivers which did nothing... Some recent changes are that i just updated to 4 gb of ram.. and i just got a wacom intuos4 tablet and the drivers for that. but everything was working for atleast 2 days. anyone got any thoughts? ps running 10.5.8 ideneb *******FIXED******** I just found the 3 ps2 files on my comp in extensions and reinstalled the kexts... the keyboard, mouse, and trackpad ps2s. Still have no clue why this happened in the first place but hey... apple wrote osx =)

oh yay looks like my attempt at trying 10.6 is ending early since 10.6 wont boot unless i replace the com.apple.driver.acpi_smc_platformplugin extension.from an earlier working version. i don't have anymore discs on me right now so i guess ill have to wait.

Okay so Intel Speed Step is fully working with the VoodooPower.kext version 1.2.3 Its showing all the different steps with the Generic Cpu Power Management App, All different frequencies and everything.
  5. MSI MegaBook GX700 owners experieces

hey Opium Nuts Did you install osx with the genericcpumanagment ? or did you find a kext or installed it after?
  6. MSI MegaBook GX700 owners experieces

Has anyone figured out how to get sound to work via hdmi? And how to enable the 3 inputs (mic, line in,out) into 5.1 like we can on xp? we switch it into Left/Right, Rear right and left, Center/subwoofer. Anyone tried swapping the wifi card?
  7. MSI MegaBook GX700 owners experieces

well the os doesnt log something correctly and doesnt shut down, when i hold the power button down and shut it down after its just black screaned (still running) and then in the morning i turn it on and go into xp, check the mac drive with macdrive and i cant access it and it posts an error that the drive is faulty. which clearly means the os isn't shutting down and logging everything right.. i then have to reboot into osx then restart from withen osx and boot into xp in order to have all the files i need available.

....you have to FORCE shutdown the laptop, no offence or anything and great work on everything but how is having to force shutdown by holding down the power bot not a problem?
  9. MSI MegaBook GX700 owners experieces

"'did all the kext/cpu stuff and audio installed vanilla kernel.... and then when i put it to sleep it goes to sleep.. when it wakes up.. kernel crash..?""" yea sorry i ment "installed VoodooKernel"" and yea still dont have shutdown, and sleep just loads up the cpu when its woken up. CPUX still shows same values and multiples are still 11 (10.5) BUT. i dont know if cpux shows realtime change and i did get close to an hour and 20 minutes of battery life.. which is almost double what i got for 10.5.5 and vooodoo 9.5 (also using bios 3.19)

thanks for the guide Tangra i did everything that you said and got it booted up and working alongside xp did all the kext/cpu stuff and audio installed vanilla kernel.... and then when i put it to sleep it goes to sleep.. when it wakes up.. kernel crash..? also how did you check that your cpu was optimizating? what bios are you running? and is there anything else?
  11. MSI MegaBook GX700 owners experieces

great How-To ill give it a try, how did you go about dual booting? because i used tboot before but i need to get into xp before osx now?
  12. MSI MegaBook GX700 owners experieces

Hey Tangra for the audio i installed with Apple Azilia Then after it booted i went into osx, downloaded the aple hda patcher got the file that Alyosa attached, i just directly dragged the file from safari right onto my desktop. then I went into System/Libary/Extensions and deleted - Appleazilia.kext - Applehda.kext Then once that was deleted i draged the .txt right onto the applehdapatcher app, let it run, restarted and selected sound inputs/outputs And hey Tangra, does your sleep mode wake properly? and have you replaced your wireless card by anychance?
  13. MSI MegaBook GX700 owners experieces

Hey Tangra, this is what i have in my system profile for graphics, and as you can see i used the NVinject from install, i tried installing the newer version but i had slightly sluggish performance, so went to 0.2.1. Maybe try that out. But I'm about to reinstall with the iDeneb 1.4 and ill see if that works out. I'v got speedstep on in bios i don't know how well its working since i cant find a realtime cpu clock like cpuz (tried cpux) maybe it is showing it accurately as a full time multiplayer of 11
